Saint Patrick was a gentleman,

and he came from decent people,

In Dublin town he built a church,

and on it put a steeple;

His father was a Gallagher,

his mother was a Brady,

His aunt was an O\'Shaugnessy,

and his uncle was a Grady.

Then success to bold Saint Patrick\'s fist,

He was a saint so clever,

He gave the snakes and toads a twist,

and banished them forever!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK\'S DAY

Hugs to all

Just watched the Parade on RTE, Webbie. It came in pretty good, though the sound and picture broke up badly with Window\'s player. I switched to Real player, and it was somewhat better. Great parade, saw the Lord Mayor of Dubln and her carriage, the eggs were wonderful, the Barcelona giant insects, too. Even when the picture broke up, it was a riot of beautiful color, looked like a modern abstract painting.

I thought I was going to have to miss it, but Lauren\'s birthday party time was changed to this evening instead of Friday, and I rearranged my schedule to go in to the office tomorrow instead of today. Yee-hah, loved the parade! Thank you for the link.

It looks like the streaming video should be available worldwide through RTE Live for the St Patrick\'s Day Parade through Dublin.

Ya\'ll might even catch Fr O\' saying Mass.

Enjoy your day wherever you may be.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK\'S DAY

It\'s a little early here but, like Pat I may not have time tomorrow. We are doing inventory for year end on the 31st. We are already short handed, so now we have 2 people doing what 4 were doing last month. We\'ll get through it. It has to be done by the 30th so I can take the 31st off & go fishing))

Okay, I\'m tired because I thought Mick was talking about getting a dog, and Pat was asking me about the sleep. Yes I need more sleep obviously. Plus I think I am coming down with something, I have a little cough right now.

Hello All! - Liz thanks for the wishes on the test find out in a month. Mick - I love this time, but I am exhausted. I\'m not sure if it is the time change or the fact that the kids are being tested at school. Probably both - since at school we either sit there, or read to certain kids the questions. Needless to say it is boring!

Happy St. Patrick\'s Day!!!

When I Irish eyes are smiling all the world is bright and green. - Okay not sure if that is correct, but the world is a better place on St. Patrick\'s Day.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

oh and goodnight for now!

And... the top of the week and the weekend was Robert\'s concert on Sunday evening. He plays in a wind quintet for some months. There are a bassoon, a horn, an oboe, a flute and Robert\'s clarinet. They took place in a contest that were last Saturday and placed first in their category. The concert of the first prize winners was on Sunday evening and I was there. I took some videos with the camera and will try to send one or two to you. It was just great.

The more pleasant things followed... I visited an exhibition of the Austrian artist Hundertwasser. Once, in Vienna, I saw the original building that he designed and was fascinated by his work. Though, I think some of his creations take some getting used to. Then, I had visitors over the weekend. The \'girls\' were here that were together with me in Malta last October. Of course, we had to chat a lot and talked about our trip and looked at the photos. It is always nice to meet old friends.

Hello everybody, I was absent for some days but I see the GB isn\'t too crowded. I didn\'t read back all pages but it seems most of the GBers are preparing for spring and it is probably around the corner at our place, too. Forecasters say we will get 12-15°C/54-59F over the weekend. That would be like climbing the Mount Everest as we had the last snow and frost just yesterday.

I had an exciting week last week full of different events beside my actual work. It started with a speeding ticket when I had to reach clients at work. I had to change the place and was caught by a speed trap....

Did you get some rest, Steph? I\'m not crazy about Daylight Savings time in the mornings, but I love the long evenings. This is Spring Break week for the schoolkids here. My Erin has decided that she is just the girl to help me find a puppy...she\'s checking out sources and e-mails me at least twice a day to tell me what she\'s found. I want a good Cocker Spaniel, and that is hard to find, they are overbred because they are popular, and there are too many of them around with either timid, nervous dispositions, or that tend to fear-bite, and that won\'t do. She fell in love with a long-haired Dachshund, though and gave it 2 thumbs up. So, we\'ll see.

It\'s a beautiful day here, Spring has truly arrived, though our azaleas and dogwoods are very late this year, just barely beginning to bloom.

I hope you are all having a good day.

Very nice shot on CAM 5, today, Mark Westlake. I googled it and found a great site that described what it was, there were some nice drawings of it there, as it would have been in it\'s day. It is early 9th century, and is a fortified farm, rather than a fort per se, and had 2 houses inside with thatched roofs. All that stone is laid up dry with no mortar, and that is excellent stonework. It\'s done by interconecting the stones so their own weight keeps them from shifting. My Dad once laid up a stone retaining wall that way, and filled in and leveled the soil behind it for a driveway. That was more than 50 years ago, and I saw it when I was in Baltimore last Fall...it is in perfect shape. Laying up drystone like that is almost a lost art.

Hello all! Mr. Mies test went okay. I hope passed it this time. Missed it last time by four points. I don\'t mind since it was during the stressful time with Bruce. I am so beat right now. I think I am going to head for bed. Kids are testing at school for the Standardized test, and it wore me out today, plus the time change. At least I\'m not hibernating anymore. DOWN WITH THE TIME CHANGE - Daylight savings crap. My life is to busy to be fussing with it. Can\'t I have a say in the matter. Well like I said I\'m very tired. Good night all from Good ole\' Wyoming.

Love and Hugs,

Steph
