Hello Mick and all the other GBers...

I was out in my garden the whole afternoon and enjoyed the sun. Now I\'m tired but can\'t go to bed yet as Robert is still practising the clarinet. There will be a concert of the orchestra of his music school tomorrow evening together with the big orchestra of our opera house. Perhaps, some of you can remember that I once told you about the last concert. The closer the date comes the more Robert practises. There will be a dress rehearsal tomorrow in the morning and the big concert in the evening. So, I won\'t be here tomorrow as I have to whooooooooosh to the opera house after work. But that\'s something that I can do very well, you know it.

I\'m not a thief, Webbie. I just borrow the stones from some places to move them to another place, namely, my garden. That means, nature got them back and nothing happened. hehehehe

Hello chaps

Wild sort of day today with great black clouds roiling about the sky and the wind ripping through the trees.

Great slideshow from Mark.

Seamus would soon spoil the peace and quiet of that sandy cove.

Like a bit of fish meself, but gotta say I prefer cod or Scottish haddock to fancy fins like red snapper.

I feel sorry for the old boats in Mark Westlake\'s video. Once they were pretty and did their work and supported families and now they rot in the water. What a pitty. The video is great. Thanks Mark and Webbie. ...and now I\'m searching for the place where that heart-shaped stone lies...

Hello all! Feels like fall here today and the last week. We have a freeze warning for tonight, and possible snow later tonight. I just hope my tomato plants make it! Go to work at 6 AM and won\'t be home until 6 pm tomorrow if the weather is good. Last week out, I saw deer, ducks, yellow gold finch, hawks, and weeds. It is sure fun being out there and shooting those darn weeds. Well I\'ll try to jump on tomorrow, and everyone have a good night and day.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

(I think I\'m hibernating again. Winter maybe back soon.)

Yee-Hah! We\'ve got a beautiful, sunny morning here, no storm clouds in sight, I guess the weatherman was wrong.

We have Red Snapper out of the Gulf here, delicious fish, my friend makes a cold salad with it, like making a tuna salad, only incredibly better. They were in danger of getting fished out a few years ago, and a very strict limit put on even sport fishermen catches, but it worked and they have rebounded and you can keep what you catch. A very successful example of the state\'s wildlife management programs.

I\'m out of the house into the great, sunny outdoors.

Bye!

Good Morning-About 5:40 here Time for breakfast & then a 7:00 launch. Then get the trailer torn down, packed & hauled 100 miles to get some more wiring done. Next stop Kettle Falls in about 3 weeks.

Liz-Red Snapper sounds delicious. Wish we were there to help you eat it, since all these get released.

I hope you all have a great Sunday.

Pat-The answer to your question \"who can you trust?\" PoliticiansI guess

Moses Lake day 1 is in the can, big fish was 10.78#, big basket of 6 fish was 26.48#. We only had 3 teams come in with 0 fish & only lost 2 fish, so that was pretty good. We had rain about every 20 minutes all afternoon & some pretty good thunder & lightening. Just what you want with 90 boats on the water.

Tomorrow will be Mies & I\'s 44th wedding anniversary. It is kind of a tradition to celebrate it here with all our friends on the tournament circuit. I think I\'ll take her to a tasty SUBWAY dinner

I was reliably informed Patricia that the snails climb up the lampposts to avail of the morning sea dew.The posts themselves retain the solar heat which evaporates the dew but the glass shades dont. These posts are right by the sea front and are covered in dew for a few hours every morning early.

Damn, the weather is rotten here. There\'s been nothing but rain and storms for several days, and several more days like that are forecast, too. I\'m getting cranky, a couple of dreary days will make me go into a real decline. I\'m used to the sun. Bummer.

I\'ve gotta go, there are things I must do today, mostly dumb housework stuff. Oh, bitch, bitch, bitch.

See ya.

Why, Mr. Mies. I know that fishermen are prone to lying about the size of the fish they caught, but now you are telling us that they lie about other things as well. I\'m shocked. What\'s the world coming to? If you can\'t trust a fisherman, who can you trust?

Boxty, Webbie? Traditional Irish dish? Looks like a good recipe, thank you for that. Looks like a good way to use up last night\'s leftover mashed potatoes. We have \"hash browned\" potatoes for breakfast sometimes, they start with cubed, cooked potatoes and get gussied up with whatever you have on hand, onions usually, sometimes chives and shredded cooked corned beef, and sauteed loose almost like scrambling an egg, or sometimes formed into a patty with a little egg as a binder and fried up crispy to serve with eggs at breakfast. I\'ll try the boxty. Thanks for the recipe.

Mornin\'...

I like that pic on CAM 5 today, S. O\'Muiri. When you see something like that you just have to wonder what those snails think they\'re doing. What attracts them? Maybe it\'s like mountain climbing for people, didn\'t somebody famously say they did it because \"it was there?\"

Reminds me of the idiot suicidal hara-kiri ants that fill up my pump electrical switch box and die and interfere with the electrical contacts there...but someone told me that a moth ball in the box will deter them. I\'m trying it.

Work has been very busy, it\'s finally looking like a normal summer. The 3 days I was in Lewiston I barely put the phone down. I\'m glad, maybe things will get back to normal.

On my way home Monday evening I went through a blizzard of cottonwood tree fuzz. It was blowing across the highway for 1/2 mile, just like blowing snow, it was almost zero visibility. I\'ve never seen it that bad. I feel sorry for anyone in that area with allergy\'s.

Mies says Hi to everyone & hopes to be back soon. Things should settling down now.

We are in Moses Lake, the stage is set-up & all is ready for tomorrow mornings meeting at 6am. It\'s about 90F here & a very dry heat. Our motel has wireless internet & air conditioning so I\'m happy. They had a very strong thunder storm move through last night & the forecast for tomorrow is a little better than was expected. Everyone says the fishing has been slow, but they will all lie the day before a tournament. Half of them will fish the same place, the same lure & still swear they are using something else. Believe me there are no secrets. If they tell you they are going north you better go south if you want to see them.
