Welcome back Annette, I\'m glad you had a good time & good weather. We\'re looking forward to pictures.

Bird hunting yesterday was great, the dogs worked great together & only had 1 little fight over a piece of smoked turkey. Pete won that one, but it really was his turkey in the first place. Tack, Carl\'s 2 yr old black Lab, is just coming into his own & has the makings of a great pheasant dog, while Pete is just a machine. Alan, the farmer where we hunt, has a 4 1/2 month old German Shorthair pup that\'s showing promise also. His 13 year old female Shorthair, just sat & pointed his clay pigeon thrower for most of the afternoon.

Hello everyone, I\'m back in the cold Germany after a week under the beautiful sun (around 25C / 77F) on the Isle of Malta. I came back yesterday but was soooooo tired... I need another week to relax.

I will let you know more about the trip tomorrow. I hope you are all well.

Have a great time Liz...Mr. M went bird hunting. Caleb is visiting a friend. I\'m spending time on our deck as it\'s a nice day. I was looking at our Chiminea and thought of a project for Mr. M so we could use it in the winter. We need to put piping to vent it out from underneath the deck roof and possibly add some glass behind it to keep heat in. Well sorta...It\'s in the planning stage still. Can\'t wait to tell him when he gets home from a relaxing hunt

I slept late this morning, and so far it\'s been a lazy day, which I haven\'t had many of lately, so I have been enjoying doing nothing.

However, there are things to do this afternoon, and I\'ve got to start.

Steph, I hope little Coco is doing alright. Let us know how that goes.

Y\'all Take Care.

Liz, I got curious about Mike Lester\'s pic on CAM 5 today, and looked up the site on Google.

What made me curious was the turreted separate bell tower, the campanile, which I think is not too often seen in old Irish churches, at least the ones I\'ve looked at, which is by no means a comprehensive list, but that is more an Italian and Mediterranean feature, and it made me curious, along with what you said about the gravestones.

From what I could find, the church building is from the early 1800s, but the bell tower is from the days of the Knights Templar in the 1100\'s, and there is one distinctive Templar grave slab there, and a known history of the site being a Templar medevial holding. At any rate, a lovely pic, Mike Lester. Thank you for sharing, and for the inspiration to bone up on my Church History. Ireland does very well in preserving and making available information about its ancient sites.

Mornin\'...

We got a little chilly here Friday night, temp lowest so far this winter, into the 50sF, and never hit 70F all day Saturday. Made a perfect sunny day for the wedding in Thomasville. Thomasville is called \"Rose City\", and roses were still in bloom all over town, which is quite a lovely town, anyway, with many pretty old houses. The Grandgirls were bridesmaids for their oldest cousin, I don\'t even dare to start on how beautiful and well-behaved they were, and even though Lauren kicked off her silver sandals at the reception because they gave her blisters and were interfering with her trips to the refreshment table, I was a very proud Meema. Lauren refreshed while Erin did her social butterfly bit, she was working that room like a regular movie star. So adorable. And the bride was lovely, too, by the way. Hehehehehe.

Yes, Mar we did have snow. I have a little left, and the tree leaves are all gray, and brown. No fall here. Should be okay this week with rainstorms and 50F weather.

Hey guys sounds like you are having alot of fun here. Phillis you\'ve been pooped on? It\'s not fun. Pat is right!

I\'ve been busy and I hate it. Anyways, Mr. Mies should I do that to my shed floor too? It is wood. Probably to late since it was built in 2003.

Coco has been sick this week, so I\'ve been babying her. Coco is my dog, just to let those who don\'t know, know. She is doing better, but will see coming Monday, I may take her back.

Anyways, take care all

Love and Hugs,

It\'s my day off and I can\'t sleep in. How frustrating. But plenty of sun today. Lots of fence building time. Least I won\'t be bored.

Liz, may I ask...how did a red head from Dublin end up in the land of Oz?

Hi all...

Liz, looked at cam 2 and I see what your saying. I remember when it was only two off us tying one end of the rope to anything available and a friend on the other end. It didn\'t work well all the time but that didn\'t stop us..

The news today is filled with that horrible story about the kids that set their schoolmate on fire over a bike and a video game. This is so disturbing. In my day kids solved things by a threat of a fist fight that usually ended up being broke up or never actually happening. Now you hear of things like this all the time. How did things get this out of control?

Today is suppose to get up to 62F so I am completing the last thing left to do in our new shed, the floor. Peel & stick tile. Sounds cheesy but will seal it for the winter.

Have a good day all

Mr Mies, I literally lol on your Mike Makoski story!

I shall take the high road and not comment on Mike\'s gender or hair color. But I hope his mile walk home was in the rain. Uphill both ways and in winter...teehee

One more lock out story. We were being evacuated due to wildfires earlier this year. Our old dog Mary was in the car. Yup, keys were in it of course. Electric locks. Mary\'s big paw...and well, you get the picture. We tried to convince her to let us in. Of all times for her to turn stupid. And yes, she is blonde. Coat hanger to the rescue.
