Forgot the silly camera for the rodeo. Big shame as granddaughter was in the calf scramble. Have photos of the parade and the Sunday redneck BBQ, where I had my first taste of real moonshine. Although great-grandfather was a moonshiner, my family were less than teetotalers! Great weather for the motorbikes...

Wish I knew more of rugby and hurling...as it is our Dallas Cowboys football team lost last night (again). Loyal fans keep cheering tho.

I just read on Cnn that they recaptured the escapted killer that walked away from a supervised trip to our local county fair. His was convicted of a killing in 1987 & found guilty by reason of insanity. he escaped in 1991 & knocked the deputy who captured him unconscious. Our genius local authoritys had him dressed in civilian clothes, gave him $50.00 cash & didn\'t report him missing for 2 hours. They\'ll probably get pay raises & a medal.

Liz-This part of Montana is beef country (and a few Moose)

We got here this afternoon about 4pm. It\'s been in the high 50\'s & low 60\'sF all day with scattered rain showers. We were in construction most of the way up the river, long waits, pilot cars & long strings of slow traffic. The scenery was magnificent as always, but my patience wore thin after following the same 3 motor homes @ 30 & 40 MPH in a 60 zone for miles.

Steph-The Lewis & Clark Trail is along the same rivers & trails Lewis & Clark took in 1805 on their way to the Pacific.

Mieses, is that the same trail that people hike? Actually I think I am thinking about the continental divide trail that starts in New Mexico and ends in Oregon? Great shot Liz on cam 5.

Steph.

Cam 5 reminds me of a dear friend we had here. May she rest in peace. I do think of her often, and her family.

Nice shot on CAM 5, Liz. Beautiful place.

Thank you both, S. O\'Muiri and Treasa, for the scores. It must have been a very important game, O\'Shea\'s sidewalk was more crowded than I\'ve seen it before, I think.

Treasa, what an amazing story about your new cousin, after all these years! I suppose that was how they handled those things back then, but they did happen then as well as now, all of us being only human, and there is a great cruelty in separating a mother and child. It is good to live in a time when society doesn\'t make that necessary. Maybe the world is getting a little better, after all. How sad, though, that he didn\'t find your aunt before she passed away.

Another week coming up, tomorrow\'s Monday. Y\'all have a good one.

Geez, I\'m up late. Hey Patricia, Kerry won the All Ireland Final. They beat Cork by 4 points. It was nail-biting stuff, and a cracking game. Not over until the final whistle. \'The Boss\' is well pleased......

Mr. Mies, I hope ye have a great holiday. Take care and have fun.....

I\'ve had a very busy weekend with lots of visitors and lots of cooking.....

Geez, I could write a book on my life..... Would you believe we have had a lovely gentleman come into our lives, (out of the blue), with documentation which points to the fact that his biological mother was our spinster aunt (now deceased).

We would never have dreamed that she had secretely given birth to a son nearly 60 years ago. We are still trying to find proof.. but his documentation is fairly convincing. He is a gentleman and seems very genuine, and now seems to be our new cousin.

Off to sleep with me, stay safe you all, and catch you later.

Eamon, that staghorn tree is probably a relative of what we have here called \"sumac\". There are several varieties, one of which often causes a rash like poison ivy or poison oak, if you touch the leaves. At least one variety is called \"Staghorn Sumac\". I\'ve seen our sumac turn red/orange/burgundy like that in the Fall. Sometimes a bush, sometimes a small tree, but the very same opposite leaf pattern along a central stem, all of which drops off in the Fall. The leaves here are not showing Fall color yet, we don\'t get much of that in Florida, anyway, it takes a good frost to help that along, but the color display should be at it\'s peak late next month in the Northern States.

Nice shot on CAM 5, Eamon. We have a \"staghorn fern, but not a \"staghorn tree\". The colors are almost the same as the colors the crowds are wearing in front of O\'Shea\'s. Is everything in Ireland red and green today?

Holy Mackerel, it is so crowded at O\'Shea\'s corner that people are having to walk in the street to get by. Who won the match, I wonder?

Y\'all Take Care.

Whatho chaps

Cracking day here (Sunday) lots of sunshine with a soft warm breeze from the west.

Hey Texas - Gone to the rodeo, spiffing fun I wager.

Mieses in a B&B overlooking the Lewis/Clarke trail, cor blimey I\'m one jealous limey.

Not much happening at the cutting edge of local journalism.

We\'re in the muck with the old bill for publishing an anti-police story and a former councillor is suing us for libel, but hey what the heck worse things happen at sea.

Beef stew and dumplings for lunch with a coupla beers followed by a snooze before I take the dawgs out.

Liz-No BBQ until Mies & I get home sometime mid-week. We\'re off to get some Hot Wings & Golden Grizzly\'s. Although there is an ice cream parlor in Missoula that is selling Cold Smoke Scottish Ale flavored ice cream & it\'s only a block or 2 from where I buy accessorys for our big truck. I might have to try it, like Guinness & milk. Frozen
