I saw Elvis in Dublin Town,

it was down by the liffey i heard the sound.

Mean woman blues to a celtic beat, i saw Elvis busking in the street.

I saw Elvis, trying to rock n roll but it\'s hard to move without a soul.

His heartbreak hotel brought tears to my eyes, i saw Elvis through his disguise.

James, G\'day Liz, Patrica JoAnn and all.

It doesn\'t matter how long we may have been stuck in a sense of our limitations,

If we go into a darkened room and turn on the light,

it doesn\'t matter if the room has been dark for a day, or a week, or ten thousand years--

we turn on the light and it is illumined. Once we contact our capacity for love and happiness...the light has been turned on.

Seoirse, thats are really good. Im only 22 & thats the way i c life, just have a laugh. I wont cop on til im in my 40\'s r so...

The poem is a bit depressing though, as if he is writing it on his death bed. You never know how precious something is until its almost gone.

Okay, lets change that subject!

Yesterday When I Was Young

Charles Aznavour

Yesterday when I was young

The taste of life was sweet as rain upon my tongue

I teased at life as if it were a foolish game

The way the evening breeze may tease a candle flame

The thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I planned

I always built, alas, on weak and shifting sand

I lived by night and shunned the naked light of day

And only now I see how the years ran away

Yesterday when I was young

So many drinking songs were waiting to be sung

So many wayward pleasures lay in store for me

And so much pain my dazzled eyes refused to see

I ran so fast that time and youth at last ran out

I never stopped to think what life was all about

And every conversation I can now recall

Concerned itself with me, and nothing else at all

Yesterday the moon was blue

And every crazy day brought something new to do

I used my magic age as if it were a wand

And never saw the waste and emptiness beyond

The game of love I played with arrogance and pride

And every flame I lit too quickly, quickly died

The friends I made all seemed somehow to drift away

And only I am left on stage to end the play

There are so many songs in me that won\'t be sung

I feel the bitter taste of tears upon my tongue

The time has come for me to pay for yesterday when I was young

Hello Pat! Are you suffering a little insomnia, too? I can\'t sleep.

AAAhhhhh the mudding. We have had 4 people come in and only one gave us an estimate. It seems like nobody needs work. *shrugs*

We had the floor leveled out with concrete so there is no step down into the addition.

My husband is starting to call more people in for estimates for the drywall. It never, ever ever ever ends. How soon can you and Sieorse get here to end my misery?

Hello James!

Liz, I\'d love a postcard!

G\'day Liz 7:00pm your time is 5:00pm my time, 9:00pm your time is 7:00pm my time and 11:00am Dublin hahaha.

Mate, when i said this site, i meant this site, ok. ha ha.

On my last trip to Dublin!

I strolled around Dublin, with my Singapore shorts on,

I went down to the boozer had a jar and sang a song.

I even took a moth, up to the furry glen, were she judged me a good sportsman, and gave me a score of ten. ha ha ha.

On your bike Liz.

Hi, JoAnn! How are you, girlfriend? How\'s the mudding going? We can\'t rouse Gerry, Liz thinks he\'s frozen stiff in his igloo, and we won\'t hear from him until the big thaw next July. Bad news.

Yes, the romances are moving pretty fast, those Irish are holy terrors.

Good Morning, Liz!

Checking in to say hello. I need some time to catch up. Are we still going on a trip?

My parade gown is just about done. Just a few more stiches. I\'ll also volenteer to sow earflaps on all our tieras.

We are gearing up for another snow storm here.....it\'s getting old.

Hope all is well.
