I spoke too soon, now it\'s overcast & a very humid 93f. Mies & I went downtown for an hour & couldn\'t wait to get back to the truck & it\'s air-conditioning. Then it was a mad dash for home & a very large cold Root Beer Float

Well we have summer, from 10 degrees below normal last weekend to 10 degrees above this weekend. It was 97f yesterday on my way home. At least we don\'t have the high humidity they have in the east. We\'ve had to start watering our lawn, almost a month later than usual.

Like Pat I\'ve got a a busy weekend planned. Lawns to mow, trucks to wash & some shopping for the tournament in 2 weeks.

Oops, I mispelled a word - farmer\'s feed should be farmer\'s field.

I don\'t feel to scared of the chemicals, since I avoid them, what gets me more sick, is when the city sprays for mosquitos here. That stinks for about 15 minutes, and I close the windows, as best as I can.

I actually spray my yard with some chemicals from work. Because, I have bind weed, and white top in my yard. I believe I finally got rid of the thistles.

Hello all! Everybody is doing better, and the trip was okay. Of course I was thinking about my homework, and stressing. But I\'ll get the work done. Phillis and Pat we spray weed killers for the noxious weeds. We have alot of whitetop, knapweeds, Canadian thistle, field bind weeds. These weeds can take over a farmer\'s feed in one year. So the County shoots the weeds on the roadsides, and we shoot over the fence lines if it looks okay to shoot. My partner sits on the side so he can see what\'s in the ditches.

Mar and Annette I hope it was a great match. Well all off to do some house work.

Love and Hugs,

Awwww, Phillis. Don\'t you hate it when a puppy is lost and wandering? I can\'t ever ignore them, either, and have to do something about it. Maybe you can find out where she came from, or a new home for her. Don\'t send her to Florida, I\'ve got my hands full here with a little black curly headed canine critter. If she had a little finger, I\'d be wrapped around it. The cutest sight in the entire world is when she does that stretch in the morning when she gets up, with her front legs down on the floor, and that little round black rump sticking up in the air, with the stumpy tail just a-waggin\'. She\'s so happy to start the day that it makes me happy, too.

I\'ve got a busy Saturday happening, but I\'ll take time to check out those cleeks, Webbie. Thank you, they look interesting.

Y\'all have a good wekend.

Found in my driveway: one black and tan puppy with huge feet and beggar\'s lice! Barely weaned and whiney. Shall I ship her to Florida or Australia?!

Great cleeks, Webbie, loved \'em. I had forgotten Sam the Sham and the Pharoes, they were great. Madam Woo says that if you have broken your little bottle of Love Potion #9, she will be glad to send you another one. Madam Woo is such a sweetie.

I\'ve got my new monitor installed, color and brightness and definitin are great, I love it for text messages, but it makes photos or images too wide...people look short and fat, and drawings are out of proportion. I\'ll have to see if there is any cure for that.

Gotta go have lunch and do some work this afternoon. Keeper is fine, Liz, I\'ll give her an extra hug from you. I suppose Grace is growing like a weed. They keep us busy.

Bye!

Pat

Cont.

Liz, I wanted a puppy, too, but Keeper turned out to be the best dog for me. If I had cats in the house, I wouldn\'t have been so quick to bring in an adult dog, I think it\'s better to introduce a puppy in that case, it\'s not so intimidating to the cats. One paw whack from a cat on the nose of a puppy that is getting too boisterous will teach that pup to respect cats for the rest of his life. Then you have the advantage of using that 5 to 8 week old imprinting period that pups have to socialize them with humans. You get a better companion that way. With Keeper, it wasn\'t much of an issue, she loves everybody, she\'s very sociable.

Pat-Glad you made it OK. I\'d like to visit the part of the USA someday. My Great Aunt lived in Glen Burnie, she moved back to South Dakota when she turned 95 & lived there another 10 years.

Annette-Glad you liked the pictures, those that didn\'t get them sorry. I tried resizing them, but it didn\'t work. I\'m trying it again & will send them if I works this time.

Well good night all! See tomorrow. I\'m tired, and the wind finally stopped here. Suppose to snow on Thursday, yes the white stuff will be coming down. My poor tulips they may not make it this year. Sweet dreams, and yes I am still mad! Grrrr!!!! Went to the store, and almost beat up the manager. Need a punching bag, I think.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

(I couldn\'t find any cupcakes in the grocery stores either, and that really upset me!)
