Liz, I hope Reghan is OK soon. I will pray, you know I will. Tell her we all want her to be better very quickly. and give her a kiss from me.

The McSherry of McSherrystown was a Patrick, who arrived in America in the 1700\'s. That\'s all I know at the moment.

Typical stupid illegal gun owner, Mies. Too bad laws don\'t help the situation...the bad guys will have guns whether it\'s illegal or not.

Nice pic on CAM 5, Dermot. Very colorful. There is a town called McSherrystown in Pennsylvania between Hanover, where I was born, and Gettysburg. I think there may have been an Irish family named McSherry there in the early 1700\'s, or it may have been the Irish home of the Lilly family who were very early settlers. Any McSherrys or Lillys in Cork?

I\'ll have to find out the origin of the town name.

My great great granddaddy Sam Brady was the miller at Lilly Mills ( a grain mill)there for many years before he moved his family up to the mountains and established his own sawmill. I guess if you know how to harness water power, you can grind wheat or saw wood, whichever you want, and the mountain streams run fast for plenty of power.

Gotta go, Y\'all Take Care.

A little more insite on the gun incident. The man selling the gun had a couple of arrests for domestic violence & by law is not allowed to own a gun. They found 4 more guns in his house. The would be purchaser was also a convicted felon, he was showing how the gun worked with one of his own & shot through his hand into the others thigh. So both will be going to jail when they get out of the hospital. Oh yeah alcohol was involved, but we kind of knew that already.

Hello all! Well my folks just left to head back home. They came up for the day for a visit. The weather has been nice since that last storm, and I have posted the video\'s on YOU Tube. Check them out.

Pat, I\'m glad that the storm did not hit you. It look like it was going to soak everything. Mies, I think your neighbors, were in a stupid state. Guns are dangerous even new ones. I am sorry for your daughter Debbie. I hope she does fine at the triathlon. I think it is more important to think about that she wasn\'t injured for her bike. She is fine, just her sense of humanity is broken. Maybe he will break his legs from riding it?

Well off for now, Pat, I hope the kids will stay home if they are sick, but that means parents would have to take care of them, and that means giving them love.

Love and Hugs,

Steph

Hello chaps.

From a very frazzled micilin.

Mies - I\'ve got that JC LP and his Indian LP with Talking Leaves and the ballad of Ira Hayes also gunfighter and western songs by legends such as Frankie Laine and Marty Robbins, heck I\'ve even got a John Wayne LP.

Finished that book about Custer and Crazy Horse. Custer it seems went out in a blaze of glory with a laugh on his lips.

Crazy Horse was murdered by soldiers with his arms pinned at his sides by his own people.

Holy Mackerel. What is that exotic bird on CAM 5??!!! Is it some kind of weird chicken? Beautiful shot, Mark Westgate.

I am lifting the hurricane watch for my area. Ana has dissippated, (disippated? dissipated?), never mind, weakened, and Bill is more likely headed for Bermuda than the Gulf of Mexico. The NorthEast Coast Yankees will have to worry.

I suppose Treasa is recovering from her many house guests, she does have lots of them. I hope she\'s OK, it seems to be flu season here already, my Lauren is under the weather at the moment.

Steph, you need to be careful when you go back to work...the schoolkids here have a lot of flu they are passing around, and I suppose that will be true in Wyoming, too.

Gotta go. Be good.

Pat, hurricane season again. We\'ll have to keep an eye on your weather. Hope the hurricane gods will be good to you.

Liz, I think you will look grand in a hat and red is a good color for you. Enjoy yourself.

Off to find my J C cds. A couple of my favorites are his \"The True West\" & B\"itter Tears\" cds. \"STAMPEDE!

Good for your Debbie, Mieses. That means she was better than almost half the people there, WITH having an unfamiliar bike. Good going to all of you on the new shed. That\'s fast work!

Liz, we have the Red Hats here. There are always a couple of tables of 8 of them at the Watermelon Festival Luncheon and Fashion Show. They don\'t bother with any charitable works or anything like that...they meet just to have fun. I think they look great in their red hats and purple dresses. Someday I\'ll have enough time to join them. My friend down the street,Rhea Miller, is a member.

Nice Johnny Cash video, Mark Westgate and Webbie. A legend. Thank you.

I\'m off to start my work week, and keeping check on hurricane weather coming later in the week.

Y\'all Take Care.

Hey thanks Mark Westlake and Webbie. Makes me want to get out my Johnny Cash cds.

Debbie finished her triathlon 47th out of 100 participents. She is new to them, and is getting better with each one she does. She said she did fine on her new bike considering she only had about 10 minutes to get used to it.

Our neighborhood had a bit of excitement this evening. We had abulances, firetrucks and police cars all flashing like crazy about 5 houses up the street from us. I guess a guy was showing his friend his new gun. Apparently it accidentally went off, the bullet going through the hand of one and the thigh of the other. Does anyone want to take bets that alcohol was involved? Dumb fools...

Hi Ho Hi Ho, off to bed I go...

The weather held today, the shed is pretty much done. I still have a window to frame & finish the porch roof. Then install the door & it\'s done. We got the roofing done about 7:30 tonight. Caleb is a pretty good roofer for never doing it before. The good news, I\'ve only got one smashed thumb.

Awwww, Mies. That\'s too bad about Debbie\'s bike. I hope that guy\'s caught. That\'s pretty nervy, in broad daylight and using cutters. Jeez.

Apalachicola and Panama City west of me had a tropical storm pass through today, I was working outside up until 4 PM, then it began to rain, I guess the edge of the storm clpped this area. Wasn\'t bad, though. There are a couple of worse storms headed this way later in the week...I\'ll have to pay attention to them.

Loved the cow picture, Annette. Amazing that they just wander around. Cow tipping would be a funny thing to do, if you could do it and it didn\'t hurt the cow. I wonder if you could tip elephants. I can tip Ms Cat, but I only ever do it on the bed to make her lie down and quit stomping around. She likes it, I think. Try it on Pepe, Mar.

Gotta go. Y\'all be good.

Hello everyone, I\'m so tired after the busy weekend (cooking and cleaning, washing and ironing clothes, laying on the beach, having \"tapas\" with friends, playing with Pepe, and specially, sweating and trying to breathe under the burning sun, it\'s soooo hot here!!!). Again, I didn\'t have time to sit in front of the computer... I hope I\'ll have time soon, we\'ll see. I hope you\'re all ok and enjoying. Mies, I read the sad story about your daughter\'s bike, too bad, it happens constantly here in Barcelona, I know people who only buy really cheap and old second hand bikes, because they\'re sure their bikes are going to be stolen sooner or later, amazing... I hope your daughter\'s bike won\'t be stolen again, we\'ll see...

Off to sleep now, take care and have a great week, hugs and kisses for everyone!

It\'s just frustrating and sad. The bike meant a lot to her and nothing to the creep that took it except something to sell for drugs. Grrrrrrrrr....

I hope he burns in H E double L!!!....OOPS, sorry Father O\', didn\'t mean to say that, especially on Sunday...

Hey ya all, thanks for listening

A couple of months ago she bought a new, lighter, very expensive bike for the events at REI (outdoor gear).

Her and hubby (Scott) decided to ride bikes to REI to see what else she needed for today\'s event. They securely locked their bikes at the designated bike rack next to the store, a busy area with lots of people walking in and out of store & also in broad daylight.

Yes, when she came out of the store her bike was gone. The store ran their surveillance camera and there was the thief with cutters and walking away with bike. Nobody seemed to care. She was heartbroken and sick watching it happen. She also had to buy a new bike at REI as she needed one for the marathon. She won\'t have time to get used to it or break it in so that is not good.
