Hi Webbie. Not sure if this is the place to ask. I\'m coming to

Ireland July 10th thru 23rd and want to stay a couple of days in Dublinand then go down to

Wicklow area and stay a couple of days. Then I move on to Athlone and Sligo. Is there a good place to stay in central city in Dublin. I want to visit the north of Dublin also, maybe for a day. Any suggestions? I am single male. Thanks for your help and I love the web site.

Webmaster-Comment: ..... well the Townshouse is very central and not far from where we are and you can wave on cam4......

Thank you, WebMaster, for the information about the shop called \"Not To Worry\", and good luck to the person running it as that is a good upbeat name with its implied nose-thumbing at terrorists. It shows them for the cowards they are, killing innocent people, and is a perversion of their own religion. Neither God nor Allah, and they are probably the same, tells followers to do such things.

Take care. I\'ll look in on your site often, I like it very much.

Hi Wbemaster: I just read your response to my question (regarding the name Downey). Thank you very much for agreeing to look some info up on it when you have time. I sincerely appreciate it. I know you\'re joshing about the millionaires, but to tell you the truth, I\'d feel like I won 10 million if I knew more bout the name in the Dub region. I am glad there are still Down(e)y\'s about in the Dub area. Again, thanks for your response, truthfully, it\'s much appreciated. God Bless & a great Friday to you. My friends in Wicklow are even enthralled with this site. It is the BEST!

Slainte,

Gary

There are 166 Downeys listen in the 01 book - that is the Dublin area and Nil Downy and 1 Downie.

Hullo, WebMaster!

Cam 4 is excellent. I\'m getting quite addicted to it, what fun to see all the activity at that busy corner. I hope O\'Shea\'s is paying you a fee for international exposure.

One question. Whatever does the shop called \"Not To Worry\" on Cam 3 sell? I can think of a thousand things that could be sold in a shop with such an intrigueing name...tell me, I must know!

Thank you for expanding my horizons.

Pat

Webmaster-Comment: Hi Patricia

Thanks for the compliments.

Well O'Sheas...nuff said. They dont really appreciate the free publicity they get...lol

Not To Worry....well that shop is run by a very enterprising young lady from South Africa and it caters for the Afro/Asian population mainly. Foodstuffs etc., which are imported and of course cosmetics and the "wigs" and all that gear which appeals to these people.
Where the name came from....you asked but I dont know but Maureen is a customer of ours so I will get one of our people to try and elicit that for you.
Bye and thanks for taking the time to write....Slainte

......We have now spoken with the lady in question. She opened her shop just after Sept 11....she felt people were fearful and worrying then.......thus her contribution....Not To Worry....

Last note of the weekend, already 4:10 AM your time. Watching 3 lads walking up the street, away from the bollards. Just found out the other day that my great grandmother was Abagail Downy, from Dublin. I was wondering if \"Downy\" is still a common name there or if the name has died out? She has one cousin left, 93, & it was she who filled me in on her maiden name. Thanks 4 any help anyone, or yourself can offer me on this matter. Happy Mondays my dear friend Webmaster! Gary D, in ole\' Scranton, Pa.

Webmaster-Comment: .....the name seems now to be Downey....I will look it up shortly for you. There are plenty of Downeys in Dublin though. I wont be able to pick the millionaires out tho.....eheheheheheheh
