Phillis-Sweet Vidalias & Walla Walla Sweets are about the same onion just from different parts of the country. Walla Walla\'s don\'t keep very well so the window is very limited. My older brother would eat them like an apple.

Tomorrow is our companys Birds, Bucks & Bass promotion, I\'m cooking sausage & eggs for everyone from 8am until 11am if anyone wants breakfast. We have an Elk Hunting camp set up in our showroom & will be cooking camp style. I should have Jason here to make Blackberry Cobbler in a dutch oven.

Good morning to my international fence friends! Mr Mies, i want to come live in your neighborhood. It sounds as though you have great fun.

Last night was the 13 year old grandson\'s first basketball game of the season. Played their big rival and soundly stomped them. He made a flying shot the last 4 seconds of the game. Don\'t know who was more surprised that he made the basket...him or the audience!

Swine flu has already started in our county. Not looking forward to the winter when everyone is so closed up.

Good health to you all.

Pat-Tough recipe for the tomatoes. You slice them thick, crush some garlic over them, pour on some EVOO & salt & peppr. The only rule is if 1 person eats them everyone has to. I also sliced cucumbers & Walla Walla Sweet Onions with vinegar & salt & pepper. Mies is freezing lots of tomatoes & peppers today.

Whatho yourself, Micilin. Hate the new editorial system? I would like to remind you that the older we get, the less we like change. And now that I\'ve insulted you, \"Have a nice day\". Hehehehehe.

What\'s the recipe for tomatoes and olive oil, etc. Mr. Mies? Sliced, cubed, grilled? You know what the song says, \"There ain\'t nothin\' in the world that money can\'t buy, \'cept true love and home-grown tomaters\". That\'s good of your neighbor to give you some. Annette, my second round of planted tomatoes is doing well, no blossoms yet, though.

I\'ve got a busy week, too many projects including a rummage sale by my community group on Saturday at the old store. They are a lot of work, but we always make lots of money when we do them.

Y\'all be good and have a great week.

Whatho chaps.

Pleased you liked the pic.

I was on my way to the pub when I spied the pile of old iron. Seemed sort of sad in a way.

Mar - Blimey girl, I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again, you can\'t half rabbit.

Yo Colorado - Be careful with those invites, you never know who might come knocking at your door - especially if you\'re gonna start banging on about views of the mountains.

No frost here yet, but the nights are getting chilly willy and the woods are looking and smelling decidedly autumnal.

Pow wow with the big chief on Friday about a new editorial system they are bringing in.

Definitely needed a lie down in a dark room after that.

Roll on retirement.

Nice picture today on CAM5 Thanks Mick

Mar-So glad you were able to get around on your knee today

Liz-Maybe BBQ pork next weekend, who knows.

Annette-The Batman pole caught 3 or 4 fish, but nothing on the pink(sorry Mar) Barbie.

I got all the tournament equipment, scale, fish bags, weigh boxes, pumps etc. cleaned & put away today, We won\'t need them again until May.

Friends from our bowling league are leaving for a few days & offered us 20# of tomatoes (or more), plus cucumbers, peppers, beets, & squash. I made tomato slices with crushed garlic & extra virgin olive oil for dinner tonight. That was my Dad\'s favorite way to fix them.

Hello everyone, we had such a nice and sunny weekend - I couldn\'t keep myself in the house and at the computer. Garden work, a bicycle trip, BBQ with the neighbours... you have to use all the opportunities that you get as I don\'t know what weather we will get.

Hello Mar, my dear. I owe you a mail. I will have a day off next Wednesday and promise to use it for writing mails.

Mieses, your benefit weekend sounds great. Did the Barbie and Batman poles attract any fish?

Webbie, thanks for the cleeks. Some are pretty old and I can\'t barely remember.

Pat, there\'s an old house here down the street where the birch trees already grow out of the roof gutters. Now I imagine your truckie with a tree on top... hehehehehe

Have a nice start into the new week all.

Phyllis, I’ve also been stuck to a novel lately, I’ve just finished “A world without end”, it’s not as good as “The pillars of the earth”, but it’s definitely good, I loved it. Now I expect to read “The men who didn’t love women” and the other two novels by Larsson, the whole trilogy, it’ll take a time… Congratulations to your grandson in his 4th birthday, so cute… You’re always welcome in Barcelona, I highly recommend it in spring I loved the quote you posted yesterday, sooo funny!!!

Patricia, neighbours in the back fence, I love that comparison, that’s a bit how I feel about you all, he, hee… Is the truckie clean enough now? Did you kill all the growing things in it?

Webbie, thank you for the cleeks (very nice) and specially for the marvellous photo in cam-5 today, my beloved Miss Liberty surrounded by fireworks, beautiful! (I\'m sure that Sue and Treasa understand me pretty well)

Liz, I saw the dust storm in Australia in the TV, I hope it’s not affecting you…

Mr.Mies, all these details you gave us about your weekend, wow, it’s sounds funny and great, have a good rest now, you deserve it!
