Clear announcements accompanied by digital sinage,(I only remembered the old tannoy where no one could understand what was being said). Carriage service as well as restaurant (tea didn\'t change... still tasted awful.. but then every cup of tea outside my own home tasts awful..... is it me???). Train arrived in Dublin bang on time. Walked out of the station to the Luas stop, and by the time I had printed a ticket for my journey the Luas had arrived and within 10 minutes I was at BusAras in the city centre. Full marks to Ireland for public transport...... I will go public again for sure..

Things have changed so much with regards to public transport and I must say I was very impressed. It is years since I travelled by public transport to Dublin. I remembered it as being nothing but hassle. Not yesterday though....

I booked my train ticket on-line the previous day. When I got to the train station, I just inserted the card that I had used for the booking to a dispensing machine, and one second later my ticket was issued to me. New carriages on Inter City trains, made a big difference. Comfortable seats, carpeted floors, clean, shining windows (all I remembered was dirty, smeared, smelly trains).

Stephanie, I know what you mean about drivers, but yesterday my driving was very peaceful. I left home at 4.15am and drove the coast road to Limerick. As I left home there was just a chink of light in the eastern sky, but it kept getting brighter and brighter as I was driving along. For the first 30 miles or so it is beautiful peaceful scenery, and yesterday the water in the Estuary was calm and still. (The Estuary is where the river Shannon meets the Atlantic ocean and divides North Kerry and Limerick from Clare) But the last 20 miles can be very busy as it contains ports, and industries, and lots of slow moving traffic. But yesterday morning - no traffic... I could hardly believe it.

Morning everyone,

Firstly let me say a big \'THANK YOU\' to Webbie for the drive to my appointment. I got the Luas from Heuston Station to Bus Aras, and Webbie met me there and drove me to the Mater.

Patricia, sorry I didn\'t get time to give him a kiss, not even a peck, as I was already running late and only for his kindness I would have been much much later. ( I thought my appointment was 8.30am, but it was actually 8.15am) Then he was off to meetings for the day so we didn\'t meet again. Next time we\'ll have time for coffee. He is a true gentleman, and really very kind. THANK YOU KIND SIR, really appreciated.

By the way, I can\'t spell, \"so\" should be \"some\", and the entry was about people taking rocks from Spain as a souvenir.

I just checked the temperature for Riverton online, and it said, \"84 F!!!\" That is freakin\' hot for this area! I hope it cools down soon so I can sleep.

Hello all! My attitude is a little better these last couple of days. Must admit, people are idiots. So those who read this and drive just drive careful, because many people can\'t drive.

Now done with that. It was warm the last two days. In the 90\'s. But it has been humid too, which is weird for us here in the high altitude desert.

Couple of days ago an entry said something about Spain\'s rocks. Well everyday, I come home with my pockets full of rocks. Mostly white quartz, but they are beautiful. I have found some rose quartz too! And so blue rocks. So rocks in Wyoming are free if you know where to look for them.

Mieses we need rain here, but I am thinking Fall is coming August 11. So much for global warming, what if this is how the earth has acted for millions of years, and we now have the technology to study this? Yeah, well driving 12 hours a day you get to thinking alot. Mar, My partner and I haven\'t shot those hemlocks yet! I better remind him.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

One last question before going to bed (where I should be right now): I know Gary is on holiday, and Sue must be lying on her beloved beach, but where\'s

Mick? Travelling through his beloved mountains? And where is Sean? Taking care of his wonderful twin grandchildren? And where are Jim and Marie? An where is Eamon? And where is my sister Mies???? Please, let me know about it when you can...

More kisses to everyone

Liz, enjoy your new washing machine, I hope it won’t take much of your time to use it, there are better things to do in life, right?

Mr.Mies, there are also loads of awful fires here in Spain, and worse of all, there are already five firemen dead and some more severely injured and burned, and they can’t stop the fires! Treasa’s rain should be shared here too, please God!

Steph, did you plant those poisonous weeds finally? I hope they’ll get to the proper destination, not to anyone else, he, heee…Are you feeling a bit less stressed today? I hope so…

About Frank McCourt, right now I’m over the middle of his third book, “The teacher” (a coincidence he died while I’m reading it), I love it as much as I loved the previous ones, “Angela’s Ashes” and “’Tis”, it ’s a great loss indeed

Treasa, enjoy your trip to my beloved Dublin, and remember you’re always welcome in here, get ready to sweat a lot

Webbie, treat Treasa as well as you’ve always treated me and Annette and some other, you kind gentleman

Pat, great to know you’re fine, I hope your connection problems will be solved soon

Hello everybody, I hope you\'re all ok, I\'m busy here working and having fun, though it`s way too hot to be confortable and to feel good in the central hours, I hope I\'ll be able to sleep tonight, we\'ll see... Tomorrow two of my Dutch friends will visit me here and they\'ll have me for 4 full days going from my office to the beach, and then to the shops and then to have \"tapas\", I hope I\'ll survive such a tiring rhythm... I\'ll let you know

By the way, I know I owe you all some of the best pictures I took in NYC, I\'m sorry for the delay, but I promise I\'ll send them soon... some day...

Just a short \'Hello\' to all. I can\'t stay long. There were thunderstorms last night here and the next ones are already approaching. So I will unplug all the devices here around.

We will have a BBQ with the neighbours tomorrow but I promise to send photos over the weekend.

Have a nice trip to Dublin tomorrow, Treasa. You can give the Webbie a kiss from yourself and all the rest of his girlers on this site, that will be OK.

That is a long day of traveling, but nice to leave the driving to somebody else. You won\'t be as tired at the end of it. Take Care.

Send pics, Annette!

I\'m here, Guys, and I am fine. I\'ve just got a lot going on this week, and some problems with my internet and e-mail server. I\'ve popped in several times, and got interrupted before I could post a word. Don\'t worry, I am not that easy to get rid of.

Cont.

That is very hot, where you are Mieses. We broke a 1929 record for low temp last night, though days are still in the low 90sF. The weather everywhere is screwy.

Thank you for the McCourt cleeks, Webbie. Both brothers will steal your heart away, they are so cute and funny. I\'ll have to read some of their other books, which I wasn\'t even aware they\'d published.

I just got 3 books in the mail, all of which were recommended by Eamon...\"The Hidden Ireland\", Corkery, \"There is an Isle\", O\'Flynn, and \"Straight and Crooked Thinking\", Thouless. See, Eamon, I always listen to what you say. I keep a running list of things I want to read, and pick them up locally sometimes, but will order them from Amazon if I can\'t find them.

I\'ve gotta go and do some paperwork, if I can chase Ms. Cat off my desk. Y\'all be good.

That\'s a pitty, Liz. I\'m just ready with my laundry. That would have been a nice task for your new washing machine. I must think about holidays in OZ...

I hope there isn\'t something serious with Pat. She didn\'t pop in here the last days.

Stephanie, I hope you feel better...

Mieses, you must stand that weather now. I remember your moaning in spring when it was cold and snowy. And perhaps you\'ll have the first snow in September again. hehehehe

Mick, how about sending some of your photos to us? I\'m pretty curious about them.

Later all...

Hello, Treasa. I hope you\'ll have a nice day in Dublin tomorrow. And enjoy your free days this week. It seems there is a lot of work coming for you until your great trip.

Hello everyone, just three days at home but I\'m busy as usual. When we start holidays Mr A usually needs a \'warm-up-time\' to feel free and to be able to get into the holiday-mood. I can relax right from the first day and enjoy it. I leave my work behind right in that moment when we leave the house. But just that moment when we enter the house after holidays I\'m in the \'business-mode\' again. And so I already had two busy days here but could downlaod my pictures yesterday at least. Perhaps, I\'ll find some time this evening to send the first ones round.

Mar, I am glad you are having such nice weather in Barcelona. Can you send some here pleeeaassee.......

Where is Patricia????

I think Webbie is getting worried.. Maybe she is having trouble with her internet connection, or maybe storms, I\'m sure she will let us know as soon as she can.

Micilin, are you having the same weather as us??? I saw lots of clouds over England on the weather map yesterday. But I think you had fairly good weather on Monday....

Well, I\'m on holidays for the rest of the week.. Then I have four long weeks (6day weeks) not looking forward to that... Then on Aug 31st off to the USA with me for 2 weeks... looking forward to that.. Just sad that I won\'t make California and meet up with Mike and family. But next time for sure..... Keep checking the Aer Lingus for me Mike, and I\'ll keep checking at this end for you.

Take care everyone, stay safe and catch you all later.

May get to see Webbie!!!!

I will take the Luas from Heuston Station to the IFSC in the city centre and walk from there to the Mater Hospital. (Webbie I imagine it should only take about 10 minutes to walk that distance, do you think?)

I am not used to being in Dublin without a car, but I decided to try the journey by train and not have the headache of traffic....
