I was so naive to think all those horror stories about contractors not showing up were simply stories. Unfortunately, I\'m finding out they are true. Still no show on Monday...phone calls, but no work. And we\'re having a fundraising dinner at the hospital on Thursday so I really need a kitchen to cook in. The hubby thinks he can fix it so I can cook, but my point is he shouldn\'t have to. They told us it would be a two day job, which I didn\'t think was true at the time. Boy, what a mess. Oh well, at least I have a roof over my head which is more than some people can say.

Mick, so happy the Mrs is doing well. I have faith in your scullery skills. Hello to everyone else.

Hello Mick, it\'s nice to hear from you and good to know Mrs Mick is well. How nice to see you are the scullery maid now. hehehe

Mies, I think Mr A can\'t go in the gum scraping or cart pushing business. He will be 50 this year but always moans like a 100-years-old. Webbie wouldn\'t take much pleasure in his companionship. So, Caleb can have the job.

Phillis, make the contractor get a move on.

Liz, Mike and the other GBers...

Whatho chaps

Bet you thought I\'d gone to that place on the map that says \"here be dragons.\"

Just been rushing round like a bluebummed fly.

\'Er indoors has been home for a week after her surgery with instructions to take things easy for at least six weeks, which means yours truly has been reduced to the role of scullery maid. Good job I\'m a new man and can cook and clean better than any woman.

Darn doc said she couldn\'t even chop logs or bring in the coal.

We\'ve had a couple of weeks really lousy weather, snow, rain and more snow.

Ground is saturated and I\'m getting pretty fed up opening the curtains in the morning to grey skies.

Really need some sunshine now.

Mies - happy belated birthday hope ya\'ll had a good time.

It\'s just above freezing at 2:50 in the morning here. But Saturday was nice after the rains. The robins are back and survived the brief bit of hail we received. The grass along the roadway is becoming green and I\'m hoping it will dry up a bit so we can put in the vegie garden. We\'re already behind. Pat, I envy you your weather.

Hey Liz, glad you enjoyed your day with the red hatters.

Happy Monday/Tuesday, everyone.

How does Caleb feel about kitchen remodeling? I\'ve gone through the samples one more time and I\'m not pleased with what I picked out previously. I\'m thinking of changing my mind, which will irritate the dog out of the hubby. Who cares about the contractors...who better show up today. One of them stopped by yesterday to discuss the job. Lots of discussing goes on, I\'ve noticed. I\'m tired of eating out. With one exception, I have preferred my cooking to anything we\'ve had. And you might guess that one exception was the steak and shrimp dinner!

Annette, I\'m sure Webbie could take on an apprentice. Mr. Annette might as well get started on the cart pushing, gum scraping business now. WAIT! Caleb needs a job! As long as he has an iPod hooked to his ears he can do almost anything.

Liz, Mr. Mies DID redeem himself by taking me to a nice dinner.

Okay, better go lay my 39 year old bones down to recover from eating too much. Pat, Mar, Liz, Phillis, Webbie thanks again...

Many thanks ya all for the birthday greetings. And the all the bright smilies.

I read everything REALLY fast before Webbie deleted it like Pat\'s valentines.. (Thanks Webbie for the special greeting)...You guys are the bestest ever...You make me feel 39 again...Whoops, I am 39! I meant younger than my 39 years...Let\'s see, that would make me born in 1971. Yup, that\'s close enough, give or take a few years.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MIES!!! Isn\'t it nice to be 39? I hope you\'re having a beautiful day. Perhaps there is a \'handsome Bob\' around when Mr Mies is bird hunting. hehehehe

Webbie, Mr A visited a concert of Mitch Ryder yesterday. Must have been a great show. He\'s 65 but rocked like a 20-year-old. So, why not push a cart when someone is 98... hehehehe Thanks, for the photo on the Cam. It was a very foggy day and we really worried about the right way.

Have a nice start into the new week all.
