Hello all...

Geez Treasa, I hope Pat didn\'t get zapped by that lamp...Just kidding...I\'m sure she\'s busy. Sometimes there\'s not enough time in the day. Mr. Mies also loves that spider game. He\'s hooked...

Looks like a cool place to stay Mick and Mr. Mies would definitely take you up on the food and drink...

Mar, no worry about forgetting my Birthday,..sniff, sniff, ...I forgive you...You are busy, girl..

Liz, I hope Reghan\'s feeling better. Give her a big hug....

Dermot, looking forward to seeing what your new camera brings us on cam 5...

Off to fix dinner...have a good one ya all....

Had a quick read through the postings. Notice we had no Patricia today. She must be busy...

Mar, good to see you are back to your cheery self, and no computer problems. I owe you mail and photos. Will get round to it shortly.

Annette, I owe you mail also, and photos. I thought for a minute that it was 10 Downing Street we were looking at??

Then I realised we don\'t have a 10 Downing Street in Dublin.

Love the photo though.

Maria Asuncion, I also love Spider Solitaire..... It just takes up hours of your time. Thank goodness there is someone else like me, I thought I was the only one....

I am not familiar with free cell, I must look into it.

Liz, I found when I loose a long post if I hit the back arrow button, more often than not, my post is still there. I know it is so maddening when you loose a lovely long post. Take care Liz.

Well, I thing sleep is catching up with me...

Everyone else, take care, catch you all later.

On Friday when we taking him to kennels, he cried all the way. Now, usually when he gets in the car we turn right out our gate for the beach. To go to kennels we turn left. Well, he jumped in the car and lay down as usual as we drove out the driveway, but then the minute we turned left, he sat up, started to look out the windscreen, and then started to whinge. He kept it up for the whole journey to kennels. He had his snout on \'The Boss\'s\' shoulder and was crying and crying. It was touch and go as to whether we would leave him or not..... But Carol at the kennels is really lovely, and she took him in her arms, and he was licking her as we left.

Hi everyone,

A bit late for me, but sleep evades me again. Had a busy day at work and also yesterday. We have let so many people go, and now the work falls back on the rest of us... The office is virtually deserted...

As the kennels were closed on Sunday, we couldn\'t collect Val until yesterday (Monday).

I was so sad on Sunday evening without him. One time I was in the sitting room, and \'The Boss\' went into the kitchen, and started to say \'down Val\' as if Val was jumping on him. He said it to try to cheer me up, but it had the opposite effect....

Anyway, the greeting I got when I came from work yesterday evening was just THE BEST. He jumped on me, and licked me, and ran around me, and just went totally mad.... It went on for a full 30 mminutes before I could get him to calm down. He is the most clever dog.

Mike Ca, good to know you’re recovered from your cold, I hope your wife will be soon too, you both need to save your energy and stengh for that great trip to Ireland in summer (oh, you’re going to like it so much!)

Annette, wonderful picture in cam-5 today, thanks to you and Webbie for it I know what it feels like when your internet connection goes so slow, it happens here too, too bad

Steph, glad to know your weather is almost spring-like now, enjoy it, girl! And good luck with your school work

Sue, Eamon, Jim, Marie, and everyone else, I hope you\'re ok too

Gary, do you have a new Puppy? I’m sure the girls are so happy with it, I hope your spring will come soon, so that you all, even the puppy, can enjoy it, you must be so tired of the snow!

María Asunción, are you happy about Penelope Cruz winning an Oscar? I hate her so much, at least about the way she acts, I think she’s such a bad actress, I truly think she didn’t deserve it, and this time, ONLY THIS TIME, Woody Allen didn’t deserve any award for “Vicky Christina Barcelona”, this time he couldn’t make a good movie, but a really boring one, so I can’t consider Penelope as “mine” and I don’t care at all about her awards, I don’t like her! I’d love to see pictures of that Aran sweater you knitted, is it possible?

Treasa, glad to know you liked what I sent you, I try to select only the best mails among all the crap I receive daily I told my mom and sisters: “if I learn to knit scarves, you already know what Santa Claus is going to bring you in the next decades, the only surprise will be: what colour is it this year?” I hope you had a great weekend oout, did you celebrate Carnival somehow?

Liz, it must be a plague, some of my friends’ children were also sick this last weekend, and they missed the Carnival parties, poor children… Just like you, I also have to clean the house, my sister and her boyfriend are coming on Friday, and I have no baby here to keep them entertained! Send pictures of Sean, please!!!!!!!!

Pat, as Steph said, good luck with that lamp, don’t get burned by it! You’re right, Saint Patrick’s Day is closer, I hope Webbie or someone else will be able to tell us in which webpage we could see the parade while happening, I want to see it! A purple fruit? Some plums are purple, I remember picking them when I was a child, fallen from the trees in my grandfather’s orchard

Mick, that trip to the Lake District sounds great, if only we could meet at that pub, that Oddfellows Arms is so beautiful…

Dermot, it’s great to see you here again, I truly hope you’ll make a good use of that new camera, I’m looking forward to see your nice pictures again

Webbie, I might take a look at that lady’s videos tomorrow, I have no time now, but you’re right, I don’t have a special interest in Scientology… I ADORE the song “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones, and that Irish song, “The Clifs of Doonen” was sooo nice, and of course, ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS video by Mark Westlake, sooo pretty pictures and music!

Mies, sorry, sorry, sorry I missed your birthday… well, you’ve got a mail, I hope it’ll compensate my lack of memory a little…

Mr.Mies, great to know you had a good weekend travelling, even though the weather was not nice, but, NO CAMERA AT ALL??? Didn’t we, the rest of the GB’ers, teach you anything lately?

I also want to see some other movies in the cinema: Seven Souls with Will Smith; The Reader, with Meryl Streep; Slumdog Millionaire, with the Hindu boy; and next month I want to see the ballet \"Lake of the Swans\" and best of all: THE SPIRIT OF THE DANCE is coming to Barcelona! I\'m looking forward to see this collection of Irish dances alive, I can\'t wait!

Apart from this, I keep trying to knit a scarf on my own, and swimming in the gym, keeping a healthy diet, reading \"Angela\'s Ashes\" (again! I love this novel), ... busy busy busy!

Hi everyone, sorry I\'ve been absent in the last days, I\'ve been busy: I went to the theater, I saw a really funny play about 2 married couples who get together to solve in a mannered way the problem of their children who use to fight in the schoolyard, and even though they\'re all very polite and mannered at the beginning, they get more and more furious as they keep talking... and drinking... and in the end they all finish furious and accusing each other, in a really funny way, haaa...

I also went to the cinema to see \"The Curious Benjamin Button\" and \"Milk\", in the first one the Oscar to the best make-up is totally justified, it\'s amazing! And in the second one my beloved Sean Penn actually deserves the Oscar he won, he\'s so good!

Very important looking door on 5.

Patricia - I think we need a pic of you in your Oscars frock.

What say you chaps.

Have booked my room at the Oddfellows Arms, Caldbeck, for my annual Easter pilgimage to the Lake District and if anyone cares to join me in the bar I will gladly buy them a couple of pints of Sneck Lifter and a plate of Cumberland sausage with home-made chips (fries to our colonial friends).

Hi Everyone. Hope ye are all doing well. Webbie nice pics on Cam 5 lately. Spring must be in the air today. Saw lots of crows starting the nest building today. They seem to be a bit early! Haven\'t been very active in the photo dept lately, however I got a new camera recently and cant wait to get a few nice shots that I can share with all of you. Have a great day. Dermot

Hi all...

Quick note before bed...

Annette, Absolutely gorgeous doors on Cam 5...

Thank you Treasa, Mick and Mike CA for the birthday wishes, very appreciated...

Webbie, I didn\'t recognize the song but it was very nice. Of course, I loved Mark Westlake\'s breathtaking video..Thank You for sharing..

Maria A, funny that you and Mr. Mies are both wild about the card games. That Free Cell game that is suppose to be unwinnable is number 11982. From his numbers he has a long way before reaching that number...

Liz, Don\'t work too hard and Steph good luck with the school work...Pat don\'t get zapped...to all I missed, hello....AND...Goooood Evening Frieeeeeends...(what show was that from?)

Webbie-THANK YOU for posting it.

Liz-Take care cleaning & don\'t strain yourself.

Maria-Penelope Cruz did win an Oscar. I know what you mean about Free Cell & Spider Solitaire. I play both everyday, Free cell I\'ve been playing in order & have played & won 4320 games of the 1,000,000 available. From what I have read there is only 1 game that is not winnable, but I can\'t remember what it is.

Hi everyone. Treasa, it\'s warmer now as you said. The weather in Madrid is rather uncomfortable. Very cold in winter, very hot in the summer. Autumn is the best season here. Patricia, for a moment I thought to ask you to inform me if aour Penelope Cruz\'d finally win an Oscar yesterday. But I dismissed the idea to avoid annoying you with the task. They only give the Awards ceremony live here on a paying channel I don\'t have. I finally watched CNN News.

Hello all! It was a nice warm day here, and it was about 58F with sunny skies. What is winter for us? Anyways, if you need a break come and see me guys, the storms can\'t make it over the mountains this winter. Oh well! Well I\'ve been doing nothing lately, just trying to get back into school work. I can\'t wait until I\'m finished, but I must not think of the end until I begin. So enough of that, Pat be careful with the lamp, don\'t want you to short out Florida now! Off to bed for now.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

P.S. It will be another nice day tomorrow in the 50\'sF!

Hi, Liz. Don\'t work too hard cleaning for your son\'s visit. He and Mrs. Son will be so busy admiring little Sean they won\'t even notice anything else. Have a nice day.

Annette, that is a great picture of the Dublin door on CAM 5. I love the old Georgian doors, they have many of them in London, too, the fanlights are so beautiful, they look so pretty when they are all in a row, and the doors are painted up in different bright colors. That is an architectual delight. Thank you, and thanks to Webbie for putting it up.

I\'m glad things are getting better for you, Nurse Mike CA. A trip to Ireland this summer? How nice. I\'m sure you\'ll have a good time.

I\'m out of here, I have to go re-wire a lamp, I couldn\'t figure out how to change the shade without taking it apart, now I have to put it back together again, damned jerry-rigged thing.

Bye!
