Marie...are you still up or have you snuck off to bed already?

I\'m awful at making decisions so I\'ll leave it up to someone else to suggest a book.

Here\'s my idea...we wait about a month because from what I am reading, some of us have just started reading a book so that month will give us all time to finish the book we have started. We will choose a book to read in advance so that gives us all time to get our hands on it, then we set a date to begin and a date to end.

What do you think?

Sally

Hello Elizabeth and Patricia.Oh that book sounds very interesting,Patricia.I like books set in the 60\'s since those were my teenage years.I can relate to the time real well. Oh Liz you must read something,a newsPaper maybe? she is something isn\'t she?So set in her ways.

Sally, that book is by a Frank Delaney, a novel about a boy in 1960\'s Ireland, his tale interwoven with a tale of an iterant \"StoryTeller\", which they used to have in Ireland. When the StoryTeller or sometimes someone else tells a tale about events and people in Irish history, then you get to hear the story, too. What I like about the stories are that they aren\'t told as far-away dry fact history, but presented as stories of the people who lived it. Also, writer doesn\'t mind de-bunking a lot of historic hero-worship. Not a racy, torrid book, but a good story. If I want to read a lurid novel, there are plenty around, which you don\'t remember 5 minutes after you put them down. Best read in small pieces, too much at a time is tiring.

Ellen, I think a book reading group would be fun. I\'m up for it! Almost anybody ought to be able to read a book in a month.

Lets list out suggestions for what we might read.

Pat

Good idea Steph. We could form an online book club and chat about the book we read afterwards!

The only problem is that some of us are fast readers and some are slow readers.

I love the idea though.Does anyone know how we can do it without having to wait for everyone to finish reading it? Maybe we could set a date to finish the book by. Some of us will make that date I\'m sure.

By the way, if books are expensive where you live, try the public Library.

Okay I bought a car, and it was about $6,000. in American, and I don\'t even make 20,000. So why would a \"kid\" need a $50,000. car? Please we need to stop needing. I think of all the things I have, and think I need more. I don\'t need anything. So many people in the world are happy, and they don\'t have much. Personally this kid needs to be sent somewhere, where life isn\'t full or riches, but full of gratitude for the air they breath, the water, the food, and for shelter. I ashamed of what I have. I have no need for it all. But what do you do. Didn\'t mean to sound so harsh. I just ate lunch, and stomach isn\'t feeling well the last two days. I hope I\'m not getting sick.

I came across this:

Did you see the one about the High School kid with the 2002 BMW M3? ($50,000 car) The story broke yesterday. He wasn\'t happy with it and arranged to have it stolen so he could collect the insurance money. The police found four boys stripping it for parts and they implicated the teenager. When

police arrested the teen, they got out of him that he actually wanted a Bently (don\'t remember the model.) a $170,000 car. Apparently, the kid\'s been watching too much MTV as this car is featured in a number of hip hop video\'s.
