That is a very funny bear pic on CAM 5 today, Sonja Nic Rafferty. He looks very bored. Thank you.

CAMs are all especially clear with good colors today, Webbie. Did you wash the lenses? I can almost read the menu signs on the front of O\'Shea\'s, and the hanging flowers look like they are doing very well, growing and blooming nicely.

Gotta go.

Bye.

Mornin\'...

It\'s sunny at the moment, but another day of intermittent storms is predicted. Jeez, that\'s hot, Mr. Mies.

Wasps. Bummer. They used to build nests on my front porch, but now I have a hang-up trap which is quite good, really works. You put sugar water in it, they fly in to get that, and can\'t get out again. I haven\'t had to be out there doing target practice shooting Raid wasp killer at nests for quite a while.

Heaviest hurricane season is starting here...prediction is there won\'t be many this year. That\'s fine with me.

\'Night, Liz. Pretty quiet on here, isn\'t it? I hope everybody is having a good weekend.

I\'m home from my meeting, it was hot as predicted. When we left at 3:15pm it was 109F, 40 miles east, as I crossed the Columbia River Gorge it was 117f & over 100f all the rest of the trip home. I really love the big trucks big air conditioner

Mies & Caleb got one more side of the garage primed before being attacked & stung by a wasp. Caleb applied first aid & I found 4 nests on our deck when I got home. There was a very big nest blown out of one of our trees a couple of weeks ago. I think they are just trying to find a new home. Not here..........

Well, Mies, here\'s a conciliatory proposal: We will share the rocks on the beach!!! I would like to have them all alone but I consent to give the half of them to you. I think that\'s okay for both of us and I would even let you have the heart-shaped stone. You\'re welcome.

Have a nice journey tomorrow, Mr Mies.

She\'s not crazy, but I\'m sure it would help painting in 100f. I\'m of tomorrow for a meeting with Fish & Wildlife in Ellensburg, in Washington\'s desert basin, the temperature is predicted to be 110f+. Mies won\'t even go with me, who can blame her. Normally there are 4 of us that ride together. The other 3 are sane enough to stay home, this trip I\'m on my own. I guess I\'ll take the big truck, with the big air conditioner.

I love, love, love Mr. Westlake\'s pebbled beach. It reminds me of my kitchen. Some of you have seen photos of it. I have very carefully applied small round polished rocks to a large portion of my kitchen walls. I am crazy about rocks as ya all know...The heart shaped stone would fit in perfectly at my house

Hi to everyone. Catch you all later...

Off to have a heat stroke

HIYA...

YES! I am still kickin\'..Mr Mies hasn\'t locked me in a closet to keep me quiet...just seems like I am soooo busy this summer. In a few minutes I\'m out the door to put primer on the shaded side of the garage before it hits 100 today.

Webbie, thanks for posting a cleek for us. \"that\" fish? When you ask about pointing at a fish, I am wondering if you mean the one that was lifeless? If a contestant brings a dead fish to the scale he is penalized a percentage. Mr. M usually points it out to them before we figure his score for that day. It doesn\'t happen often, thank goodness. I am not on the video, but very close to scale with a team of three to four women adding the scores to the weigh slips, computer and getting the fisherman to sign and verify their results...BUT, if you were talking about Channon\'s fish, then I don\'t remember pointing. Gawd, it was a nice fish.. We\'ll have to check it out on the video.

Pat-Sorry you don\'t have snow, maybe this year we can send you our surplus. Yes Kettle Falls & upper Lake Roosevelt are very beautifull. Lots of forest, clear deep water, eagles, osprey, lots of deer, (we saw adoe & twin spotted fawns almost everyday)moose, black bear & once in a great while a grizzly will wander into view. The lake is controlled by the National Park Service & most of it is undeveloped & will stay that way. There are a few cabins that are on leased land from many years ago, but no private docks are allowed.

Webbie-Thanks for the cleek, I\'m not sure what I was pointing at. Maybe just the size of the fish, it was almost lrger than the 2 biggest fish at the last tournament.

Liz-We had teams enter from 4 states, it was won by a team from Montana. At the Governors Cup in June we\'ve had teams from as far away as Florida & Maine. There is a large trophy that can be displayed in the state capitol of the winning team, if they want. In the 14 years the tournament has been going it\'s only been won by teams from Washington, Oregon, & Idaho. The teams are selected by their states Governor to represent their states.

I think this is a long three-day weekend in Ireland, the last bank holiday of the summer? I hope you all enjoy it. We\'ve got more than 3 months of summer left in this part of the U.S., it won\'t be getting cold here until mid November. We don\'t have any snowdrifts to stand on to paint when we are working outdoors, Mr. Mies. Just ladders.

Everybody have a nice weekend, short or long.

Mornin\'...

Thank you for the cleek to the Walleye Tournament, Webbie. Nice of you to put that up. Hey, Mr. Mies. Lots of fish there, looks like fun. Beautiful place, too, with the water and the mountains.

I enjoyed the other cleeks, too, Webbie Darlin\', especially those about the traveling people. They have a fascinating history.

I suppose that by now you have washed everything washable in the house with your new machine, Liz. Have a rest, you deserve it, sleep tight.

I sent an e-mail with a link to a YouTube video of our tournament weigh-in. It shows what Mies & I do on our weekends. I have to explain about the girl in the pink CAT hat, sorry Mar. She always wears something pink & asked us for a hat. Her husband said \"if we get a fish over 5# I\'ll wear that hat on stage to get our check.\" The fish I\'m holding for Channon is 8.66# & we held him to his word. Now I have to ask, Mar would you wear a pink hat for $3500.00?)?)

Nice sandy beach on CAM5 todayThanks Mark, Mies really liked the picture & the castle. The rocks reminded us of the ones along Snake River.

Pat-Painting here in winter is a good idea, you don\'t need ladders just stand on the drifts to get to the eaves. Mies says you can have Caleb as soon as our garage is done, send a ticket

I agree with Annette, those were nice cleeks today, Webbie. Eva Cassidy is much better known in the UK and Europe than she is here, and all of that fame came after she passed away, I think. She did have a way of making something fresh and meaningful out of the old things that you\'ve heard 1000 times before, to listen to her sing them makes them sound new. And I like Danny Boy, anyway.

I had kind of a lazy day today, didn\'t get much done that was useful, but I\'m tired anyway. I\'m off to read for a while. Y\'all take care.

Nice pic on CAM 5, Mark Westgate. So many rocks, that\'s going to send the rock fanciers on here into fits of covetousness. Thanks, good shot.

And yesterday we had one of Eamon\'s beautiful Mayo sky pictures. Thanks, Eamon, the colors were delicious.

Mies, I\'ve got a shed that needs painting, in case you and Caleb haven\'t had enough of that when you\'ve finished there. It\'s better to schedule outside painting in the wintertime here, you keep getting rained out if you try to paint in the summer.

Some soft cleeks for the evening. That\'s a beautiful voice. Thanks, Webbie. Special song, that Danny Boy...

I\'m back from my parents and had a nice day again. Brought back a lot of blueberries that my father picked in the forest. Futhermore lots of mushrooms (Boletus, Chanterelle). He says they grow like hell this year. Good times for animals in nature. Bad times for me as I have to treat both, the berries and the mushrooms. So, busy day tomorrow.

Mr Mies, where did you hide Mies? Did you bring her back? Nice to hear you had a good tournament. Robert didn\'t catch one single fish during our holidays. Good thing with your lost weight and less blood pressure. So, don\'t overwork on the part\'s counter.
