Love the pic on 5

Hope you like this poem by Edward Thomas.

The Lane

Some day, I think, there will be people enough

In Froxfield to pick all the blackberries

Out of the hedges of Green Lane, the straight

Broad lane where now September hides herself

In bracken and blackberry, harebell and dwarf gorse.

To-day, where yesterday a hundred sheep

Were nibbling, halcyon bells shake to the sway

Of waters that no vessel ever sailed ...

It is a kind of spring: the chaffinch tries

His song. For heat it is like summer too.

This might be winter\'s quiet. While the glint

Of hollies dark in the swollen hedges lasts -

One mile - and those bells ring, little I know

Or heed if time be still the same, until

The lane ends and once more all is the same.

Hello chaps

OOPS looks like I might have misled y\'all - sorry. I don\'t actually leave for Bonny Scotland until June 20.

Mr Mies - YIKES rattlers in the workplace. Blimey, the only venemous reptile we have is the adder/viper and they are only fatal to the very young, very old or very sick.

They are also extremely shy and avoid human contact.

There is a small colony on heathland near my home, but are rarely seen.

Treasa - Looks like we are still sharing the same glorious weather.

Hip, Hip, Horray, the summer came,

And stayed for more than just a day.

Morning everyone,

I had really forgotten just how beautiful an Irish Summer\'s day is. Saturday was just beautiful with just a few clouds, but yesterday was magnificent.....

Wall to wall blue skies, light breezes, 25 degrees, and daylight all night in the northern sky. It was so beautiful. We had breakfast on the patio, lunch on the patio, and dinner on the patio. Last summer we couldn\'t even put the patio furniture out. Today is going to be 26 degrees. Our cousins from Tampa are astounded.... they didn\'t even bring a pair of shorts with them, as they expected the usual rain and cold.....

I can\'t remember having days like these since childhood, or at least since my childrens\' childhood.

So hi to everyone, and take care, I am off for another day outdoors, and some sun soaking.

Love

Treasa.

Thank you, Maria Asuncion. Sorry your computer isn\'t working well, but I hope you are fine, yourself.

Though I couldn\'t get the location right, this is the one I was talking about. I\'ve seen several pictures of it, and to me it is very beautiful. I\'ll try to google a site that shows a picture.

\"Abengoa Solar has brought its massive PS20 solar tower in Seville, Spain online. The 20-megawatt plant is the largest of its kind in the world, delivering electricity to 10,000 homes. The development is yet another example of Spain’s growing influence in the solar sector — which now extends as far as the American southwest.

Cont.

The tower architecture that defines the PS20 plant is still fairly unique. This particular plant is 541 feet tall (about 54 stories if you picture it as a building), and uses 1,255 mirrors to laser focus sunlight to boil water, create steam and turn a turbine. Abengoa already has a similar, 10-megawatt tower in operation, and another 20-megawatt tower in the works. All of these structures are part of the envisioned Solucar complex slated to produce 300 megawatts by 2013. One megawatt of energy is enough to power about 800 households — and that’s a conservative estimate. All told, Solucar would deliver electricity to 240,000 homes.\"

Well I\'m off to bed. Tried studying today, but didn\'t get much done. I had to take an afternoon nap. Pat, that\'s horrible about the mercury levels. We have high levels of some chemicals naturally found in nature that humans can not control. What I don\'t like about the windfarms is that they destroy the nature scenery. Soon they will fill the Mountains in the west. So much for the frontier! I too rather have solar power than the windfarms at least they don\'t take up that much space. I have strong opinions about that too!

Well Liz, have a happy winter! The Wind River is at the flood stage right now the National Weather Service has said, plus we are finally getting some rain this week. Should help my garden unless all the pollutants are in the air from surrounding states mix with the rain and clouds.

Goodnight hugs,

Yeah Pat, I\'ll be careful, very careful. I\'m not a snake person & got to be less of a snake person when we moved to rattlesnake country. Your shrimp boil sounds like one we do at our August Walleye Club meeting. Lewiston is a 2 hour drive each way so so much for our no overtime policy. The river is running a close to flood stage, so it\'s not quite as pretty as in September when we follow it to Montana. But with all the fields & grass still green it\'s still a very scenic drive. Well I\'ve got to go I\'ve got ribs & beef in the smoker.

Have a great day everyone.

Now that I think about it, that solar tower that I like so much isn\'t in Germany, it\'s in Spain, near Madrid, and I\'ll bet Maria Asuncion knows about it.

Well, Micilin is probably on the beach with his dogs, Annette and I are watching for the flower boxes at O\'Sheas to bloom, Mike CA is about to decend on Ireland this summer, Liz, how are the little ones doing? Getting over the flu, I hope.

We have just had our first case of Mexican Swine flu confirmed in this area. Reminds people to be extra careful about washing your hands often.

Slept late this morning after being out in the fresh air all yesterday, didn\'t get home till way after dark. Now I am running late and must make a serious start on the day.

Y\'all have a good day, and Take Care. Watch those rattlers tomorrow, Mr. Mies!

I had a very nice day yesterday down on the Sopchoppy River for my son-in-laws birthday party, everybody fished, but there were no fish in the river at all...nobody caught anything. Erin made a lovely cast about 70 feet right across the river and got her hook caught in the trees on the other side. We had to cut the line. She had to take a lot of teasing about how hard those trees are to reel in.

So, we had no fish to fry for supper, but we had a big pot of low country boil with shrimp and sausages and potatoes and corn on the cob and a bix Mexican flavored casserole and salads and all the other things people bring to gatherings, as well as brownies and a big red velvet birthday cake with fluffy white frosting. Yum.

Mornin\'...

Looks like a lovely day in Dublin, the sun is shining brightly. I hope it\'s shining in Kerry for Treasa, too, this weekend.

Hey, Steph. I hope you have a good start for your summer job. So you will be generating some power with wind turbines in your area? I don\'t mind the looks of them, expecially if they are replacing coal-fired power plants which spew mercury into the air, which poisons fish and critters, and eventually gets into people.

I like solar best, myself, where it is feasible, I have seen a picture of a solar tower in Germany, I think, that has thousands of huge mirrors that reflect big rays of sunlight that are hitting the ground back up to the tower, it is a mix of sculpture and light show, and knockout beautiful to me. It is said to be collecting even more solar energy than expected. I\'d love to have one of those here. The mercury levels of all waterways in Florida are very high, pregnant women and children are advised not to eat fish caught in them more often than once a week. It\'s criminal to destroy children\'s brains with mercury poisoning.

Good morning all! Nice sunny day here. Been warm the last two days. About two months ago I went looking at window for the front and a new front door. They were put in on Friday. My dad came up on Thursday and stayed the night, my mom couldn\'t make it up. But they worked all day on Friday, and will back on Monday to finish the job. The house looks great! Now my neighbors behind my have their house for sale. I am really bummed, because some dorks will probably move in there and destroy it. The neighbors beside him sold their house and the new people are just loud. What happened to respect and quietness? Well I better go get ready for church.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

Start shooting weeds tomorrow for the county!!! Can\'t wait!!! Nothing like the open road, before the wind mills destroy the scenery.

Sunshine in Dublin, people are wearing shorts and short dresses and it seems there are a lot of tourists around O\'Shea\'s corner. The sun will bring the flowers in the baskets and planter boxes out and it will be beautiful. I liked the sight when I was there last year. As many things it looked even much nicer in reality than on the Cams. I wish I could be there right now... *sigh*

Mick, when will your holidays start? You are probably too early as Fish Festival and Flower Show will only be in August. But your cottage looks great and there\'s a Whisky Trail...

Mike, that\'s a fair trade, coffee and cake for Tacos and beer. I\'ll take you at your word.

Liz, I can hear you very well. I can understand all what you wrote on the GB.

Good Morning (at least it is here)I have to go back to Lewiston again Monday, but only for the day. We are having a problem with the floor drain in the shop there. The rattlesnakes have found a way in & every couple of days one will be found on the shop floor. Yesterdays was only about 2\' long. If I find 1 at the parts counter I\'ll be gone!!!!!
