Hello all! From a very snowy day in Wyoming. At least where I live. My dad came up and stayed the night, but left yesterday before the storm hit. It started snowing last night, and isn\'t suppose to stop until late tonight. Besides the snow, it\'s a little windy. Perfect for a blizzard. So spring break is now winter break! You gotta love springtime in the Rockies!

Love and Hugs,

Steph

Happy Birthday Sean!!!

It is just beautiful here, the area is exploding with dogwood blooms, and the azaleas are magnificent. They are about a month later than usual, and so are very welcome to those of us who love the Springtime. Actually, they are probably welcome to everybody, as it has been a long cold winter.

It is much too pretty a day to stay indoors typing on a computer keyboard, so as soon as I finish up some things I have to do, I\'m going to be out in the fresh air and sunshine.

My blessings and a hope for a happy day to all of you.

Mornin\'...

Mike CA, don\'t miss the cleeks today. Lots of music festivals.

That was a good version of the story of the Chidren of Lir, Webbie. I have read dozens of versions, and like any legend it gets a little different embellishment and emphasis from each storyteller, but the basics remain the same. One even had St. Patrick in the role of the person who gave the swan-chidren back their human form, but they were old and wizened, and died immediately, whereupon he gave them a Christian burial. No matter the embellishments, to read that story always brings a lump to my throat, and someday I intend to HEAR it told by an Irish man or woman. It is always good to have things you want to do before you die. A voice and accent like Jim McCann\'s to tell it would be just fine.

Good Night, Liz.

Sorry you missed a fishing day, Mr. Mies, but have a good celebration tonight. I\'m sorry about your friends accidents. That\'s sad.

Tomorrow, or actually today in Ireland or in Germany where I think he still is, is Sean Fada\'s birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SEAN!

Bye, Mar. Have a nice trip to Leon, and Happy Easter!

Cont.

And HAPPY EASTER to everyone else as well. We always have a big family gathering in Thomasville for Easter, with an egg hunt and everything, and it is always warm enough to eat outdoors, everybody brings a covered dish and we feast. I\'m off to check out my easter basket supplies...I think I don\'t have any easter basket grass, so that goes on the shopping list. And yellow marshmallow chicks. Nobody ever eats them, but they are traditional. An easter basket isn\'t right without some. And some chocolate bunnies to bite the ears off of. Or better yet, steal their basket and bite the ears off your siblings\' chocolate bunny. I still make baskets for my grown-up kids, and if they aren\'t just right, I hear about it.

I\'m gone. Y\'all Take Care.

Nice picture on CAM5 S. O\'Muiri I think there is more snow there than we had here all winter. Thanks to you & Webbie.

Boy were the forecasters wrong, not much wind, no rain, & no snow today. It was a little cold but I could have fished through it. And I wasted the day at work. Boy I\'m bummed out. It was our fiscal year end so I\'m going to celebrate tonight.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hey, Mike CA. How are you, Cousin? Will you make it to Ireland for that festival? How nice.

Thank you, S. O\'Muiri (and you too, Webbie) for that sculpture of the Children of Lir on CAM 5. I just love that story, it\'s my favorite Irish legend, it just tugs at my heartstrings, somehow. There really isn\'t much plot to it, as stories go, but there is something lovely and magical in it.

Think about it, it would be very hard to design a sculpture about it, it doesn\'t lend itself to it, it\'s not an easy story to represent that way, maybe easier in a painting. I know about the sculpture in Dublin in the Garden of Remembrance, and this one and that one do a pretty good job. This one lacks the flowing grace of the Dublin sculpture, but it is perfect for where it is.

I really wish to be with my whole family soon, specially with my parents, of course. I hope you all are ok and enjoying a lot too. We\'ll talk soon again, I hope. Hello everyone, unfortunately I keep being busy busy busy, lately I\'ve been involved in the preparation of a birthday party that finally was boring and insubstantial... (not my fault, I was in charge of children games and they did have fun!) and also with some family issue about which I\'ll tell you some other day in detail (my father is a bit ill, but apparently he\'ll recover soon and well, please God!). I don\'t stop now to read your posts and to answer them, and to give you details about myself now, because it\'s too late now, actually I should be already in bed now. But I\'ll try to be soon with you here again, I miss you too much, I promise

Webbie-Thanks for posting my squirrel picture on CAM5. After lunch we came back & left him a few french frys, not that he would need them.

It\'s been a bad week here, 3 friends have been killed in snowmobile accidents since Saturday. TJ was only 29 & I\'ve known him & his Dad both since they were in diapers. It\'s very bad because of the old crusted snow & now a foot or 2 of new snow on top making perfect avalanche conditions.

I was going to take today off & go fishing, but it was 28F & windy this morning & that was the best of today, so we canceled & I went to work.
