Mr.Mies, sorry to hear you found such an unorganized store, did you manage to put some order in it? Enjoy your three-day weekend, so you have so much to do! I hope at least Mies and yourself will have time to have a Guinness… or two… Too bad about your weather, I hope it’ll improve soon Great to know the 5 year-old boy will be cured soon, I hope all these cougars there won’t attack anyone anymore…

I hope your stormy weather has improved now… Poor Mrs.Cat, I hope she does NOT have Alzheimer, but only a contradictory character due to her old age, keep us informed, please!

Liz, great to know you had some rain, I’m sure you needed it Do you let your bear inside your house? Do you have a bear? How\'s Regahn now? And Sean? And your son and daughters?

Hello everyone, it’s been a lovely beach day today in Barcelona, finally! After several cloudy and even rainy days… Summer came back today, how good! Apart from this, everything’s ok here, with no special news. I see you’ve been fighting over a Guinness beer lately, come on kids, don’t fight, of course the pint in the picture was a perfect one, but as Mr.Mies explained, there’s Guinness enough for everyone (except Patricia!!! ) everywhere… that’s one of the benefits of the new “global world”, right?

We had a 5 year old boy attacked by a cougar on Wed., while hiking with his parents, in the northeast part of the state. He had head wounds & will be OK, he was saved by his mother beating the cougar with her water bottle. Then in Seattle a cougar was sighted in Discovery Park, a large park in a very populated area. Last night Fish & Wildlife agents captured a 2 1/2 year old male cougar there. Discovery Park used to be Ft. Lawton, an army base, it\'s where our daughter was born when I was in the Navy.

Nice picture on CAM5. Thanks Mark & Webbie

The shed is done, my part at least. Mies has some painting left. Now all I have to do is wait for her next project.

It started raining last night & has cooled of. I think fall is here it just has that feel. I went grouse hunting Wed. & it\'s only 2 weeks until our trip to Montana. Where did summer go:?

I know what you mean, Liz, some cats make us stand around waiting for them to decide what it is they want to do. Some are just nice and gentle, walk softly and sleep a lot, but Ms Cat has always been a loud, rowdy, boisterous, willful critter, stomps around trying to run the house and everyone in it, though she has slowed down a little in the last year or so.

Annette, you are right, and I had that in mind too, that she might not be feeling well, that\'s why I was watching her so closely yesterday morning. Changes in behavior can sometimes tell us if something is not well with pets. However, she is still eating and drinking wery well and is very annoyed if her bowl is not filled quickly enough at mealtimes, has no fever, I\'ve checked each paw and leg and everywhere for places that might hurt...nothing. She doesn\'t like me to look at her teeth, so I will wait until my daughter helps me with that as it will be a battle. She goes to the vet soon for check-up and booster shots, etc. but her behavior doesn\'t indicate any physical problems, which is why I think it\'s mental. It looks like early Alzheimers to me.

Actually, that might be an improvement in her personality.

Y\'all have a good day.

Mornin\'...

Lovely shot on CAM 5 today, Mark Westlake. So peaceful, the water is absolutely still and the reflections are quite perfect.

I enjoyed seeing that one. Thank you.

Webbie, there are no new cleeks on here! Bummer!

Mr Mies, I had a look at some Dave Matthews videos on youtube. Great music. Debbie will have much fun. You did a very good job with your shed. Of course, Mies and Caleb, too. Now I know who I can hire when we need a new carport.

Liz, we were in need of rain. It was so dry and dusty here after some weeks of sunshine. But, yes, I have a nice suntan though I try to avoid getting sunburnt.

Have a nice Sunday all.

Hello everybody, I couldn\'t come back yesterday after my first post. Mr A besieged my laptop for some hours when he saw Webbie\'s cleeks. Webbie, he thanks you for Chuck Berry, Clapton, Stanley Jordan and Louis Stewart. He surfed through some of their other videos and couldn\'t break away from them.

Pat, perhaps Ms Cat is really ill. Unfortunately, our pets can\'t tell us what\'s wrong with them. This would make some things a lot easier.

Mornin\'...

Coincidence you mentioned you are dog sitting an elderly one for your Debbie, Mieses. I\'ve been studying Ms Cat\'s behavior closely this morning, and I am convinced she has Alzeheimers. She\'s elderly, too, over 16. She\'s been a little strange for several months, will ask to go outside, than when I open the door for her, she won\'t bound through it as she has always done, and I have to pick her up and put her out. Same thing when she sits outside, yowling to come in, and I open the door and she just sits. She ordinarily justs tears in or out, swearing at me all the time for not being fast enough to open the door. Now she looks like she doesn\'t know what it was she wanted to do.

Now I see that instead of thundering through the house to get somewhere, she\'ll start out on a run, and then slow up and sit down and look confused, like she forgot where she was going.

I\'m telling you, this cat has Alzheimers. It\'s OK, I\'ll take care of her, but I do miss the swearing, it was kind of colorful.

I\'m off to have my lunch. Y\'all have a nice weekend.

Good Morning, at least it is here. The start of a 3 day weekend, Labor Day, & Mies has lots for me to do. I\'ve got to finish the shelves & pegboard walls in the shed, put up the supports on the little porch roof. Then she can finish the floor. All this before the weather changes tonight.

Mies & Caleb are dog sitting for one of Debbies dogs, Ginger. She getting old & has several health issues so they couldn\'t take her with them this weekend. Her & her husband have tickets to all 3 Dave Matthews concerts at The Gorge, an outdoor amphitheater on the banks of the Columbia River gorge.

We had very nice weather over the last weeks. That was one of the reasons why I wasn\'t on here. It was warm, sunny and just beautiful outside (Sorry, Mick. I couldn\'t send the sunshine to you.). And I didn\'t want to sit inside after work while the sun was shining. We enjoyed the warm evenings in the garden, went off for some bicycle tours or just had a chat with the neighbours over the garden fence. It would be okay with me when the weather doesn\'t change. But, yesterday, we got a little rain and today it\'s a bit windy. The forecasters say the sun will come back next week and I hope so...

I\'m out to have a look for Webbie\'s cleeks this week. Back later.

Hello everyone, I\'m back after a very busy week. I couldn\'t come on here as there were too many things going on around our place. I saw it was pretty quiet on the GB. But Pat, Liz and Mr Mies held the fort. Though, Mr Mies was busy, too. He was just able to write 15 words in 45 minutes. Phew, that\'s worse than here around. Poor old chap. hehehe

Mr Mies, tell your boss you will run the store with a better organisation when he pays you a neat amount of money.

Pat, I must admit, I like \'horse piss\'. But just the draft Guinness in our Irish pubs. I don\'t like the beer from bottles or tins much.

Mornin\'...

Hah, there you are, Zardoz. Might have known the sight of a glass of Guinness would bring you to the surface. How are you, anyway?

I\'m not much of a beer drinker at all, but I do enjoy a bottle of Miller\'s Lite with steamed crabs outdoors in the summer, right out of the bottle, so I\'m not an entire sissy.

However, and here comes heresy from the lady who admires almost all things Irish, and at the risk of being barred from this GB forever, and tarred and feathered besides...Guinness is horse piss.

To be sure, I wasn\'t brought up on it, and haven\'t had it draft in Ireland, but one taste of what comes out for export here convinced me. So, I won\'t join in the fight for that one on CAM 5 today, and may God have mercy on my soul. I\'m as good as dead. Hehehehehe.

Bye.

Pat
