Hello chaps

George - Cracking pic. I have a pair of collared doves nesting in the garden. Like swans, they mate for life and if one is killed the frantic cooing of the remaining bird at it searches for its mate is heartbreaking.

Patricia - Yep gotta admit when I think of Indians it\'s always the blokes in breechcloths and moccasins riding painted ponies across the prairie. Loved Dances With Wolves.

Logged onto that website but it wouldn\'t let me open the programme, message said something like \"not available for viewing.\"

Annette - Don\'t let them blokes anywhere near your kitchen unless they sign a legal document agreeing to mop up the mess.

That PBS series sounds very good but it will take me a while to watch and understand it. So I will see when I can find some time to watch some parts at least. I saved the link for later.

Mr Mies, that\'s a great photo. It seems the dove got already accustomed to your neighbourhood. And it likes to be fed. It would be great to see the little doves.

Pat, good you are up your feets again. Let your daughter pay for her fit of laughter. There will have to be a pompous dinner for you. hehehehe

Liz, that is a nice idea to invite the mothers and grandmothers to the school. I bet you had a lovely time. We also have Mother\'s Day next Sunday and my \'men\' already told me I won\'t have to cook. They will do it. I just wonder who will clean the kitchen after cooking...

Later...

Good morning, Treasa. That\'s funny as I also looked for that word in my dictionary but couldn\'t find it. Steph will have to explain it for us. Stephanie, don\'t overwork.

Nice to hear you feel better, Treasa. Here around they say pure pomegranate juice is also good for such cases. But it\'s difficult to buy it here. I sometimes ordered it online.

A blue tit on eight eggs... that\'s incredible. Poor mama-bird will have to feed a lot. Let\'s hope papa-bird will help.

Stephanie, I just googled \'Dibeling\' and still no wiser. I am not familiar with the word... Thanks for the tip about cranberry juice. I actually like cranberry juice and several people say it\'s brilliant...

Anyway, I am going to work today, still not 100% but I am 95% better.

Take care everyone, catch you all later.

Patricia, Liz, we have had mothers day already in April. But there is momentum growing here for a special GRANDMOTHER\'S DAY. I am not sure if a special date has been set aside to celebrate yet or not. Will keep you posted. Pat, hope the swelling goes down soon. I am THE biggest sissy with anything medical and sshhhhh, don\'t tell anyone, but I had to be put out at the dentists (and I don\'t mean outside the door).......

Morning everyone,

Nice bright morning here, but very cold bbrrrr..... feels more like January than May.

I love the pice on Cam5 Mr. Mies.... really lovely.

We have a radio programme here in the afternoons, which follows wildlife (among other things), and at the moment they are watching the progress of a Blue Tit who is sitting on 8 eggs......

Pat-Hope you feel OK tomorrow. I got numb once & tried to drink hot coffee. I didn\'t feel it running down my chin, but did when it spilled into my lap.

Liz-She is nesting on a parts rack right next to our building. Diana has been feeding her granola & sunflower seeds. They lay 2 eggs that take about 15 days to hatch, so it should be next later week. I never thought about Mothers Day.

I\'ve been busy all evening reworking our tournament computer program for this year. So much to do & so little time to do it.

Celtic Woman is tomorrow night & we are going to O\'Doughertys Irish Pub for dinner before the show.

Oops, the know around the bird feeder is to say knock. The sparrows knock the lid off and spill the seeds on the ground so more can get some. I also sprinkle the seeds on the ground too.

Hello all! Pat glad your fine after the root canal, but wait til tomorrow, you\'ll take some pain medicine. I always hurt the next day! Treasa, drink some cranberry juice and tea, that will help the kidney infection.

Mies I love the picture of the dove. Sometimes I wonder if they are a smart bird or not. The sparrows here have learned to know the bird feeder a certain way and the seeds and lid come out and off. My cat today sure is being very needy. Constantly staying by me. Been very windy here the last couple of days, but it will subside once the full moon is full tomorrow. Been testing the kids the last two days with dibeling, and I haven\'t wanted to study which means cram section this weekend!!! Pat and Mies I watched the episode on the Cherokees since I have heritage from that tribe. Very good. I can\'t wait to be done! Well off for bed.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

Wonderful pic of the Mourning Dove, Mr. Mies. She is lovely, and sitting on eggs??!!! Perfect...Mother\'s Day here is Sunday! I hope you can get some pics of the babies.

I\'m glad you put up that website, Mies, and thank you, Webbie, for the cleek to it. That is the almost the only channel that I watch, y\'all ought to bop around in there and see the interesting programs they have.

I had a rest and a nap this afternoon after my root canal, everything is fine, numbness is all gone, I don\'t think I\'ll need the pain pills I was given at all. I feel so good I could lick my weight in wildcats...but I still have a fat lip. Seeing it made my daughter go off in gales of laughter. The girl\'s got a cruel streak. I may not let her take me out to lunch on Mothers Day. That\'ll teach her.

Y\'all Take Care.

Thanks Webbie for posting the picture of the Mourning Dove on CAM5. She is nesting on the cutting edge rack here at work. Luckily she picked serrated edges that we only sell in winter. She has 2 eggs in her nest & sits & watches us. We can get close enough to put grain out for her to eat, so she doesn\'t get to far from the nest. As you can see in the picture the part # of the edge is 8J8255. I hope to get pictures of her chicks if the eggs hatch.

Phew, Mies, I really forgot to write you a mail about my experience with the surgery and the implants. I promise to write it tomorrow. It is too late for me now. I can\'t really concentrate on that subject anymore at this time of the day. My bed is already calling...

Treasa and Pat, I hope you feel better soon. Take care.

Hi ya all

Treasa, glad you are better. Sounds like you were in a lot of misery and pain.

Yes Pat, the western tribes seemed to be most written about in stories. Cowboys and Indians.. Gawd, I didn\'t envy you today...a root canal..been there, done that, several times....Which reminds me....

Annette, you started the tooth transplant process, I think I remember that being mention. How is that going? My Dentist wants to do one on me for about $3600. It also takes about a year? I have so far been able to put it off.

Mar, glad you had a nice trip. Looking forward to pictures.

Off to fix lunch...Have a good one everyone

Patricia

Mies, I did get that first episode of \"We Shall Remain\" online at PBS. Thank you for telling me about that.

Micilin thinks he would enjoy seeing it, I will get the exact address and post it here and he could go watch the episodes there. He probably won\'t like the first one about the Eastern Indians as much as the later ones about the Western Indians, I think he\'s more interested in the Plains and Western tribes, but that first episode is important to the historical background.

Bye!

Hey, Treasa, I\'m glad you are beginning to feel better, and I hope that continues.

I know what you mean about hating to be sick. I do, too, and I\'m sure I\'d be a bad patient if I were ever really sick, if you judge by the fuss I make about getting shots and things like that, and like my dentist trip this morning. Although I think if you warn your doctor or dentist that you are a sissy, they take it easier on you. That dentist gave me so much pain killer this morning that I am still numb right down to the knees. I didn\'t feel a thing, and probably won\'t for some hours. I did accidently bite my numb lip on the way home, and it is beginning to swell, so I\'m going to take my fat lip and go lie down and watch TV for a while. I deserve an afternoon off.

See Y\'all later.

Anyway I feel much better today (3 days of antibiotic later) and hoping to get back to work tomorrow.

My prayers go for everyone that is going through REAL illness at the moment. There are so many people really ill, and frankly I don\'t know how they cope. I\'m afraid I would be a really bad patient.

I cannot bear to be ill....

Still a bit \'light headed\' so I\'m off for a little lie down.

Catch you all later, and will get up to speed with all the news and gossip.

Morning everyone from a really \'under the weather\' Treasa.

Had a wonderful weekend in Cork, the weather was fantastic, sunny and warm, and it was a lovely family time. Then, Sunday night I began feeling unwell, and couldn\'t wait to get home on Monday. Tuesday\'s visit to my GP revealed a nasty kidney infection..... Boy.... I HATE being unwell.... and now I discover I HATE kidney infections because they make you feel so unwell. Never had anything like that before.

Felt cold and miserable one minute, and hot and shivery the next. Running to the toilet every 2 minutes.....

Hello everybody, just a quick post to say \"hello\" to you all, to tell you that my last trip to Holland was simply almost perfect (you\'ll have details and pictures this coming weekend, I promise), and that I keep being busy (doctors for my knee, gym for my whole body, work in the morning, annual taxes report coming soon, organizing hundreds of pictures of Holland, etc. etc.). But I promise I\'ll be here with you all this weekend, ok?

I hope you\'re all ok and having fun, take care and enjoy this lovely spring!
