Annette, I\'m sure Webbie could take on an apprentice. Mr. Annette might as well get started on the cart pushing, gum scraping business now. WAIT! Caleb needs a job! As long as he has an iPod hooked to his ears he can do almost anything.

Liz, Mr. Mies DID redeem himself by taking me to a nice dinner.

Okay, better go lay my 39 year old bones down to recover from eating too much. Pat, Mar, Liz, Phillis, Webbie thanks again...

Many thanks ya all for the birthday greetings. And the all the bright smilies.

I read everything REALLY fast before Webbie deleted it like Pat\'s valentines.. (Thanks Webbie for the special greeting)...You guys are the bestest ever...You make me feel 39 again...Whoops, I am 39! I meant younger than my 39 years...Let\'s see, that would make me born in 1971. Yup, that\'s close enough, give or take a few years.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MIES!!! Isn\'t it nice to be 39? I hope you\'re having a beautiful day. Perhaps there is a \'handsome Bob\' around when Mr Mies is bird hunting. hehehehe

Webbie, Mr A visited a concert of Mitch Ryder yesterday. Must have been a great show. He\'s 65 but rocked like a 20-year-old. So, why not push a cart when someone is 98... hehehehe Thanks, for the photo on the Cam. It was a very foggy day and we really worried about the right way.

Have a nice start into the new week all.

Phillis, too bad about your kitchen, I hope it’ll be fixed soon, and I hope you won’t need to shelter in your cellar, too scary!

Liz, great to know you had fun with your friends, I hope you’ll keep having fun before your autumm arrives By the way, when you win the lotto count on me too, ha, haaa…

Hello everyone, sorry I\'ve been absent these last days, but appart of being busy, working and trying to start my regular activities, I\'m convinced that 2010 is my \"Annus Horribilis\", there\'s nothing serious going on, thank God, but I don\'t feel completely fine: the weather is awful and it makes me feel awful; my throat doesn\'t get totally cured; my knee is starting to hurt again, my migrains are harder than ever... I hate to complain and to feel pity for myself, so I won\'t talk about this any more, I promise, but I hope you\'ll understand why I was absent here, I hope I\'ll be writing here more often from now on, I only want happiness and I\'ll have it!!! I\'ll fix my throat, my knee and my head with the help of doctors and homeopathy, and I\'ll fix my humour with the help of my beloved friends (thank you!!!) and when spring comes (soon, I hope), ok?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MIES!

Ah, 39 again, and as beautiful as ever! I hope you have a great day, Sister-Friend.

You are right, Steph. It is wise to have a back-up heating system for emergencies, and maybe it can save a little money sometimes. I don\'t see that electric costs are going to do anything except rise. I found out where my return air goes, it goes back to the the plenum in the condenser, so it stays within the closed system and can be used just like I want to do, with the heat source being my gas fireplace instead of metered electric. Yee-hah! Of course, that\'s not as basic as burning wood, but better than sending so many dollars up in smoke. Actually, though, there is no smoke. It\'s just a heat exchange.

Cont.

It\'s a beautiful, sunny day here, will get up to almost 70F...that\'s the reason God made Florida. Lots of things are beginning to bloom, I took a big bunch of daffodils from my yard as a hostess present to a dinner party the other night. The Paperwhite Narcissus and Snowdrops are over here, but just 30 miles up the road in Georgia they are in full bloom. Spring marches North. Be of good cheer, Yankees.

I\'m gone, lots of things to do today. Y\'all Take Care.

Hello all! Glad you liked the squirrel. I took that from my dining room window. He just looked so cute there. Snowing today and yesterday, and tomorrow. Went to Lander last night with hubby to watch high school basketball. A car in front of us hydroplaned, and went off. It was scary. The roads were black ice. I drow 40 mph all the way home. Took 45 mins or more to get back. I tell ya, it would be nice if the linear post were brighter, and they had a marquee about the road conditions. Will complain shortly. Well other than that still hibernating. Take care all, and love all the pictures on Cam 5.

Phillis, I hope you get your kitchen fixed. Annette, it is always a good idea to have a back up heat source, can\'t always relie on manmade material. Wood burning stoves are still necessary.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

The kitchen work is at a stand still. The contractor didn\'t show up for work yesterday. I\'m not happy.

So glad you have time to visit with Franka. Sounds as though your school systems are quite tough.

Saw the robin again and noticed the grass is a little green. All of the snow has melted away now. We are due for severe thunderstorms this evening, threats of tornadoes in the air. This is our typical spring weather. The hubby has cleared the cellar in case of tornado so we will have shelter. Nature provides variety here.

Franka is here for some days. There\'s a break for the students for about two weeks and then there are some exams to pass and after that another short break. So I will see her more often in the next few weeks. Robert also had to pass an exam this week. It was the first one of a row of exams that will follow in April and May. He will be ready with school in June and will have the certificate of qualification for university matriculation (same as Franka) but will probably work a year before he goes to university. We will see...

I hope Mr Mies won\'t forget the important day tomorrow while pheasant hunting. Mies wasn\'t here for a long time. I bet she tries to take part in the Winter Olympics.

I\'m gone. Enough space wasted here.

Pat, due to the weather here around the buildings are generally equipped with a central heating based on gas or oil or use heat from a district heating network. Many new built houses use geothermal energy or solar power systems. To heat the house just with electricity would be much too expensive. But, of course, Florida usually has quite other temperatues. I wonder what systems are used with Jane in Alaska.

Phillis, I hope your kitchen work is on a good way and will be ready soon.

Liz, I really have a list of places that I want to visit once. Many people just say they want to see other places but never travel. But, believe me, I WILL DO IT. And there\'s a line on my \'to-visit-list\' that says \'Australia\'. I really want to see your beautiful country but I\'m honest it is not in the first place. It will take another while but it would be fun to meet you there.

By the way... my list says: \'2011/USA\'. So, all American GBers, be warned. hehehehe I could start right away but of course, I have to be considerate of Mr A\'s wishes and he often thwarts my plans. *sigh*
