The bill was previously agreed on to be 15.00 per person, which comes to $645. He gave me a bill for $87 and being honest, I said this was incorrect. Then he came back with a bill of $867 and then $759 and final try of $660. By then, I was extremely irritated and told him here\'s $645, take it or leave it but that was all your getting. Needless to say, he was a dumbarse and will never see me or my league again....grrrrrrrrr

Well we\'re off to our first Tourney tomorrow. I might have the net and will get a chance to post.

You all be good and mind Webbie...Talk to ya soon...sorry this was so LONG a post!

Upon arriving to the restaurant we found out the owner, who was late, didn\'t close it to the public, and had stuffed all 43 of us in a small cubical with a few tables with 36 chairs and one small table for all our extras blocking the fire exit. It was so cozy that if someone wanted to leave a table, everyone had to get up to let them out. And to make things worse the waitresses kept taking tables from us as they had overbooked that night... The food was suppose to be buffet but the owner changed it to passing dishes around and you take a serving off. Another thing he didn\'t tell me about ahead of time. At the end I pay for the whole banquet out of funds we have collected all year. (begrudgingly this year)

Okay, the Banquet, grrrrrrrrrr..I learned a lesson. Never let someone volunteer to get their high school buddy who owns a restaurant & will give us a good deal to host your event without putting EVERYTHING in writing. When the details were first discussed he was going to close the restaurant and give us the whole place. We had 43 people and it\'s a smallish Italian restaurant called Mama Mia\'s. We also needed a few extra tables for our trophies and door prizes. Mr. M is the MC, he gives out the sweepstakes, pin money, trophies, patches, door prizes etc. We also have a fun segment where we give out gag trophies for funny things that happened through the season. Example, worst spill of drinks... We had three scores of 666 and gave devil ducky awards.

Liz, I hope Regan is doing well, and of course Sean too, probably both are growing like weeds. Maybe they would like a jar Annette\'s tadpoles too?. Kids like those things. (Annette, another place for you to unload some of them)

Steph, you really hit those books, worms? Apparently didn\'t like their lunches?

Treasa, Val is full of the devil and has expensive taste.

Mike CA, A $50.00 find? WOW! Well, easy come, easy go, at least you got to hold it for a few minutes.

Mar, hope are enjoying your trip to Holland.

Mick, you can always say to the free sister press, they get what they pay for.

Hi ya all...I missed writing you, but have been slammed the last few weeks. Start of Spring is like this.

First, I wanted to mention how much I enjoyed Mark Westlake\'s video. The photos were like wonderful paintings that I would love to hang in my house. Also loved the music, the whole thing was candy for the eyes and ears. Thank you both Mr. Westlake and Webbie.

Jim, give Marie our best and tell her we are thinking about her.

Funny story about the froglings and little boy, Annette. Mr. Mies and I laughed about it together.

Pat, I wanted to email you about the \"We Shall Remain\" series but ran out of time before we leave for Mardon. I wanted to tell you I haven\'t watched it yet. I\'ve been recording it and planned to watch all five episodes at once. How do you like it so far?

Treasa, I\'m not sure if the little boy said his mother where the tadpoles are from. It seems he always has a bad conscience when he asks me for some sweets and probably, he might not reveal his source.

Stephanie, I think we also ate some worms when we were children. But it isn\'t funny when you are responsible for the kids. Be strong...

...and you, too, Mick. It can\'t be helped. Don\'t let it trouble you. There will always be a solution.

Miiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeesssssss, I miss you.

Ha, Webbie, you can\'t frighten me as I already got the spawn as a present. So, when the frogs knock at my door I will show them the way to our neighbour\'s son and he can lead them to their \'birthplace\' near here. hehehehe

Pat, I know that the frogs move back to their birthplace for the spawning season. But they will definitely NOT move indoors for a few months.... certainly not... not in my house.

Liz, nice story, the boy with the rose, sounds lovely. But our roses will need some more time to be in flower. Primroses are still here.

Hello chaps.

Looks like a bright sunny day in Dublin.

Bit of a mixed bag here, sunshine and showers, bit chilly at times too.

Bit of a bombshell at work this week, we have been informed we now have to take over our free sister paper and write advertising copy - despite a freeze on pay and recruitment.

All I can say is what gets done gets done, what don\'t they can whistle for.

Too old to worry.

Patricia - Bet you roll over and give a kitty a home.

My Erin\'s female cat has produced a litter of 3 kittens well before she was suspected of being able to do that, the young hussy, and one is black with little white paws, my favorite kind. Erin, knowing my weakness for little black kittens is trying to convince me that Ms. Cat needs a pet of her own. Actually, Ms. Cat doesn\'t, she already has me. And if the way she treats me is any indication of how she would treat a defenceless little kitten, I think that Erin had better find a better home than this one for the little black baby.

Cont.

Ms. Cat hates everything. She cornered my Susie\'s little dog, Nadine, in the living room the other day, and though Susie was calling Nadine from where we were in the kitchen, Ms. Cat woudn\'t let her go. Every time Susie called \"Nadine!\" which usually brings Nadine a-running, we\'d hear a pitiful little \"Yip!\" from Nadine and a hiss from Ms. Cat. It was sad.

I\'ve gotta go, I\'ve got too much to do today to visit any longer. Y\'all Take Care.

Annette, that was a brilliant present for your little friend. What little kid wouldn\'t love to have a jar of tadpoles? Unfortunately I can\'t confirm Webbie\'s info on migratory patterns of juvenile frogs, FWF research and \"Watch those Amphibians\" program isn\'t complete on that. Might be true.

E-mail spam here is increasing at an alarming rate, especially offers to sell pills for the feminine equivalent of e-disfunction. I got one this morning that addressed me simply as \"Dearest\", and though I don\'t know anybody in China who could suddenly appear on my doorstep looking for a primed woman, I\'m a little worried about the direction this may be taking.

Morning everyone, really nice, bright morning, still and there is warmth in the sun. Hope it stays like that.

Jim, Marie is already in my prayers, please let us know how things go for her. It\'s a worrying time. Hope you are keeping well yourself also.

Pat, I think I managed to get enough of the note together to take it to the bank, it\'s more sticky tape than note, but I\'m sure I have the numbers which will make it viable.

Stephanie, I know it gets tiring near the end of term. My sister teaches, and at the moment she is exhausted, and wishing the next few weeks would go quickly.

Annette, you were determined to get rid of the tadpoles....

I\'m sure the little boy was delighted, but what about his mom?? You might have a visit from her hehehehehe......

Anyway, got to run. Hi Liz, Mar, Micilin, Mike in Ca, Mies and Mr. M, Webbie of course, and everyone else I may have forgotten.

Stay well, catch you all later.

Treasa

Webmaster-Comment: ...hmmmm....now that young lady from Germany doesn't realise that tadpoles are born with a homing intellect and within the first few weeks of their transformation to froghood they return to their birthplace and usually attempt to move indoors for a few months. They then move back to the pond for the breeding season.
Check this out with the Florida Wildlife Federation.

Hello all! Just been busy with school, and I hate to say this, I can\'t wait til it\'s done with. I just hope I can find a job to teach students. Annette, I\'m glad you got rid of some of those tadpoles today. Some 4th graders today ate some worms. Needless to say everyone knew about it. I guess one of them was at the nurses office with a belly ache.

Jim,

I\'ll pray for Maria. I\'m sorry she has tumors. I hope Ellen is doing okay also.

Pat, and Treasa when houses become abandoned here they totally destroyed by people who have no respect for other people\'s property. Well take care all!

Love and Hugs,

Hi all,

I just dropped by to tell you why Marie hasn\'t been posting of late and what\'s happening now.

She\'s had these problems with part of her inner ear. They told her that they\'re tumours and if not dealt with could cause her to die, and that the surgery itself is quite dangerous. Tonight she\'s in hospital awaiting the surgery in the morning.

For those who do, please pray for her, for the surgery to be a success.

Thanks everyone.
