Pat, nice to hear about your experience with the hanging tomatoes. I think I won\'t try it myself. It seems it\'s much effort for the same or less results.

Mar, have a nice time with your Dutch friends. And leave some sights for us when we will visit you next time.

Liz, I would never ever steal the rocks from Stephanie or Mies. Never... hehehehe By the way... Do you have some nice rocks in your garden or around your place?

Off with me now. I\'ll prepare some mails with pictures for you. I\'m not sure if I have all your e-mail addresses in my list. So, if someone didn\'t get pictures and is interested in them please let my know.

Stephanie, you can join our (Mies and I) club of stone-collectors. I didn\'t know that you are fond of collecting stones, too. I took some stones from Spanish beaches. I would never take prehistoric or historic valuable stones from a place. Just plain but nice little stones from beaches or mountains. There is a neat little collection in my garden with stones from all places where I was on holidays. You always can find some nice ones when you open your eyes. Though, the biggest stone in my garden is bought. I bought it from a stonemason and it had to be carried to my garden with a big crane. Hope your temperatures cool down a bit.

Mike, my mother-in-law cared about our house when we were on holiday. She lived here and worked just for some food. You can borrow her when you want. She is pretty fit for her age and does a great job.

Hello everyone, storms are over and the weather calmed down here. There was a lot of damage all over the middle of Europe but thankfully we weren\'t hit to bad. And I hope Mick had some sunshine for the canal festival.

Mick, looking forward to the pictures. Hope the new meds will help to lower your blood pressure.

I saw Treasa met our beloved Webbie. Yes, yes, I can confirm it. He is a true gentleman. He helped us a lot last year, too. We will have to get him under protection. hehehehe Though, Pat is right. His old carts are his true marks of his affection. I\'m sure. I will reveal it in a mail with some attached pictures. I think some of our GBers run international businesses...

Thanks for the cleeks, Webbie. Good ones.

It\'s just getting light here, I woke up too early and have been waiting around for the sun to come up so I can go out in my yard to drag away all the stuff I cut off my bushes and trees yesterday. Things grow like crazy in this climate. A gardener\'s work is never done.

See ya!

I was out yesterday tying up a tomato plant that I\'m growing at the foot of the post that holds the wonderful hanging tomato garden, and I broke off the leader of the plant, which will not do it any good at all. I was hopping around from one foot to the other, cussing a blue streak. I can\'t say I am too crazy about the upside-down method of tomato culture. I have two tomato plants in that hanging plastic bag...one is doing fine, and one is withering away. Go figure. The basil in the same bag is great, though.

I\'ve got ripe figs on my tree, I\'m out of here to go pick some. I don\'t really like them, myself, but I give them away to people who do, and share the rest with the birds.

Y\'all have a nice weekend.

Micilin, just take care of yourself exactly as your doctor tells you to do, it will be OK. It\'s rotten that just as we get to the place in life that we should be more able to enjoy the pleasures we\'ve worked for, we find out that there is something that\'s limiting us...but taking a few pills and watching our diet is much better than the alternative. Modern medicine can prevent complications from diabetes, which is becoming more common. Hang in there, friend.

I\'m waiting to see pics of your hill trek. Don\'t forget me.

Mornin\'...

Another sunny Florida day here, but we will get some thunderstorms this afternoon. Typical Florida summer weather. Steph, 78F, and you think it is HOT? Try low 90sF every day. You seem pretty chipper lately...enjoying your break from studying, I see.

Your day in Dublin sounds very nice, Treasa. You are lucky Ireland\'s trains are so good, U.S. train travel used to be wonderful as well, but is now in a sad state. I took a train from Florida to Baltimore a few years ago, just for nostalgia\'s sake, and I recall it as the \"Train Trip From Hell\".

Yes, Treasa, if we entered our Webbie in a \"Sweetest Webbie\" contest, he\'d win it hands down. And don\'t feel sad at not being invited to the Pro to pray. That\'s minor league stuff...it\'s being invited to go help him push his auld cart and scrape wads of gum off the Dublin streets that is the true mark of his affection. Shoot for that. It\'s lovely. Hehehehehe.

Hello guys! Yes I\'m popping in again. Well it is warm here at 78 degrees and humidty at 22%. I know, I know, that\'s not bad, but for a place that doesn\'t have humidity it is hard to live with. Monsoonal weather coming in this weekend. So I might not get on because of the lighting.

Treasa your morning drive sounds so cozy, with the sun coming up. Gosh, have you ever thought of taping it, and sharing it?

Mick, my husband has type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure, he is only 36. I think what we all need to remember is our ancesters lived their lifes with almost no doctors. But what we need to do is eat the food our ancesters ate, why are we here, if they weren\'t healthy? Something to think about.

Mike, I hope you can find someone good to watch your house. Liz, have a good night sleep.

Everyone else come in and type a few words.

Love and Hugs,

Hi again.

Micilin, watch that blood pressure!!! Now, watching the girls is not good for blood pressure so stop watching them!!! Oh heck!, I know your life would be miserable without the girls, so have a peek now and then but try not to get carried away. Seriously though, you should watch the blood sugars. Diabetes, while managable can be a pretty miserable disease and lead to other nasty things.... like not being able to watch the girls (worst case scenario)..

Enjoy the canal festival, and hope the sun shines for you. It\'s a nice bright sunny afternoon here, pretty hot and humid, but promises of rain and wind from the Met Office.

Liz, Webbie didn\'t invite me to the Pro.. boo hoo boo hoo.

I\'m sulking!!!!!

I\'m off to sulk some more, catch you all later.

me again

Annette - Still sorting my holiday pics out, but pictures you want pictures you shall have.

Went to the docs yesterday, got a bit of an ear infection, and she told me the results of a blood test I had a coupla weeks ago, turns out I\'m borderline diabetic and my blood pressure is through the roof - again - so she changed my meds.

Gotta go back early next month for more tests.

Gawd I hate getting old.

Looks like the sun\'s gonna come out after all so I guess I\'ll have to go outside and get on with some of the chores I promised myself I\'d do.

Whatho folks

Mar - I wish I were still in the hills, but I\'m back in flat, boring, rural Bedfordshire - behind my desk.

Except today (Fri) when I have taken a day off.

Just got in from shopping at Tesco where my favourite checkout girl said she was planning a trip to Dublin with her mum. Turns out she was born there - I like her even more now.

Treasa - We are having another thunderstorm as I write, but supposed to be bright and sunny tomorrow, which is good because it\'s the annual canal festival and lots of people will be disappointed if its a washout.

Met a nice couple on the train home. They were from Limerick, retired, and turned out we have lots of mutual acquantainces. Ireland is a very small country...... We were chatting it seemed to make the journey much shorter.. Then arrived home around 9.30pm. Was in bed by 10pm and didn\'t wake until 8am this morning. I am never driving to Dublin again.... Public Transport is the way to go.......

Got to get some breakfast, catch you all later.

Everything went well after that. Had a really nice day. Walked a lot around the city, changed my shoes twice...

Met Ian for lunch and we went to the restaurant in the \'Kilkenny Shop\'. Really nice food there. I had home cooked ham, with potato, tomatoes, and greek salad. Ian had beef stronanoff. We didn\'t bother with dessert...... Then he was back to work, and I back to the shops.... didn\'t buy a thing though, as I was not in buying mood, just looking and sightseeing. Had tea at the Gresham Hotel, sitting inside the window looking on to O\'Connell Street before heading back to Heuston for the train home.
