Big evening today. One of our older members of staff is retiring.... So we have a special dinner tonight for her. Another member of staff due to retire in September is on sick leave at the moment and will not be back to work, so he is retired as such also.

The lady retiring today is a lovely lady, and one of the funniest people I have had the pleasure of working with.

The gentleman in question has worked with the Company for 45 years..... One gentleman who retired a couple of years ago had been with the Company for 49 years and 5 months.

We are now going to carry the heavy burden of toxic loans given by the banks (like handing candy to children), while the developers who swanned the loans, and lived the HIGH LIFE, get away scott free. It makes my blood boil...... so I am going to drop it for now.

Liz, that\'s great news... first tooth, life is great..

I hurt a lot this morning.. in my purse that is... We just had a major EXTRA budget here, and they have imposed levies left right and centre. We will all be taking home less pay, and less pay, and less pay, while the FAT CATS (please forgive me Ms Cat and Pepe, no offence meant to you both), are getting away scott free.

Morning everyone,

What a dreadful night, howling winds, and driving rain, felt like January again.

Lovely morning though, nice sunshine, and blue sky... thank goodness.

Nice bird picture on Cam5 Mr. Mies, any time I go to photo something sitting still... it always moves... very good picture.

Patricia you will have to put your foot down with a firm hand and let Ms Cat know who is boss.... I tried it with Val, but it didn\'t work..hehehe. I think you will just have to buy a bigger bed.. or maybe just buy a bed for Ms Cat herself.

Hi Mar, glad you enjoyed the fine weather while it lasted.

Maybe Pepe needs own bed too...

Webbie-Thanks for posting the \"Morning Visitor\" on the POD.

Mies started yelling at me Saturday morning, \"Come in here quick\" I ran to the kitchen & could hear him calling to his flock. He just walked down the fence calling & flew into a neighbors yard. We have heard them now every morning since.

Pat, could you feed Ms Cat outside with something that she likes? Perhaps, you can train her to stay outside. Or you must put up an own bed for her... hehehehe

Mar, beautiful weather here since last Friday. Very warm and sunny and it feels like summer. Flowers and plants are growing and I can\'t keep up with all the garden work. Have a nice trip to Leon and a nice time there.

Good morning, Liz. Have a warm and sunny day.

I had an exhausting day and the only thing I want to do now is sleep... I already hear my bed calling... hehehehe See you tomorrow.

Good evening, GBers.

Yes, Treasa, there\'s really a difference in traffic when schools are closed. As you thought here are holidays, too and I don\'t need much time to work now. Roads are empty and it\'s a pleasant driving.

I tried to imagine Val\'s yellow paws on the yard. That must be a pretty sight. Treasa, you have a designer for free. I wouldn\'t wash it away.

Mick, that\'s a pretty nice cat that you have there. I googled \'Tonkinese\' as I couldn\'t do anything with it. Very nice pictures.

I hope all the kitties are well soon...

...and Stephanie, I\'ll keep my fingers crossed for your hubby. He will be okay.

Gary, Sue, Dermot, Jim, Marie, Eamon, I hope you\'re all ok and enjoying a nice warm spring weather, not like me right now, it doesn\'t stop raining!

Well, off to have some light dinner (the medicines I\'m taking for the knee make me feel a bit heavier, I hope they won\'t make me grow fatter!) and then to bed. I hope you all will have a great Easter time, will you be on holiday for at least some days? We\'ll talk again soon. Take care and have all the fun you can!

Steph, I’m sorry about your hubby illness, but many people with diabetes seems to live a long happy life, I hope he’ll manage well and will feel perfect soon, send him my best wishes Pepe’s vets (2 women) are also afraid of him too, they hardly touch him, even more, I have to place him myself in the balance, they don’t dare to grab him to weigh him! I hope your cat will feel better soon too

Annette, how\'s your weather there? Does it feel like real spring? Are your flowers and plants growing up fast? I hope the answer to all the questions is \"yes\" and \"ok\"?

Sean, your grandchildren are sooo lovely, I promise you I\'ll answer your mail with pictures quite soon, give those babies loads of kisses from me!

Treasa, they’re right, your yard full of yellow painted paws must be so nice and funny, try to leave it like this, and send pictures! And Val is so funny!!! Send pictures of him too, please! I’m glad to know your brother is better now, I hope he’s NOT secretly smoking!

Pat, if you find sleeping with a small cat disturbing, imagine how it is to sleep with a huge one, such as my Pepe, since the very first day he arrived home, he actually takes half the bed, he’s lucky I hardly move while sleeping… The good thing is that he keeps my feet warm… The bad thing is when he wakes me up so early in the weekends because he’s starving! You should give up about your cat and get used to her, she’ll never give up doing what she wants at anytime No frogs for me, thank you…

Liz, congratulations on your new grandchild (or maybe twin grandchildren!!! ), you must all be so happy about it, even Reghan and Sean, he, heee!!! By the way, I’m looking forward to see pictures of Reghan and Sean again, send them when you can, please

Mike Ca, good luck with all your tasks for the following days, I hope you’ll keep having a good weather too

Apart from this, everything\'s ok here: I\'ve seen a couple of great movies in the cinema (\"The Reader\", and specially \"Grad Torino\", Clint Eastwood is such a wise master), and I visited the zoo with my friends, her two little girls and their little cousins, we had a lot of fun there too. My knee is a bit better, but today the doctor told me to try a new medicine for the coming 9 days, if it works I\'ll get rid of some kind of small surgery on my knee, but if it doesn\'t work... Well, we\'ll wait and see...

Mr.Mies, great to know you have a spring weather, send some here, please!!! (amazing that I am asking you for it, and not the opposite way…) Where do you keep Mies? Is she punished for being a bad girl and she can\'t use the computer? Now seriously, I hope she\'s ok, just busy...

Hello everyone, I\'ve been busy lately here enjoying the nice sunny weather laying (fully dressed up) in one of those beach benches, and how good I did it, because the weather is awful today: cold, too windy and raining cats and dogs, the POD in cam-5 today could have been taken here too! I hope it\'ll get much better and warmer soon, because on Thursday I\'ll go to León, and I\'ll stay there for 4 whole funny days, and I need a great weather there! Do you remember the pictures I sent last year of the Easter parades, with the ancient sculpture of Christ, the apostles, the suffering Virgin Mary, etc...? They look much better under the sun, but could be destroyed under the rain, so I need sun!!!!

Mornin\'...

Ah, Steph, my Dear, don\'t worry. Hubby will be alright, he has you to make sure he does exactly what the doctor says.

Treasa, it sounds like Val had a very good decorating session, yellow paw-prints on the patio sound very artistic and original, to me. How can the Boss not love the effect?

Hehehehehe.

I hope all sick kitties are better soon. There is nothing more pitiful than a sick cat. My Ms. Cat isn\'t sick, but she is walking on thin ice, lately. Since I put a TV in my bedroom, she thinks it is necessary to keep me company while I watch it from bed before I go to sleep, and then settles in for the night. I can\'t believe one small cat can take up more than half the bed, I\'m losing sleep!

Continued...

Cont.

She\'s a very willful cat, never cared to sleep in my bed except very occasionally in cold weather would come and sleep on my feet for a while, or jump on the bed and bounce around there to wake me up if she wanted to go out. She decides where she wants to be, and thinks that I am only there to open doors, etc., but I can\'t deal with this much longer. I\'d fling her out in the hall and close the door, but she would only sit out there and howl and swear, and scratch the door. I\'ve got a very difficult situation, here, and I\'m trying to think of what to do, and losing too much sleep.

Ah, well, I\'ve things to do today, and I\'m off to do them. Y\'all Take Care, but if you know what to do about a tyrant cat, tell me.

Thanks, Treasa and Mick. Husband is doing better. The cat isn\'t feeling well today. He is sore. Well he had blood taken a shot, and the darn thermometer up you know where. He is a good strong cat, but when he hurts he hurts. He\'s been limping around with one of his paws. Maybe he is taking too far. But the ladies at the vet were afraid of him. Of course he did eat all of his soft food I gave him. Even I was afraid of him!

Well off to run errands work on school work, and enjoy this nice spring day.

Mick I hope your kitty is okay.

Good morning America!

Love and Hugs,

Steph

Hello chaps.

Breezy but sunny here.

Terrible news from Italy - hear the death toll is above 200 now.

Stephanie - Cat trouble at King Towers too.

Mia the Tonkinese has had the squitters for about a week and

the vet bill has already topped £90.

Hopefully it will have cleared up before I head for the hills on Thursday.

Stephanie, sorry to hear about your husbands diagnosis.

It is hard to come to terms with any long term illness, but hopefully, it can be controlled with drugs.

Mike in Ca, yes I think schools all over the world are on holidays these two weeks. There is such a difference in traffic when schools are closed. The roads (around here anyway), are almost empty.

Anyway, got to go now... out into the traffic.

Take care everyone, catch you all later.

Anyway, by the second or third day he was used to them, and they were used to him, so they let him have the run of the house, and once he was not annoying them it didn\'t matter.... so I had to throw out all the cushions from the sofas, he chewed through every one of them, pulling out the stuffing, and making a huge mess. Thank goodness he didn\'t chew the sofas...

Got a lovely surprise in my mail with the beautiful twins. Sean they are so perfect, and adoreable, I\'m sure your heart is no longer your own.... Take good care of them. God Bless them.

He really annoyed the builders too... The minute they arrived in the yard, of course he thought that they had come to spend the day playing with him... He ran around with his toy rabbit in his mouth, dropping it in front of them, and then grabbing it and running away, hoping they would follow him. When that didn\'t work, he tried jumping on them, pulling their clothes, trying to pull the buckets etc. from them. One day I got home early and couldn\'t find him.... \'till I heard the whinging from the back lawn, where he was with the gate locked - from the outside - which I\'m sure he didn\'t do himself.....
