Glad you have almost licked the dog/skunk problem. Strangely, skunks are not nearly so common in Florida as in most other places, but we are overrun with armadillos, they are always getting hit by cars at night, don\'t seem to have any smarts at all about getting out of the way.

Nice cleek, Webbie. I don\'t know that \"Chris DeBurgh\", is it? French, is he? Damn romantic, those Frenchmen. We have one here, who every time he sees me tells me I am so beautiful, I must come to his restaurant. Hmmmm. They\'re crafty, too.

Mornin\'...

We\'ve got a rainy day here too, Guys. I hope it clears by late afternoon, I want to go see Erin play softball in Thomasville.

I love cowboys, Phillis, we\'ve got some here, too. They take great delight in lying to you, to see how much of their tall tales you\'ll believe. We\'ve got a few herds of Texas Longhorns, feriocious buggers, but mostly Brahmin crosses, they stand the heat well.

Google up \"Bone Mizell\", a legendary Florida Cracker cowboy. Wonderful stories.

Cowboys? Yes...the real kind. With horses and ropes and wrangling cattle. We live in a rural area where cows and oil reign supreme. Not as elegant as the movies would portray. In truth, most people around here spend more money on their barn than their house!

Speaking of houses, mine is somewhat back to normal. Occassionally a whiff of skunk comes through, but for the most part we are basically de-skunked. Tomato Juice works wonders...

So grateful for the welcomes.

Now then Jack don\'t throw your dummy out of the pram.

Wotcha mean Crocodile Dundee\'s not real, course he is, I saw him on the telly at the weekend.

Hello Phillis old gel and welcome to the GB.

I don\'t suppose your related to any cowboys by any chance.

Annette - Lovely sunshine on Sat, but downhill since then with a chill wind from the east.

Liz, you are up very early today. It\'s nice you had a great day with your daughter. Please, don\'t forget me when you send some photos round. And don\'t let the 2 Jacks get you down.

I will try to read back a bit and perhaps answer some mails. There are dozens of them in my mail box.

To all I missed.

Hello Phillis from Texas. Welcome in our round on the GB. I\'m pretty fine though it\'s raining cats and dogs here and I hate it right now. We were waiting for rain after a long period of sunshine and heat. But, now, enough is enough. Funny story with your dog. Anyway for us who don\'t have to clean their houses. hehehehe

Mick, I always tried to send some sunshine to you but it didn\'t want to leave us. So, I had to keep it myself. But some days ago we got the first rain. That means you must have our sunshine now. I hope for you.

Hello everyone, it was pretty quiet here the last days. But I can\'t complain. I wasn\'t here either. Franka is still here and that means that I share my already rare spare time with her. We were in a town near here last Saturday to visit a concert and also had a nice afternoon. \'Shopping for girls\' you know... hehehehe

If you\'re referring to me as the \"lady from Texas\", I\'m still here! (although I saw one other who was from Texas)Just been off-line a bit. Busy with weekend football and migraine headaches from the weather changes (ugh). Dog was sprayed by skunk. Not only washing dog, but anything else I can stick in the laundry as the dog ran through the house before I realized what had happened!

And how is everyone else?

Hello chaps

I say you Jack jokers, you are a pair of rotters picking on Liz.

Have you no shame - Crocodile Dundee would never behave like that to a lady.

Maybe someone should teach you some manners with a good old fashioned punch up the throat.

And as for shooting cats in cages - hardly sporting old fellows is it?

What\'s happened to the lady from Texas?
