Hey, Micilin...why no parties in the pubs? I thought St. George and the Dragon were patron saints of England, don\'t y\'all celebrate their day?

I had an elderly uncle and auntie, he named George and very mild mannered, and she a Doris and a terror, so of course, they were called \"Uncle St. George and the Dragon\". Just our way of paying respect to English tradition.

Nice cleeks, Webbie. Very Irish. Treasa, thank you for reminding him about the cleeks. I am afraid he is getting very forgetful which could be expected at the age of 98, but never mind, we\'ll help him along.

Liz, any thing new about our Reghan\'s health? We don\'t want that sweetie to be under the weather.

I\'m off to town to rip through the big grocery supermarket, got my list ready and everything. See Ya!

Whatho chaps

Spiffing weather here too don\'t you know.

Lots of pics from Mar on the email - beach looks a bit too crowded for me.

Some great funnies from Mike too.

St George\'s Day on Thursday and I\'ll be flying the flag, but there won\'t be any parties in the pubs.

Morning folks.

It REALLY is a very sunny day here today, and I hope Mark is out with his camera these days getting great shots. Wall to wall blue skies, every tree and bush in the countryside is in bloom, and the grass is getting high.

Annette, glad things were not too bad with the operation..

Liz, hope Reghan continues to get better.. Is she back in school??

Patricia, Mies, Mr.Mies, Stephanie, Mar, Micilin, Mike in Ca, Gary, and everyone else have a great week.

Take care, catch you all later

Pat-I\'ve heard that the bass like the garlic flavor worms. It\'s not the best choice for walleyes though. I\'ll stick to a piece of nightcrawler or a Berkley Gulp minnow or floating leech.

Ah, the Grand Canyon on CAM 5, it is a wonder. Thanks, Debi Crews.

Hey, Mr. Mies, does anybody out there fish with garlic juice injected gummy worms? My son-in-law was talking about it, he fishes mostly for largemouth bass and he wants to try it, says he hears the fish love it. Sounds weird to me, but fishermen will try anything they hear about, won\'t they?

Hope Y\'all have a good week.

Nice pictures on CAM5 the last few days, I never had a chance to look at them until today.

A nice day here today, a little overcast, but pleasant. I worked on the stage most of the day, it has to be ready in 2 weeks & needed a few repairs, a design change or 2, & some cleaning. Caleb pitched in & we got most of it done.

Annette-I gave the fish a chance, but taught Mike a new presentation to use & it worked very good for him. We were just practicing catch & release anyway.

That\'s a SUNNY day in Kerry on CAM 5, Mark Westlake??!!! No wonder poor Treasa complains. I can\'t imagine what a rainy day would be like in Kerry. Pitch black? Hehehehehe. Interesting pic.

Treasa calls those rays of sunlight slipping through clouds like that \"God rays\", and they are just like what is painted in middle ages religous paintings.

Annette, if you know a frost is coming on the Saint\'s frost days in May, can you cover up your tender plant shoots? Even a couple of layers of newspaper laid loosely over them and weighted down with stones at the edges can help. I\'ve done that for sprouted seedlings with a late frost. You need to take the newspapers off very early the next morning. It\'s worth trying.

I\'m off for a late supper, I\'ll check back later.

The nature also exploded here around within the last ten days. It was very warm for this time of the year (20C/68F-25C/77F)and on last Thursday we got rain. A soft and constant rain for about 24 hours. The soil was dried out and soaked the water up like a sponge. It\'s great outside now but many flowers and plants are sprouted too far and maybe we will have a last frost in the middle of May (called \'Eisheilige\'-\'Frost Saints\' and it\'s a period in May with increased likelihood of night frost falling on the feast days of certain saints).

Great photos on the Cam the last days. Would like to travel right now.

Have a nice start into the new week all.

Hello everyone, I\'m slowly coming up to the surface again. My surgery wasn\'t too uncomfortable, Pat, but as always in such a case, you need some time to find back to yourself. And to know that there will be another two surgeries during the course of this year already makes me nervous. But I really made Mr. A cook for us and just relaxed on the sofa.

Mieses, I already have an implant. I will write you a mail about my experience. Mr. Mies, sounds as if you had a great time. Some fish will be happy that you only watched them.

Liz, I would paint your rooms pink, too. Mar, doesn\'t have to love them. Tell me when Mike CA is ready with the painting work. Then I\'ll come over to check if he did it right. hehehehe

Treasa, that must be a lovely sight in your area now. I tried to imagine all the colours. Fortunately I can\'t smell the slurry...

Good afternoon everyone.

It is a most beautiful day in \'The Kingdom\', and all around the country - I hope -

Lovely warm sunshine, and gentle breezes. Went for a long walk this morning, and the countryside is just amazing. The ditches are a mass of gold (furze) and white (blackthorn blossoms) amont the new green leaves. The roadside verges and a sea of yellow (primroses) and purple (foxglove). Pity I didn\'t have my camera with me.

Only glitch is the smell. Brother-in-law sprayed slurry yesterday, and the smell is lingering in the warm sunshine. It\'s in the rooms in the house, and I hope I don\'t have any visitors for the next few days.

Anyway, off to lunch with \'THe Boss\', Take care everyone, catch you all later.

Liz-No freezing here, today it was mid 60\'s & blue skys. Spent all afternoon on the lake watch Mike & Tom fish, I could have been too, if I had remembered to buy my fishing license before we got on the water. We even tried to go on line on Mikes Blackberry to buy it, but there was no cell service there. Still it was a great day outdoors, wiyh friends.
