Thanks Webbie for my pic on POD today. It was a bit of a \"soft\" day on a visit to Oxford but that did not take away from some of the beautiful buildings in the City.

Thanks Webbie for posting my pic on POD. We are very fortunate to live near the coast looking West towards North Wales and the Irish Sea and we have some wonderful sunsets over the Dee and Mersey estuaries. The different colours can be spectacular.

Thanks G. Ni Muiri for the photo of the lambs. It is a great time of year just now with the fields in many parts of this part of the world full of spring lambs. Great scenes.

Hi Webbie. Thanks again for my photo today on POD.

This old mill is in a spectacular setting just outside Chipping Norton and is a large antique centre these days. With the town in the background it is a wonderful setting.

Thanks Webbie for posting my pic today on POD. Good to be back. Thanks Gi Ni M for your comment. Over the past couple of years a few fields of daffodils have appeared next to the main A55 - the road to and from Holyhead for those who travel that way - close by the steep hill. They provide a striking splash of colour which could easily be mistaken for a rape seed crop.

\"The Heron has landed\". Might be a movie there. The last winner of the English grand national paraded through Mullingar was \" Quare Times\". That was in 1955. It was ridden by Pat Taffe. His brother Thos. rode the second place horse. The horse owner Cecily Welman allegedly donated 30 pounds to each of the 52 public houses in the town for celebrations. This included the army barracks and the railway station bars. Also donated money for icecream in McCormicks, the Arcade, for children. The horse was trained by Vincent O Brien. Cecily Welman owned Gaybrook estate of approx 1000 acres.
