Eeeeew, earthworms?

They are different from our earthworms, you can\'t tell the front from the back of ours. Ours are bad enough, but the ones in the pic look like they have little snaky heads. Eeeeeew.

You\'re right, Mies, how did we get into these doldrums? I remember times of coming in to this GB and every time for days on end falling off my chair laughing. We just have to get one of our silly things going again. I\'ll see if I can\'t locate Madam Woo to cure something. Madam Woo is a great favorite with Annette.

Isn\'t it Olympic leaf jumping season? You can\'t ride to NC, you have to practice.

Bye. I have to drive to Monticello.

Hey there all..

Pat & Webbie, \'Do Wah Diddy Diddy Dum Diddy Do\' does bring back memories of GBer\'s & posting of the past. We were all very silly then...Not like we are now, all prime and proper...

Pink hair from a wet red hat? Well Liz, you DO love the color pink. Don\'t let Mar see you though. Mick, no drawers? Bad idea, a person could get arrested.

Steph, send all that snow to Phillis. I did not order snow this year so I am expecting a mild winter..RIIIIIGHT!!!!

Annette, the tomato relish is a HIT! Thanks for the recipe. Next time Jack, maybe I\'ll try jam, thanks for suggestion too.

Very pretty shot at Myrtle Beach on CAM 5, Dennis Cavanaugh.

Beautiful yellow light, almost as golden as Eamon\'s Mayo, Ireland light. I, myself, never see the dawn light, I figured out years ago that if you just watch a sunset, then you can run it backward in your mind and have the same thing without getting up so early. You\'re welcome. Hehehehehe.

Mornin\'...

Started out dull and rainy here this morning, but the sun has come out, and it\'s beautiful. I\'m like John Denver, sunshine makes me happy.

Thanks for the cleeks, Webbie. Mies, don\'t miss Do Wah Diddy Diddy Dum Diddy Do. Hehehehehe. You\'ll be set up for the day.

We have a few Tennessee Walking horses around here, Phillis. I\'ve only ridden one once, but they do go pretty. I remember going to a show in Lexington, Kentucky at least 30 years ago that was Tennesee Walkers only, I was so impressed I can see them in my mind with absolute clarity today.

Cont.

Do you know Paso Finos? Kind of the Spanish equivalent, only a little smaller. We have quite a few Pasos here, they are famous for being tested for smooth gaits by having the rider holding a full wine glass without spilling a drop. They are pretty little horses, too, I think they have a big strain of Arabian in them.

I\'ve got a busy day coming up, Y\'all have a good one.

Liz, don\'t wear your red hat in the rain. My friend, who is fair haired, had hers \"bleed\" into her hair after it rained. She walked around for a week with pink hair!

Still raining here. Steph, i\'m in the mood for Christmas. I could do with some of your snow.

Patricia, we have Tennessee Walkers. Their ride is much smoother than quarter horses, but they are not recommended for barrel races. Ours are colored like paint horses, either blk/whi or bro/whi. Big pets, they are.

Not much headway on the fence with all this rain. Cold front coming thru.

Wish I liked tomatoes, you guys make it sound good.

Now, Mike in Ca has my idea of good food...pancakes! Thank God for sugar free syrup!

Nice team of horses on CAM 5 today Dee Langevin. Thank You. My Grandad had a couple of teams of Belgians. I still remember the harnesses hanging in the tack room of our barn, but the horses were gone. They were having horse pulls at the county fair in Orofino, Idaho when we were there last month. Some of the guests from the B&B we wee staying at went, but Mies & I stayed & played pool instead. Now I wish we had gone.

OK, I\'m out of here. I\'ve got to catch up on all kinds of work I\'ve neglected over the last week when I\'ve been out working on the rummage sale. We made $500 for our civic group, and had fun. I bought a $15 record turntable with speakers so I can play my old records and put them on cassettes or CDs to play in the truckie. I haven\'t been able to play them since I gave away the console stereo so not to have to move it 1000 miles.

Y\'all stay well.

Mies, how did the tomato relish turn out? You got a recipe from Annette? I\'m sure it was good, Annette is a very good cook. Pass that recipe on, Tomato Woman.

Annette, I went shopping in Thomasville yesterday between soccer games, and bought 2 little dwarf Pampas Grass plants. It\'s cortaderia selloana \'Pumila\'. Do you have it there? We have lots of Pampas Grasses here, but not the dwarf.

Phillis, what kind of horses are you fencing? Cow ponies, cutting horses? Did you see the draft horses by Dee Langevin in Ontario on CAM 5? Beautiful critters, looked like maybe Belgians. Someone told me lately that there are pinto draft horses around, which I had never seen or even heard of, but I googled them and there they were...I wasn\'t too crazy about them, they just didn\'t look quite right, but they did look kind of like the Irish Traveler van draft horses.

Nice shot of the dogs, Liz. Yes, Labs are sweet dogs, but that one, as well as Eamon\'s, has a much softer, wavier coat than most labs here have. They are bred to retreive waterfowl, and have a short, straight, slick and very dense outer coat to keep them dry when they swim. They practically shed water. Nice dogs, great companions.

How\'s that little English Setter working, Mr. Mies? Susie has 2 Irish Setters they are working on quail this year at the plantation, she says they are good, and very funny. She says that one of them, named \"Mike\" is so sassy that if he points a covey, and the hunter shoots but misses, he turns around and gives the hunter hell for it, because he loves to retrieve. He shouldn\'t be allowed to do it, but it is so funny they can\'t scold him. I\'m pleased to see the Irish coming back as bird dogs, the breed has been ruined for years by being bred for beauty rather than hunting ability.

Mornin\'...

Hey, it looks like you are all doing fine, I\'m a new woman this morning...I went to bed about 10 last night and I was so tired I didn\'t even turn over until 7 this morning. It was a busy week with the rummage sale on Saturday, then Lauren\'s soccer league championship games in Thomasville Sunday. Unfortunately, they lost and are second in the ratings, but Lauren played very well. Lauren does NOT like to lose.

Are you snowed in yet, Steph? I looked at the Riverton CAMs and it is beautiful. I love the look of it when it first snows, so fresh and white...but I don\'t want to be in it any more.

Hello everyone, the weather is still very good here and I was out much over the weekend. We visited my parents yesterday and my mother spoiled us. I was so full of her meals that I wasn’t able to post yesterday evening. I rolled through the house…

Thanks for all the cleeks, Webbie. That M. Lombard is pretty good. Nice voice…

Mar, our busy bee. How was the ‘Air Race’? Did you enjoy it?

Mick, I hope you can recharge your batteries. The new working system will come – with or without you. So, take it easy.

Liz, cute dogs. They seem to like each other.

Hello Mieses, you can set up a pipeline when your relish is ready. Then I’ll open the tap here and try if it is good.

Later…
