Hello chaps

Balmy sort of day here.

Birds are singing, daffodils are tossing their golden heads in the spring breeze and I\'ve got beef stew and dumplings for tea.

Don\'t like roses - I only have to be within six feet of a rose bush and it will reach out and grab me.

Can\'t watch wedding vids - they bring me out in a rash.

Mar me beauty, ignore me I\'m just a sad ol\' geezer with the mind of a 20-year-old.

Treasa - Nice to have you back.

How\'s that Val?

Been watching a series of TV programmes about Yellowstone National Park - stunning.

Hellooooo, Hellooooo everybody. I\'m back again.

Geez, I\'ve made more combacks than..... I don\'t know who.

Anyway I\'m back for good. Work is complete, and everything is back in place.

I had just gotten up to speed the last time when the builders arrived to take down the chimney (housing all the receivers, antenna, etc), so I was out in the wilderness again.

I know I missed Mr. Mies and Micilin\'s birthdays...

So guys, a very happy belated birthday to you both, and I\'m sending big kisses to you both.

Hopefully, this evening, I will go back through the pages and see what else has been going on.

Off to work now, so catch you all later.

Take care.

Treasa

Ha, I have just discovered a wonderful website. I googled up \"Koldinghus castle Denmark\" and went to the Wikipedia article about it, that gives you it\'s history, very interesting, but at the bottom you can click on \"Koldinghus Museum\", which is all in Danish and I can\'t understand a word, but very shortly a man walks out and begins to speak to you in Danish, too, very realistic, and I still didn\'t understand a word, but he may have said \"Welcome\" at the beginning, and that was very nice. You, too, can enjoy a short trip to a foreign country if you want to, unless you are Danish, then you would be at home, and it probably wouldn\'t be too exciting for you.

Bye!

Mar, unless you want to work your fingers to the bone, don\'t wish for trees that drop leaves and a house with a yard and flowers to take care of, there is always something to do and you never get it all done anyway.

Liz, no, it\'s not a tooth cap, they\'ve got to drill all the way down to the root canal through a crown to get to the bad place, and I only have the crown because my own dentist didn\'t like the silver filling that another dentist put on there when I broke a tooth when I was out of town. Sometimes I think it\'s better to not have things like that done, but I like my teeth, and I intend to take them with me when I go. Except I do like those nice Bugs Bunny front teeth, and I\'d be willing to have those put in, but my dentist won\'t take out perfectly good teeth to do that. That\'s just the way those dentists are.

I\'m out of here to read for a while. Y\'all be good.

I\'m late getting my tomatoes planted, I\'ll never win the $64 tomato race this year. However, my Chicasaw Plum twig is doing fine, all leafed out and everything. Maybe next year I\'ll have a blossom or two.

I\'ve got a $100 gift certificate that my boss gave me from the Native Plant Nursery here, and it is burning a hole in my pocket. I\'m like a kid, I have spent it in my mind 10 times, and can\'t decide what I really want. I have a spot in he middle of my back yard where I want a rose garden, it\'s the only place that gets enough sun for them, but the soil isn\'t prepared for that yet and there is no use planting roses in Florida unless you do it right and it takes 6 months to a year to amend the soil and let it settle for roses.

Mr. Mies, I didn\'t know either that Fargo was that far from you. I guess I forgot as Micilin did that those are the wide open spaces out there. I hear now that the Red River has crested a foot or two lower than feared, and if the sandbagging and the levees hold for another week or so, the damage won\'t be too bad.

I suppose both you Mieses are hoping for a slow snow melt on the mountains this Spring after so much snow in the winter. Better to have it warm up gradually than to have flooding, I would think.

I couldn\'t see the wedding videos, either, Webbie. RTE does that, some things you can view anywhere in the world, some things are restricted to Ireland. I don\'t even get the unrestricted ones well, they break up and get garbled. They need a better system.

By the way, where is Cormac McConnell? His usual weekly column hasn\'t been in the Irish Emigrant since December, and I miss reading it. He\'s a good writer.

Is it really true that there is a private fund for raising the Asgard II? Is it a reliable group that is setting it up? I\'d contribute a little something for that, I loved that ship. I still want a model of it for my mantel, but the only ones I can find on the net are too big (and too expensive) but I continue to look. Can\'t be more than about 12\" long, and I\'d go maybe a little more than $100 American for it, if anyone knows where I could order that, tell me.

Well, if it was alcoholic week, why didn\'t somebody tell me? I\'d have made a run at it.

Nice castle on CAM 5, Kirsten Kjaer. Now I\'ll have to see if I can google up some info on it.

Hello, Zardoz. Are you swimming or aboard ship these days? I had some Guinness not long ago here which wasn\'t bad, could have been draft, it had a head on it. I\'ve bought it bottled here in the States, and it was not good.

Webbie, too bad, I can’t see the wedding videos, after downloading the Real Player program, it told me that this video is to be seen only in Ireland… how do they know I’m not there? As somebody says here very often… bummer!

Zardoz, you were in a Guinness sampling tour and I was trying the Catalan champaigne, are we in “Alcoholic Week”?

Mr.Mies, too bad about your weather, I know it’s not the same, but maybe it makes you feel better to know that it’s raining all the time here… I’m somehow solidary with you…

Liz, did you already start to work on my knee and I didn’t notice it? I feel it a bit better today, I went back to the pool to swim (MICK, WITH A NEAT NOT-SEXY BATHSUIT, NOT NUDE, LIZ’S RIGHT, YOU’LL GO BLIND! ), and even though it was a bit hard to move the knee while swimming, I feel it better now… Thank you, Liz!!!

Pat, I still have to wait for a whole month until I see all those Dutch tulips, but I promise you I’ll be sending pictures around I hope your time at the dentist was not too bad I’ll send the pictures of the Catalan meal, but I’m not sure whether I’ll be sending “cava”, too delicious too share, he, heee…

Liz, Pat, Mieses, Mick, I’ll send the pictures of the catalan meal tomorrow, if I can, I think I will

Mick, I don’t know what “ticketyboo” means, but… NOT EVEN IN YOUR WILDEST NOR SWEETEST DREAMS YOU’LL SEE ME TOPLESS!!! HAAAA, HAAAAAA… Still, we could be both resting together in the marvellous deck in cam-5… completely dressed up, of course!

Mick-Nope, We\'re not close to the Red River. It\'s about 1500 miles east of us. I have pictures of a Bed & Breakfast that some friends stayed in on Feb. 11th & the water & ice were right up to the deck. They were afraid it would wash away, but it didn\'t. It floods like this everytime there is lots of snow & very cold weather.

Mar-Send us the pictures also.

Hello chaps

Mar - A pic of you topless on the beach eating roasted onions would be just ticketyboo.

Mieses - Didn\'t realise you lived near the Red River - you take care y\'all.

Weather\'s pretty calm here at the moment after a windy weekend with sunshine forcast for later in the week.
