Hello chaps

I always thought nicking was a Brit word for stealing - seems I was wrong.

Love the pic on 5, reminds of those long ago days working with the Norwest crew putting the telephone wires underground, great slide show too.

Tech boys came in yesterday to make \'improvements\' to the system. Gordon Bennett why don\'t they leave things along.

Reding a great book by the bloke, can\'t remember his name, who wrote Band of Brothers.

Crazy Horse and Custer, historical drama at its best, can almost smell the buffalo and hear the pounding of the ponies\' hooves.

Bloody times on the plains.

Why didn't someone pay the ransom.........same old. same old I suppose.#]#

The recent Moynalty Steam Threshing Festival provided the venue for some of the pix supplied by S O Muiri and L O Muiri. The emphasis in this little movie following was not on the "steam" aspect but if you search youtube earlier years you will find plenty of that and some.

Some roast pork coming up too.

He-He Annette, now that your stuck to your keyboard I don\'t have to worry about you nicking my rock.

Good one Pat, Why didn\'t I think of that? I should\'ve put the key in his sandwich. He\'d never know.... I like the drawing you sent us of my Elk Rock with the grasses around it. Thank you...Maybe adding some larger pieces of driftwood, which I have collected from various places, would look nice with it? You are very talented. Have you ever used one of the graphic tablets that you hook on the computer?

That is a cool photo on cam 5..I like the smoke around those very well used pots....You\'re right Liz, you can almost smell the wood burning and also hear it crackling too..Thanks, L. O\'Muiri...

I better go give Mr. M a hand as he is working on the shed after work, and we\'re burning daylight as the saying goes

Annette is harmless now, anyway, she\'s stuck to her keyboard. Hehehehehe.

Good Morning, Liz. Thanks, I\'m all well, now. You can\'t keep a good woman down. That\'s a song, isn\'t it? No, wait, that one is about keeping a good man down. Close enough.

Awwww, I love CAM 5 today, L. O\'Muiri. I can smell the coffee. Those cast iron cooking pots are wonderful, nothing cooks like they do. Cowboy coffee in the morning outdoors...there\'s nothing better. That\'s when you just dump the coffee grounds right in with the boiling water, none of those sissy little baskets to put the coffee in, and when you get to the bottom of your mug, you just spit out the grounds that are there. Ptooooie! Ptoooooie! That\'s real cowboy stuff.

\"Oh, give me a home

Where the buffalo roam,

And the deer and the antelope play...\"

Bye.

Ah Liz, I got my eye on ya. I have chained the rock to my deck, swallowed the key to the lock to make sure it\'s safe....hmmmm, I wonder if that was a smart thing to do???

Glad you\'re better Pat. Webbie does seem to be missing. At his age you wouldn\'t think he\'d have so much stamina. Erica must really be good...Sorry Liz, plug your ears.

Actually, I\'m much better this morning, probably about 98%, and no fever. But don\'t tell Webbie.

Thank goodness that I am not a probable suspect in any rock heist that might happen. I have my faults, but I am not a known rockinista.

The Tall Ships are in Belfast today. 500,000 people expected to see them by the end of the weekend. I\'d love to see them. By the way, does anybody know how the private group that is collecting money to raise the Asgard II is doing? I hope they succeed, I truly loved that ship, and would be happy to see her sail again.

I\'ve got work to do today, Y\'all be good.

Mornin\'...

I\'m hanging on to life by a mere thread this morning, after the ordeal at the wall. Hope you aren\'t too bad off, Mies.

Dreary day in Dublin, it looks like on the CAMS. 3 & 4 won\'t come in at all, for me. I suspect that instead of watching the CAMs as he ought, that Webbie is off again up to the Pro. Erica, the Swedish tourist, has charms and some winning ways that we can\'t mention on this GB, no matter how angelic Liz thinks our Webbie is.

Now that you ask, my legs are weak from standing for so long a time. I am sure I will need intense physical therapy to bring the life back into them.... Damn Erica, wonder how she kept his interest for so long? wink, wink...You and I will have to pray for HIS soul...Where\'s Father O\' when ya really need him anyway?

Have a good rest Pat and I hope you don\'t have nightmares over the ordeal

Went off to check e-mails, then had to pop back in to look at that beautiful mule deer again before I go to bed, Mies.

Yes, that session in the cold and rain by the wall is probably what did it. Webbie was probably talking with that Erica, the Swedish Tourist up at the Pro Cathedral instead of praying for our souls anyhow. I\'ve been racked with excruciating pain and fever all day, how are you feeling?

I\'ve got to drag myself off to bed, now, I hope I live to see the morning light.

Sorry about your sore throat Pat. Did you catch your death when Webbie made us stand against that wall?! It was so cold and rainy. I think he forgot about us as we stood there for hours without water or food. He probably was at church praying for our souls...Right?...

I like the sea grass idea. Actually we kinda need suggestions as it was an impulse buy...One of those things that you like and think you\'ll find somewhere for it..Take care of that throat and enjoy your book...

I\'ve been home all day with a sore throat and a fever, but I feel better already this evening, I am a tough cookie, I\'ll be good as new tomorrow.

Eamon, I\'m reading the book you recommended, the O\'Flynn \"There Is An Isle\", and you are right, it is much better than \"Angela\'s Ashes\", has the history of the place and the people, and some old poetry and stories woven in, which to me makes a much better book than the other. I don\'t think I could have read another word of McCourt telling how horrible it was for him and his little siblings. Poor is one thing, not so nice but not so awful, either...depraved and cruel is another.

I\'m off to bed with a cup of hot chocolate to read some more for a while, and get to sleep early.

Y\'all be good.

That is one gorgeous rock etching, Mieses. The colors of the stone are truly beautiful, and the drawing is very nice. Where will you put it to show it off properly? You could raise it up on a concrete plinth, and ring that around with smaller rocks, then plant ornamental grasses below it. However, you probably got some good ideas for it at the rock sales place, that place is knockout.

I guess it was Liz\'s fault as she told me & all wimmin with rocks (in head?) to stand up. The problem was I can\'t type and stand or chew gum all at the same time

Annette, just think how much money you paid for that yellow chin. Your Dentist should\'ve at least sent you a birthday card! A BIG ONE! \"Shiftless, lazy and lethargic\", sounds like the day after a wine induced good time...Been there, done that, bought the shirt.

Hands off my rocks, young lady!
