By the way, do some of you remember our GB friend Amanda, a young girl with 2 small children, I think from Virginia (not quite sure about this)? It\'ll be her birthday on Tuesday, but it\'s ages since I know nothing about her, she disappeared completely after her dad passed away, too sad

Well, off to answer mails, most of them from some of you, he, heee... I hope you all will have a great week, a bit more relaxed than mine! Take care and have all the fun you can!

Mick, terrible story about the poor little girl, I feel so sorry for her family I hope your weather will improve soon, specially for your coming holidays, they sound so great the way you describe them! Iím also waiting anxiously for my coming holidays, in just three weeks!!! If Liz doesnít want to go with you to climb those lovely hills (crazy Liz!), just wait for me, Iíll be there as soon as I get retired from work in about 20 or 25 years from now, I promise! Of course if your beloved wife allows it, congratulations on your 39th anniversary!

I planted four tulip bulbs in small pots this morning, but Iím not quite sure whether Iíll be successful at growing them, Iím too bad with plants, I hope I wonít soak them with too much water this time (I use to do it with all the plantsÖ) Thank you for the link to the Frauenkirche, itís amazing how they rebuilt it! Send me pictures of Dresden, please!!!

Pat, you read my mind, thatís exactly what Iím doing lately: I love to travel everywhere, and Iíve decided to ďgrab the bull by the hornsĒ, as we use to say here, and to travel and to do funny things as much as I can, because as you say, you never know what will happen tomorrowÖ Thatís why Iím going to NY with my sister in about three weeks, and Iím going to see a concert by Bruce Springsteen in August, and a concert by Elton John in October, and many other funny things Iíll think of, I hope! Will anybody join me? ;9} Oh, how Iíd love to see you dancing that funny dance: ď\"Sorry\", stomp, \"Sorry\"Ē, haa, haaaaÖ Enjoy your free day on Monday, friend!

Iím sure you did them great, donít overwork too much Howís your husband doing lately? Is he feeling ok too? Iím sure that spider was looking for trouble, it was self-defense, right?

Liz, Iím glad you didnít have too much water there in your area, I heard about the floods in Queensland, I truly hope that nor you or your relatives are affectedÖ

Webbie, thank you for the cleeks to the Trabant car, I loved it, as much as I love any old car that looks a bit different from the rest, I even liked the coloured U2ís Trabant, but not as much as the classical one, I must admit Thank you also for Mark Westlakeís last pictures and video, itís sooo nice!!!

Mr.Mies, congratulations on your sparrow babies, are they growing ok? I loved the pictures, and the whole story, and videos in Youtube would be great!, thank you for it all, friend I hope youíll have a great time working in Idaho, please try to make pictures there, if you have time! Enjoy your BBQ with your daughter tomorrow, friend!

Apart from this, today is the last day of an awful week, at least for me, Iíve been going out of my flat at about 7am and returning at about 9pm everyday, from Monday to Friday! Itís been too tiring, and even though tomorrow I have to do it again, Iíve promised myself that this coming week Iíll do some things in a different way, finding more free time out of whatever, otherwise Iíd die too young, and thatís something Iím NOT going to do, I promise! I hope you understand why lately I just write here on Sundays, I hope Iíll be able to be here more often, weíll seeÖ

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Treasa, I don\'t know what we would do without Pat to remind us of special occasions.

Hi Liz-How you doing? We don\'t have so many little bridges like that around here. In Glacier Park, Going To The Sun Road has several stone arched bridges on it.

We are working on putting a few videos of the Dove at work on YouTube. We\'ll keep you posted as it progresses.

Mornin\'...

Treasa, I woke up knowing this was the day and that I had forgotten to put this up before I went to bed last night, had to fling myself out of bed and tear along halls, and bounce off walls getting here but...

I\'ll be back when I\'ve recovered.

Thanks for the bridge picture Mike Lester. I agree with Pat, it looks enchanted.

Wonderful day here low 80\'s & blue sky\'s. We got our weeding done, the joys of Maple trees, pulling all the new trees every spring.

Tomorrow we are going to our daughters for BBQ & to play with Little Dash, her 9 week old Jug puppy, a Jack Russell/Pug cross. With all the energy of both breeds.

Happy Birthday Franka

Mick-Sorry to hear about the girl. I\'d love an antique tractor show. At the Whitman County fair they always do an old fashioned harvest, with horses, old tractors & machinery. They even plant a field of wheat, every year, next to the fairgrounds just to be used for it. I googled Puffin Cottage, looks like a good place to spend your holidays.

This weekend is Memorial Day here, Micilin. It is a day to remember our war dead, in particular, a pretty big national holiday. It\'s kind of like the first big picnic and barbeque day of the summer, always celebrated with parades, etc. on the last Monday of May, which is early this year and the holiday kind of crept up on me. Always a big traveling day, and I notice the gas companies put their prices up just in time to take advantage of it, thugh they all swear the cost of gas is tied to production costs. Sure it is.

I\'m glad your computer is working better, Liz. what did you do?

I\'m off to do something useful. Y\'all have a nice weekend.

Just for you, Franka...

Sad about the little girl dying in the fire, Micilin. The Lord has another angel in Heaven today.

Steph, it is OK to kill a spider or other insects if we have to. I never heard Micilin\'s story that it\'s bad luck, so maybe that doesn\'t apply in America. On general principle, I don\'t like killing any of God\'s creatures, and I always express my sorrow when I have to kill Georgia Thumpers or even ants, I step on them to dispatch them painlessly, so when I chase Georgia Thumpers around in the yard, it\'s stomp, \"Sorry\", stomp, \"Sorry\", gets to be a regular song and dance. Have to do it though, they will eat every leaf off a bush in a single day. I don\'t like to spray indiscriminately with insecticides, because then you kill good bugs, like ladybugs.

Hello everyone, we are out in an hour to pick up Franka at the train station. It\'s her 20th birthday today and she wished to go to her favourite restaurant this evening. Cakes are ready all and who wants to come for coffee should be here tomorrow at about three in the afternoon.

Mick, terrible story abput the fire. Poor girl and parents. I\'ll google your cottage later. Didn\'t have time so far.

Pat, I didn\'t forget you and the photos but I\'m afraid it has to wait until tomorrow. And when you can\'t come for coffee I will also send you some cake.

Have a nice weekend all.

Me again

Well, it\'s another Bank Holiday weekend and another short deadline, but it\'s been a busy week and the paper\'s full so I can take a little breather. Might even sneak off early to make up for all those missed lunch breaks.

It\'s my 39th wedding anniversary tomorrow and I\'m taking \'er indoors out for a cow pie and a couple of beers.

Going to the Herts County Show on Sunday, loadsa tractors and all things rural - sort of thing the Mieses would enjoy.

The shock of the little girl\'s death is starting to be felt around the town and we\'re getting calls from people wanting to raise money for the family.
