Hello all from a wet Wyoming. Pat, your photo is so magical. I\'ve never seen those trees and plants in real life, and for today I wish I was there!!!

Well going to get the stupid taxes done today. I am sure we will owe like we do every year, which doesn\'t seem possible if you know what I mean. Off for now.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

Helo chaps

Many thanks for all your birthday wishes.

Sorry I didn\'t pop in yesterday, but my brother came to visit and we had a few beers and by the time he went home I was a bit tipsycated.

Mr Mies - Belated birthday wishes to you too,

Had a day off today to make a start on the garden and guess what after a week of unbroken sunshine it\'s tipping it down.

Never mind gave me a chance to get in the greenhouse and plant my tomato seeds, also started some early spuds off in growing bags.

I have a busy week this week, truckie has to go in for an oil change (YES, I\'ll see Bob the Mechanic!) and I have several doctor appointments. My back has been hurting lately, and I have never had that unless I had been standing all day at dog shows or something. Got sent for an X-ray of my spine last week, and the spine is fine (Ha, I just made a poem)so we have to look a little further. I hope it\'s something that I can get a chiropractic adjustment for, or exercise away. I\'ve taken the occassional pain pill for it, and I hate taking pills in general and those in particular, they make me light-headed, and I\'m ditzy enough already.

Anyway, I hope you all have a good week, and Spring comes to all of you who are still cold.

Our whole village street is like that picture in the Spring, with dogwoods in all the front yards and big azaleas underneath and all under big old oaks and magnolias. It is typical of North Florida and South Georgia towns, and you see many dogwoods blooming in the woods as well, they are native. People think of just cities and beach scenes when they hear of Florida, but this landscape is the real Florida, to me.

Annette, the garden is always there waiting for me, you know how that is. I would be out there all the time, if I could.

No, Liz, that isn\'t my house, it is across the street from me, picture taken standing at my mailbox. You CAN see some of my blooming Dogwoods in the foreground at the top left of the pic, though. That house is one of the oldest in the village, about 1856, and housed several wounded Civil War Yankee soldiers who were taken off the train going through the area to hospital in Pensacola after the Battle of Olustee because it was thought they were dying, and they did die in that house and are buried at the edge of the village under some big oak trees, but we don\'t know exactly where.

Mornin\'...

Sounds like a good sport show, Mr. Mies. Anyplace that is near a sausage sandwich with grilled peppers and onions must be wonderful.

Mies, I agree with you, I didn\'t see the first Celtic Woman concert but I have the DVD. I saw the second, and though it was good, I thought it not as good as the first. You saw the third last year, this one will be the fourth, the first for the Grandgirls, and I know they will love it, and though none have been as spectacular as the first, it will be special for me to share it with them.

Yeah the sports shows are over for another year. We always raffle of a complete fishing outfit, with rods, reels, & tackle, about $800.00 worth this year. We raise money for our youth fishing programs, this year about $4,000.00. We get people & businesses who donate a few dollars & we buy tickets with the money & give them to kids. This year 1 of the kids won.

I had my Italian Sausage sandwich for lunch. I know it was good because I had the stains on my new coat to prove it. Lucky it\'s windproof, waterproof & Eldon\'s Special Sauce proof too.

Liz, your daughter will be better from day to day as she is at home now. That gives her mind the kick, you will see.

Mr Mies, it seems you had a nice day yesterday though you were out. But of course you can feel great, now, as you know, you are much younger than Mick. hehehehe

Pat, don\'t overdo with your indoor work. Give the garden a chance...

To all I missed...

Have a nice start into the new week.

Hello again, Mies. I was speeding through this afternoon as I thought Mick would have a look on the GB and I wanted to leave my greetings. But the others were waiting for me for a light evening meal. So I had to hurry...

I hope Mick is having a nice birthday. The weather seems to be not the best and there are storms in the area.

Mar, we had a great evening yesterday. We got to know some things that the other parents told us about school, teachers, marks and those stuff. Robert nearly never tells such things. Some of the other parents have girls that tell much more about school at home. So it\'s a very good opportunity for us to ask the others about important things and having a nice evening at the same time. The meal was great, too. Salad, then steak topped with tomato and melted mozzarella and espresso. Yummy...

Pat, I guess there will be some changes in the Celtic Woman concerts this year. All new show?? I love each concert, but I have to admit that the first one is my favorite and I really don\'t think that I will ever feel different about that. It had all the original girls in it, which has changed now. Well, at least Ray is still there and hasn\'t changed. I think he even is wearing the same sleeveless black shirt from the first show...

Mar, Humongas/humongous (I may have spelled it wrong) means \"super huge Ginormous\" serving of chili cheese fries and onions...YUM!!!..

Annette, you are speeding through again. You are a busy girl...beep, beep ...

Liz, give my best to Martina, glad all went well and she is on the mend...Is the kettle on? I\'m ready for a cup...

Have a good one ya all

Hello all...

Ha ha ha...funny Mom\'s Day cleek..Really enjoyed the new Mark Westlake video, wonderful as always...Thanks Webbie...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MICK! According to Mr. M\'s calculations you are older than him?...( hmmmm, with that kinda math must be why he is always forgetting important dates)

Maria A...there has been a lot of celebrating on the GB lately..We are all fun group, aren\'t we..I am almost positive Mr. Mies will appreciate your birthday greeting no matter when it is given.

Steph, be careful...ice is my worst fear in the winter time too. I had a hard fall some years back which cost me my front tooth. I have a crown there to remind me.

Hello all! Nice day here, and yesterday was nice too! My father came up and visited, my mother is fighting a bug, so she wasn\'t able to come. But we had fun. We went shopping and cooked some fish. He loves fish, but my mother is allergic to it, so he doesn\'t cook it at home.

Well Happy Birthday Mick!!!

And Happy Mother\'s Day to all of Ireland mothers!

Well Mieses we are preparing for the storm that is too hit tonight. Already have a Winter storm warning out. Rain first then snow, which means pure ice in the morning, grrrr! I have my ice melt ready now, I don\'t want to fall down two cement stairs like I did in 2003. If I fall on my bottom again, I will go to the hospital I think.

Liz, great news about Martina. Have her take it easy now.

Well off to study, since I haven\'t been good lately.

Love and Hugs,

Morning all, gray rainy day, but should still be in the 50\'s.

Pat-I met a family yesterday at the show who moved here, in November, from Monticello. By January they were ready to move back. Their 2 girls said they loved winter, they\'ll will get over that in time.

The same with Micilin. Hope you enjoyed your birthday and will celebrate lots of them in your life.

Beautiful weekend here in Madrid. My sons took me to the sierra. Warm and happy ambiance. Lots of people enjoying it. Many of them still skiing in el Puerto de Navacerrada

Every one take care. María

Liz, it is good to hear that Martina is home and doing well...I\'m sure she is glad too. My best to her.

Mieses, Florida State bombed out of that NCAA basketball tournament on the first round this week, caused loud moans and groans around Tallahassee.

Well, no Grandgirl visit today, I saw them yesterday in Thomasville. Beautiful day here, too, but I have some indoor work to do and can\'t go out to play until I get it done. Bummer.

Sean, how are those grandbabies? Can you send some pictures around?

Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Great celebration in Ireland today, I think. I\'ve just read that Ireland has taken the 6 Nations rugby championship for the first time since 1948. Way to go!

Mieses, next Saturday night it\'s Celtic Woman for Richie and the Grandgirls and me... I am really looking forward to it, and the girls are so excited. This will be the first big production they have seen. I missed it last year, I can\'t remember why, and have only seen their 2nd show before, I hope this is as good. I\'ll let you know.
