Yo Mr Mies

Guess I misread Patricia\'s posting and I forget sometimes how vast America and some other countries are compared to the UK.

Mick-Nope, We\'re not close to the Red River. It\'s about 1500 miles east of us. I have pictures of a Bed & Breakfast that some friends stayed in on Feb. 11th & the water & ice were right up to the deck. They were afraid it would wash away, but it didn\'t. It floods like this everytime there is lots of snow & very cold weather.

Mar-Send us the pictures also.

Hello chaps

Mar - A pic of you topless on the beach eating roasted onions would be just ticketyboo.

Mieses - Didn\'t realise you lived near the Red River - you take care y\'all.

Weather\'s pretty calm here at the moment after a windy weekend with sunshine forcast for later in the week.

Mar, I just read back and it was you offering to send some pics of the Catalan roasted onion feast. As always, to everybody, send me pics when you can. I love pics, it\'s like having a mini-vacation to look at scenes from around the world.

Errrrr, Mar? Can you send some champagne if you have any left over from the visit to the champagne factory? I\'d like that too. Hehehehehe.

Bye!

Mornin\'...

Nice shot of Vero, and Webbie\'s favorite bird on CAM 5 today, Dee Langevin. I\'ve always liked Vero Beach, it is the most pleasant town on the Atlantic Coast, I think.

Jeez, Mieses. More snow, and you\'ve broken the record. With the Fargo flooding on the Red River, you guys in the NorthWest have the bad weather problems at the moment. Steph seems a little better off, she says her tulips are breaking ground. Hang in there.

Cont.

It is in the 60\'s F here right now, sunny, and we\'ll barely reach low 70s today. However, I\'m not complaining.

Hey, Mar, how are you, Chickie? I hope the knee is better by the time you go to see the tulips in Holland. Send pictures, please. Somebody else was offering pictures, I\'d like some please. I like all photos.

Liz, you are moving into your winter there, but I think your winters are like mine here, not too bad. I will be perfectly happy never seeing snow or ice again, except in pictures.

Gawd, I have to go to the dentist today, just for a consultation about a crown I\'ve got that\'s acting up, but I hate going to the dentist. Bummer.

Gotta go. Take Care.

Annette, I hope you’ll get rested after the last time change last night, this is the change I love, the one that takes you to the spring and summer, and also to the longer days, great! I hate bats almost more than any other thing in the world, but this one in cam-5 is nice, good picture Oooh, nooo, don’t even mention the German sausages, you’ll make me starve, they’re ALL so delicious!!!

Treasa, Seán, Dermot, Eamon, Sue, Marie, where are you lately? I really miss you here...

Well, I\'m off to bed now. I hope you all will have a perfect spring week (a perfect autumm week for you, Liz), we\'ll talk soon again, I hope. Take care and have all the fun you can!

Mies, I hope you had a great weekend too, will you finally make a bat like the one in cam-5 today? The Chili Cheese Fries sound great, and more if you put them in a nice poem, though in a huge plate they’d be better, I’m sure

Mr.Mies, wow, you ARE a busy man, you won’t get bored with all these tasks… I almost can\'t believe that Mies has more tasks than you...

Steph, massages can leave you a bit sore in the first moment, but the effect is so relaxing and great a bit later No hammocks here, but if you want we have a peaceful Mediterranean Sea, if you want to come and relax under the spring sun… if it stops raining, of course! And you could also rent a real bike and ride it along the beach

Liz, I’m sure you still keep every part of your body as when you were a sweet teenager, right? We can all see that in your pictures Is Sean already 4 months old??? If it feels as if he was born yesterday!!! Wow, he must be so cute and funny now, send new pictures soon, please! ;l) Great to know Martina is doing well, send her my best wishes, please

Mick, I didn’t have the chance to enjoy a sunbath in the beach this weekend, but I did it on Friday afternoon and I thought of you, so you were there somehow I’m sure you’d also have enjoyed the roasted onions I ate yesterday, grabbing and peeling them with my own hands, pre-historic style Though of course I also prefer sausages to onions, of course!

Pat, how I’d love to have a house with trees and grass where I\'d have to rake the leaves and to clean the deck full of flowers and pollen, you live in such a nice place But you’re right about the allergies, my sister is having a bad start of the spring with the pollen floating around, too bad And how I’d love the Celtic Woman show to come to Barcelona, to see them at least once Does this Springtime Tallahassee parade go near your house? Did you attend it?

Gary, you’re right, the spring is weird this year, it’s started too cool and even too snowy in some areas, here we say: “a year with snow, a year with good things”, I hope it’ll be true

Webbie, I love everything about the movie “Ryan’s daughter”, one of the best movies I’ve ever seen And this little blind girl is soooo admirable! And Connie Talbot too, I hope she’ll make a successful career and she won’t be spoiled and destroyed by fame and money when she becomes a teenager, it happens too often, too sad Wasn’t it nice that picture Jim sent us with the old Talbot Street? Will you print it and frame it in your office?

Jim, it was such a nice picture of Talbot Street so many years ago, but I\'ll have too look at it again, i didn\'t manage to see Webbie there

So I had a great weekend: on Friday, before going to the doctor, I had a nice couple of hours in the beach under the sun, it was so nice there. Then on Saturday I went with her, her brothers and her cousin to visit a cava factory (\"cava\" is the catalan/spanish equivalent to champaigne), it was great except for the rain and the headache I had all morning, and the cava we were offered didn\'t help... but I could stand it, and we also had a tasty typical catalan meal, based on roasted small onions (you have to eat them with your hands, which finish completely black from grabbing the roasted onions), and they give you a \"neck napkin\", like a baby\'s one, so that you don\'t spoil you clothes, it was my first time and I had a lot of fun, and the onions were delicious. I have some pictures of me eating them, so that you understand how it goes, tell me if you want to see them

Hello again, friends, I hope you\'ve had a great weekend, I have. For those of you who have shown some interest in the state of my bad knee, thank you very much for it, and I must tell you that it\'s a bit better today, the doctor said on Friday there was no need for any shot in it by now, grrrreeeeaaattt!!!!, on Tuesday 7th he\'ll decide if I have more than enough with the medicines he prescribed me for the next two years, I hope so, because on Thursday 9th I travel to my hometown León to stay there for 4 days and a half, and then on the 29th I travel to Holland, and I really need my knee in a perfect state to have all the fun I plan to have! I\'m positive about it, I truly think I\'ll be ok, so thank you very much for your interest, and I also hope you\'re all in a perfect state of health

Hah, Mr Mies, such a short \'to-do-list\'? It\'s a piece of cake for each proper woman. Enjoy the race...

My friends are gone and I\'m pretty tired. We were out to see some nice places and had to chat a lot, of course. So, it was late when we went to bed and beside that we had our time change last night. I\'ll need some time to get used to it. I have problems after each change. That\'s why I\'m gone. Will read the other posts tomorrow.

Pat-Same for us, the first concert was the best. The rest were great, but just seemed to be missing something. No pollen here yet, just a couple of inches of new snow. Will this winter never end We are closing in on the record for snow in winter, \'08/09 was 4th before the last 2 storms & only 4\' away from the record. I think it ranks second now.

Annette-Loved the bat on CAM5, Mies wants me to make one for our gazebo. Slim chance, I\'ve got to get the tournament trailer ready, install a new color depth finder in my boat, wash my truck (if the weather changes), & build a new storage shed first. Oh & replace a fitting that froze & broke on our outside water pipes last winter. None of this today though, I will be watching the NASCAR race.

Annette, really cool and imaginative bat on CAM 5. Thank you for sharing that.

I\'m going to stay home and have a quiet day today, it has been a busy week. Ive got oak leaves that need raking up all over the grass and the deck is a foot deep in them. Strangely enough, this is the time of year that the Live Oaks drop their leaves and also their flowers, which is not really a flower, but a little sprig of twigs just full of yellow pollen which gets all over everything and causes many people to sneeze. It doesn\'t bother me, but my son\'s allergies kick in when the oak pollen is in the air.

So, another cup of coffee for me and I\'m out into the great outdoors.

Y\'all have a good day!

Mornin\'...

Lovely sunny day here this morning, luckily our stormy weather dried up before the Celtic Woman concert last night.

Mieses, my review of the concert...worth seeing, but a little less traditional Irish music than before, though they did repeat several favorite numbers. Mairead, Lisa and Chloe and two new girls, Alex and Lynn who were nice but so alike that they kind of blended into one, not as distinctive either in personality or voice or looks as Maeve and Orla...I missed M & O.

The fiddler was as enjoyable as ever, did Shenandoah again, and the Bob the Mechanic look-alike drummer was great.
