Hello everybody, I was absent for some days but I see the GB isn\'t too crowded. I didn\'t read back all pages but it seems most of the GBers are preparing for spring and it is probably around the corner at our place, too. Forecasters say we will get 12-15°C/54-59F over the weekend. That would be like climbing the Mount Everest as we had the last snow and frost just yesterday.

I had an exciting week last week full of different events beside my actual work. It started with a speeding ticket when I had to reach clients at work. I had to change the place and was caught by a speed trap....

Did you get some rest, Steph? I\'m not crazy about Daylight Savings time in the mornings, but I love the long evenings. This is Spring Break week for the schoolkids here. My Erin has decided that she is just the girl to help me find a puppy...she\'s checking out sources and e-mails me at least twice a day to tell me what she\'s found. I want a good Cocker Spaniel, and that is hard to find, they are overbred because they are popular, and there are too many of them around with either timid, nervous dispositions, or that tend to fear-bite, and that won\'t do. She fell in love with a long-haired Dachshund, though and gave it 2 thumbs up. So, we\'ll see.

It\'s a beautiful day here, Spring has truly arrived, though our azaleas and dogwoods are very late this year, just barely beginning to bloom.

I hope you are all having a good day.

Very nice shot on CAM 5, today, Mark Westlake. I googled it and found a great site that described what it was, there were some nice drawings of it there, as it would have been in it\'s day. It is early 9th century, and is a fortified farm, rather than a fort per se, and had 2 houses inside with thatched roofs. All that stone is laid up dry with no mortar, and that is excellent stonework. It\'s done by interconecting the stones so their own weight keeps them from shifting. My Dad once laid up a stone retaining wall that way, and filled in and leveled the soil behind it for a driveway. That was more than 50 years ago, and I saw it when I was in Baltimore last Fall...it is in perfect shape. Laying up drystone like that is almost a lost art.

Hello all! Mr. Mies test went okay. I hope passed it this time. Missed it last time by four points. I don\'t mind since it was during the stressful time with Bruce. I am so beat right now. I think I am going to head for bed. Kids are testing at school for the Standardized test, and it wore me out today, plus the time change. At least I\'m not hibernating anymore. DOWN WITH THE TIME CHANGE - Daylight savings crap. My life is to busy to be fussing with it. Can\'t I have a say in the matter. Well like I said I\'m very tired. Good night all from Good ole\' Wyoming.

Love and Hugs,

Ha, a green mohawk on Caleb, that would be worth seeing, Mr. Mies. He\'s a handsome young man, he looks like Mies, to me, and Mies is beautiful.

I\'ve got to go, my Susie is coming over to adjust a hanging pot rack we\'ve just put up in my kitchen, I love it. It hangs from the open beams and holds all the biggest pots and pans that have been cluttering up my cabinets and making me swear every time I try to get something out of there. Gives my kitchen kind of an old-world, Italian or French Provincial look. It\'s great. Everybody should have one if they need more storage space.

Thanks for letting us know who won that contest, Webbie. Little Chloe Coyle is certainly a cutie.

Y\'all be good.

Hey, Micilin. It\'s nice Spring has arrived for you. Phillis and Clarence in Texas are in good shape, too. We all need to push some Spring to Annette and Sean Fada in Germany. I read your newspaper every Friday...I saw the article about the terrible murder.

Enjoyed that latest cleek, Webbie. Crystal Swing seems to be quite the sensation in Ireland, I must say that boy has rubber legs, he\'s really funny to watch. I\'m not too crazy about the content of that song you put up, and they seem to be catching a lot of flak for it, there could have been a better choice for two very young people to sing, but it was certainly very bright and catchy and funny, and it\'s only a song. People shouldn\'t read things into it that aren\'t there, but people do. Mama should be a little more careful in future about what she\'s allowing her kiddies to sing. Otherwise, I think they are very entertaining.

Howdy pardners

Long time no GB.

No reason other than just darn busy what with one thing and another.

Happy to report that after a long cold (by Brit standards) winter, spring seems to finally be here with daytime temperatures creeping up to double figures and loads of glorious sunshine.

Saps rising, crocuses and snowdrops are nodding in the breeze and we\'ve even had a few choice stories to get the juices flowing for a change.

Nothing like murder and sex to sell newspapers.

Local Royal British Legion club is have a St Patrick\'s day bash on Wednesday and I might try and slip along for the craic.

Such incredibly beautiful weather here this weekend. A little chill in the wind, but bright sunlight. Hope it stays this way for a day or two. Work on the kitchen is due to resume...we hope. Spent Saturday with the daughter and grandgirl. Today will bring the whole bunch of us together as it is the beginning of spring break. Here\'s praying your lives are going so well.

Nice picture Of Mammoth Hot Springs on CAM5 today. Thank You Kirsten Kjaer & Webbie.

Mies & I are planning on going there for our fall vacation the end of September. We\'ve visited Yellowstone a few times, but never in the fall. On our last visit it rained or hailed almost every night & there were severe thunderstorms for 3 of the 4 days we were there. On the trip there, at one spot there was over 8\" of hail built up in the middle of the road. What a storm.

Morning Everyone

Partly cloudy here today, but warm. No tulips or tree leafing here yet. But we did have calling in our backyard this morning just before daylight. Did I say calling It sounded more like something in pain, like a Grizzly passing an undigested porcupine, or something.

I have to go get the big trailer today, only 6 weeks until tournament time & I\'ve got a few weeks of work to do on it.

Caleb started school Tuesday & they have already chosen him

to be a model in a hair styling contest. I guess it\'s OK as long as he doesn\'t come home with a green mohawk.

Steph-I hope the test went OK, I hate tests, usually because they involve studying.

Mornin\'...

Holy Mackerel, the sun is shining brightly at the front of O\'Shea\'s this morning. Congratulations, Ireland. I hope St. Patrick\'s Day is as beautiful for you. Webbie, will you tell us again how to watch the parade from here?

Gary D is probably busy with his local parade in NE PA, I think he\'s very involved with that.

Cont.

That\'s a very beautiful pic on CAM 5 today, Dee Langevin. Thanks, and thank you, too, Webbie, for putting it up. A little taste of Spring anywhere is most welcome. I always watch for the two little trees in front of Not To Worry to leaf out on CAM 3, but that usually doesn\'t happen until April.

Steph, I hope you did well in your test. I know the disappointment of not passing a professional test the first time...I misssed one by 2 points once, but I passed it with flying colors the second time. The second time I was better prepared, because I knew what the test was like...I hope that holds true for you as well.

Nice to hear that you have blossoming pear trees, Clarence...do you have them as well, Phillis? Even Steph has a tulip coming up, and she is in Wyoming. I think it was Steph who said that she saw one.

The U.S. changed to Daylight Saving Time overnight...I like it because it gives a longer evening to be outside. My computer changed itself over to the new time, but my watch isn\'t that smart.

Annette, I got that book about womens\' rights in undeveloped countries, if it is good I\'ll mail it to you, and you can practice your English by reading it.

I just watched a DVD about the San Patricios, who are virtually unknown here in the States, and I have two books to read about them, one a novel and one a scholarly history. They are much better known in Ireland and Mexico than here, but their story is very interesting. War was even worse Hell in those days than it is now, it seems. Who said \"War is Hell\", was it General Patton?

I\'m off to start my Sunday. Y\'all Take Care.
