It was a great joy to me in May 1998 to go to Dublin for 3 days with my mother and sister. We had never been before, and my impressions of the place remain with me even now.Standing on O\"Connell st by the bridge, and being amazed that I knew where I was geographically in your city, and seeing the history of your city for 1,000 yrs and more, just left me breathless. My mother passed away in scotland march 10 2002. Many conversations on the phone in the years since we were in Dublin, turned to thhat trip. It took 30 minutes to get from Prestwick to Dublin that day,but it took us nearly an hour to get from the airport to your city. BUT IT WAS WELL WORTH THE TRIP! I will come back one day.

Morning all. Hi Liz, I\'m from Dublin. There was alot of traffic cams round the Dublin area, they are offline now \'cause the image was too clear and the council had a bit of freedom of informationitis so they are now downgrading the image quality then back online they go, interestins to see the result. Lovely morning here we\'re going for a walk should be back by 13:00gmt. See yeas

Gerry, I don\'t know that song, though apparently Liz does. Give me one I know. I know \"Who Threw the Overalls in Mrs. Murphy\'s Chowder?\" and \"If You\'re Irish, Come into the Parlor\". (Watch Out for Webbie. Song Alert!)

Ah, Charlie. One more thing. Don\'t encourage Webbie and Seoirse to talk about ladies toenails. They are on about this subject, and I don\'t even want to expand on that.

Actually, Webbie doesn\'t keep the rest of us straight, he\'s worse than all the rest of us put together.

Good Sunday Morning to you, Liz, though it\'s still Saturday evening for me. How was that cup of tea? Didn\'t get downtown today, things kept happening to stop me from going out the door...so I\'ll have to do it tomorrow, on my Sunday.

Nice to hear from you, Charlie. I\'m not an Irish expat, I\'m American thru & thru, though of Irish descent. There are several Irish expats who turn up on this site pretty regularly, including Liz from Australia, and some from the U.S. and Canada, as well as some other Americans. It\'s a very nice site to drop in to, to see the CAMS and chat a little. WebMaster is missing at the moment, but he usually pops in every day in an unsuccessful effort to keep the rest of us straight. Nice to know you.

Slainte. (A little Gaelic learned from Webbie)

Hi Patrica. We retired here 3 years back. i was teaching and cathy is an accountant. We have 3 grandsons, Dylan, Lee ans the latest is Tadhg. he was born 18/12/04. Sinead, his mom adn Tadhe are both doing fine. ( Sorry) How are you. Have you been out of Ireland long? I now teach photography, mostly digital to expats and tourists but mostly I do nothing, but enjoy the sun and the Portuguese culture. I\'m try to learn the language but I think my brain is too old to pick it up.I keep breaking in to Irish and they look at me like I\'m mad, which may be true! Good to hear from you. Hope you and yours have a brilliant new year. Slan, Charlie

Ok everyone, I want to hear you all sing!!

Dublin can be heaven with Coffee at eleven, and a strool on Stephen\'s Green, Grafton street\'s a wonderland there\'s magic in the air, with diamonds in the Lady\'s eyes and gold dust in her hair.

Now if you don\'t believe me, come and meet me there, in Dublin on a sunny summer\'s morning !!

Good Morning webbie and All...

My goodness, wasn\'t I tired and cranky last night, picking on my poor little old boss just for having a vacation! He\'s really the sweetest man in the world...never a cross or critical word to me in almost 9 years.

I\'m feeling better this morning after a good night\'s sleep. I\'ve checked my e-mail, read my paper on-line, dropped in here to wish you all a good weekend, and now it\'s off to town, to do a little shopping and clean up my boss\'s desk.

We had some rain last night, but it is clearing now, high will be 74F today. This weather is the reason God made Florida.

See ya!

Hi, Guys...

The good news is that tomorrow is Saturday. The bad news is that I never did get my boss\'s desk and conference table cleaned off this week and he\'ll be back Monday, so I\'ll have to go in to the office tomorrow and do it.

I\'ll tell you what my boss is good at...delegating. He\'s called at least once every day from Hawaii, and gives me enough phone calls to make and enough letters to write for him that I\'m busy until the next time he calls! I always have to read all his mail, and read all his e-mail...I know more about that man than he knows about himself! It\'s a lucky thing I\'m fond of him, because I know where all the bodies are buried. That\'s called \"Job Insurance\". Hehehehehe.

I\'ll check in tomorrow, dragging my shackles and chains...

Pat
