The only thing I know for sure about owls is \"They don\'t taste like chicken\" & that\'s a fact. Oh & Spotted Owls will breed in sage brush if that\'s all they have. My theory,(& only mine by the way) \"If humans will spawn in the backseat of a VW, walleye will spawn in Liberty Lake & Spotted Owls will spawn in sage brush.\"

Mr. Mies, I think Webbie is lying about that thing being an incubator. I think Liz is right about it being some kind of a stove. Why should an incubator need to be made of metal with a big old piano hinge and four door catches? Those baby chicks aren\'t too powerful. That damned thing would hold wildcats.

Not to mention that awful joke about (germin)ating his petunia seeds. Annette and I are just ignoring that. He\'s hopeless.

Get Mies on here. We need her to stir up some trouble, it\'s too peaceful. Tell her she can even insult Engelbert Humperdinck, I can\'t stand all this niceness.

Bye!

Liz, Madam Woo says that nobody has presented her with any problems to solve, and that is why she hasn\'t been on. She just goes around solving problems all the time, she hasn\'t any time to be lollygagging around being sociable.

Whew, that is some picture on CAM 5, Mark Westlake. First reaction is to feel sorry for the poor little chicken, it\'s little legs are hanging down so pitiably. Second reaction is \"Get real, lady, that\'s the way of the world, and you have less excuse for those steaks and chops and the Southern Fried Chicken on your table than that owl has for that chick\". We are just so removed from the reality of how we get our food that we are able just not to think about it. That is a magnificent owl, though, and a powerful picture, though it\'s hard to look at. Such defiance in that owl\'s eyes.

Nice picture on CAM5 today Mark Westlake. Did that meal come from Webbies incubator? Which would have been my 3rd guess. (if I\'d have thought of it) All our incubators were made from cardboard boxes & a 25 watt light bulb.

What a contrast between Led Zeppelin and Herman\'s Hermitts. I wonder what our Webbie had for breakfast this morning. hehehehehe

Pat, indeed, you know Robert\'s room pretty well. I found the dirty dishes under his bed and the clothes, too. But also a moulded slice of toast among some pelleted fish food and a few single socks that I\'m looking for for ages.

Liz, is your son already with you? Enjoy the time together. Are all the others well? How are Sean and Reghan?

Yeehah, Mick.

I hope Mar is having a nice trip and the Mieses and the other GBers are well.

Hello chaps

Hope you are all well.

Mar - you take care in the big apple.

Watched a cracking little western at the weekend.

Jubal, starring Glenn Ford, Ernest Borgnine, Rod Steiger, Charles Bronson and Jack Elam -how\'s that for a cast list.

And I had another chance to watch The Shootist with the late, great John Wayne and James Stewart.

Yeehah.

Today I spoke to a cattle breeder and vicar accused of having a lesbian affair and tomorrow I am meeting a woman who breeds alpacas.

Funny old game this.

Mornin\'...

Holy Mackerel, Webbie. Those cleeks are about all I can take on a Monday morning...Wilson Pickett and \"The Boss\" (not Treasa\'s Boss, the other one), that\'s great Rock. And Tom Jones and sweet Peter Noone in one video! I\'m wired for the whole day.

Nice glass pumpkins on CAM 5, Dee Langevin. Have to say they are lovely pieces of art, though I do not particularly like the color orange. Nice lighting, too, it really shows them off.

Everybody have a nice week, Take Care and stay out of trouble.

You\'ll have a kidless house for a week, Annette? That will be nice, no loud music, no dirty dishes left under his bed, no clothes on the floor. Hope you enjoy it.

Webbie, that\'s the most overbuilt incubator I ever saw. What are they hatching, Godzilla Monster pigeons? I\'ve seen some chicken incubators lately, they are just very lightweight wooden boxes with a single catch on the door and racks inside for the eggs, and a light bulb to keep them warm. Jeez. That looks like something you could melt glass in or a kiln for ceramics.

However, if you could acquire it, you could probably hatch out some sea gulls in it. Hehehehehe.

Hello everyone, the weekend is nearly over here but I didn\'t have time to come on. It seems I was as busy as some of the other GBers but it\'s nice to come on here after some time again and (as Pat said) the GB is still here and the GBers, too.

But I don\'t have much time either as we\'ll get Robert to a meeting point in some minutes where he\'ll start to a journey to London. It\'s a school trip organised by some teachers. They go by coach to the ferry in Calais/France and then to London where they stay at host families. They\'ll have a full programme for four days and come back next Friday. Things are all packed and we\'ve just gone through the last instructions.

So, have a nice start into the new week all. See you tomorrow.

Have a nice journey, Mar and take some photos for us.

Hi All-Very busy yesterday, I had to work & then we walked to our daughters to see how much Dash had grown in 2 weeks.

Mar-Have a great trip to NYC, we will look forward to seeing your pictures when you get back.

Steph-Sorry about sending you the storm, it split here & went around us. We have everything hooked up on surge protectors but still turn it off if we get lightening.

Mick-You should be here this weekend, they are showing John Wayne movies, The Searchers is on now & a 2 night run of Lonesome Dove, restored & in wide screen.

Webbie-We still don\'t know what the \"Whatzit\" is?

Mornin\'...

Glad you weathered that storm, Steph. Yes, I always try to get my computer and TVs unplugged when lightning is near, so they don\'t get zapped. We haven\'t heard from the Mieses since that storm went through their area, I hope it didn\'t knock out electricity there.

Mar, Sweetie, go to NY and have a great time. One person can only do so much, you must not worry about what you can\'t get done. When you come back, this GB will be here and you can tell us all about it. Vaya con Dios.

I\'m off to start my Sunday, I hope Y\'all are having a nice day.

I forgot to tell everyone, yesterday during the storm my computer was on. I was going to check for updates on the storm, and radar since the Weather Channel isn\'t as acurate as the local weather, and zap! The power went out for about 2 minutes. I went \"crap!\" I wasn\'t working on anything, but still you could lose the computer. I think it\'s working better today after that. Anyways when it did come back on I checked the beast, and it came back on okay. It shows that when you hear thunder turn your electronics off for safety. Stay away from windows

Hello all! I was going to get on yesterday, but ran out of energy by the time 9 AM came around.

Mar, take time for yourself, your more than welcome to come out west where we do things at our own time, and never are in a true hurry.

Mieses, we had bad, I mean bad storms yesterday afternoon. I thought my house was going to blow away, or it was going to become a boat. Many warnings, but its gone now over the Dakotas.

Pat,

We saw \"Imagine That.\" Really good movie for kids and adults. But boy my migraine hurt worse once we left the theater and headed outside in the light. I tell ya, glad it\'s Sunday!!!

Well off to do some chores. Hubby is gone watching the \"College Finals Rodeo\" in Casper, so I can clean, hopefully.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

...but this afternoon I have to pick my sister at the airport (she arrives from León), but before... I have to make loads of things at home, I haven\'t even taken the suitcase out of the closet! I haven\'t had (nor have it now) free time to anything, not even to rest! So I\'m tired and stressed, and I\'m really sorry that I haven\'t been in the GB or sending mails lately (really sorry, I promise!), but I\'m happy because I start a week in NYC tomorrow, I hope everthing will be fine and I\'ll take loads of pictures, and I\'ll show them to you after I\'m back, I promise.

So that\'s all for now. Take care and have all the fun you can this coming weekend, we\'ll \"talk again\" after it, loads of kisses, Mar,

Tomorrow morning I leave to NYC, but before that... these last days/weeks have been totally stressing, with visitors at home and in friends\' homes, and also with too much work in my office, and now I\'m already on holidays, but ...

Good luck with your 13 page paper, Steph. Anybody who would write 13 pages should get an \"A for effort\".

How was the movie?

I\'m going out now to whack the ivy off my St. Francis statue. He\'s being engulfed in it again. I can hear his little voice calling out for me to rescue him, he speaks Italian, he says \"Mama mia, Helpa me! Helpa me!\" It\'s too sad.

Bye!
