Hi, Steph...

I think you are right, artists are sometimes poets, too. They are also usually appreciative of the beauty in other art forms, even if they can\'t sing or dance or whatever, themselves.

Steffi, you are just right as you are. Every age has it\'s special beauty and charm, and can be appreciated for itself...just enjoy your journey through those ages. We spend time wishing to be something else than we are and we forget to savor the blessings that come with each different stage in life.

Webmaster-Comment: ....lots of musicians are also artists....that is a well know fact.........the two seem to go hand in hand......
I bet our Steph is a gorgeous gal....and she has a beautiful bubbly personality.......so say all of us....

Hello everyone, Where is Webbie again. Jeez work and no play makes a dull day. Pat, not much going on here, just saw Liz\'s dilema on hair color, well here\'s my take. In January I colored mine to get rid of the summer blond. So I went with an ash brown color. So it looks natural. Anyways, you guys so impress me, really too. I hope when I mature in age I too can talk with an intelligence. Pat,with artist\'s they are sometimes poets. I do have a poem published. It was for my little sister in her time of need. I will write it down for everyone, but song lyrics I am still thinking of. I do have one I made as a child. Here it goes: \"Beauty songs, Lovers sky, make a song you ever did try.\"

Good Night, Liz. Red it is. That\'s lovely. You know what, Mike Dunn is Mike from California, who was in Dublin at Christmas with his wife and granddaughters, and couldn\'t get to O\'Shea\'s because Dublin shut down for the holiday, but is going back this summer so we can catch him on the CAM then. He usually signs in as just \"Mike\". He and I think we\'re distant cousins, we both have McCalls from the same place at the same time in our family trees.

Everybody have a good day. Hi, Steph, What\'s up?

Hi, Liz, I see you\'re up and at \'em. Hair color...I love red hair, my mother was red-blonde, and my grandgirls are auburn. Some skin tones can take any color of hair, but in general, I think that when we are past a certain age, women look best with a softer shade of the color they had when they were 20. Maybe a few blonde strands in your red would be pretty, I like streaked hair, or just a lighter soft shade of red. A drastic change means a lot of upkeep. Just have fun with it. After all, we can change it if we want.

Have a good day.

Hi Ms Liz....I always kinda liked the poetic lyrics to that old song, although it was never really well-known...Ms Pat and Ms Steph come up with good ideas...

I wonder what has happened to our friend Ms JoAnn ?

If ya decide to do yer hair blond, ya should keep 2 or 3 joogin\' sticks handy, and make room for plenty of flowers...

Yer friends here will be available to give advice and meddle.....hehehehehe.....

Ah, good one, Mr. S, I\'m not familiar with that song, don\'t remember ever having heard it, but it does put a little tear in my eye. I wish I knew the melody, I\'d sing it to myself.

Liz, \"Ah, Maids, when you\'re young never wed an old man....\", well, that one line says volumes, means more than it says in words, doesn\'t it, that\'s what I think poetry is.

OK,the rest of you, find a bit of poetry in some song lyrics for me. We\'ll be the Clan of the InterNet, Webbie will be our Bard, and tell us stories of ancient heroes and sing us songs.

It\'ll keep Webbie from being out stealing hubcaps.

Good Night, Everyone. Good Morning, Liz.

Till I\'m Too Old To Die Young

by

Kevin Welch

John Hadley

Scott Dooley

If life is like a candle bright

Then death must be the wind

You know you can close your window tight

And it still comes blowing in

So I will climb the highest hill

And I\'ll watch the rising sun

And I pray that I won\'t feel the chill

Till I\'m too old to die young

Chorus:

Let me watch my children grow

To see what they become

Lord don\'t let that cold wind blow

Till I\'m too old to die young

I have had some real good friends

I thought would never die

But now all that I got left of them

Are these tear drops in my eyes

So if I could have one wish today

And I know it would be done

I\'d say everyone could stay

Till they\'re too old too die young

Hey, James Rogers in Australia. Thanks for the bit of poetry. We don\'t have enough poetry in modern-day life, the Bards don\'t come around to the castles any more. The nearest thing we have to feed our souls is an occasional song lyric that touches us. That\'s one reason we all love music. It sometimes gives us a line of true poetry. Here\'s my #1 pick,

\"Freedom\'s just another word for nothin left to lose\" from \"Me & Bobby McGee\".

New Quiz, guys. What\'s a lyric line that you think approaches the poetic? Answer at your leisure.

Pat

Webmaster-Comment: ...poetic or rhyme.....or meaning...or onomatopoeia...
Gonna have to study this Quiz.....geez if i cant understand the questions I cant get the answers right.........ok.........consider the words of Simon and Garf.....the Sound of Silence......and then later I will get my contribution together....may be as simple as
"She loves you
yeah yeah yeah"......0k

Sound of Silence

Hello darkness, my old friend,
Iíve come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left itís seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone,
íneath the halo of a street lamp,
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of
A neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.

Fools said I,you do not know
Silence like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Take my arms that I might reach you.
But my words like silent raindrops fell,
And echoed
In the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon God they made.
And the sign flashed out itís warning,
In the words that it was forming.
And the signs said, the words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls.
And whisperíd in the sounds of silence.

Dublin your my day and night,

you nourished me in my early life.

Your the memory that haunts my aging soul.

Your distant voice calls me back to stay.

But i always say wait one more day, and i\'ll return to walk your street\'s again.
