Glad you are home safely, Mar.

I\'m tired, too. I spent the afternoon cleaning out my storage shed, hard work, it gave me a headache, and I\'m going to bed early. Or maybe I got the headache from Phillis...did you send your headache to me, Phillis? That\'s not nice.

Bummer, I\'m off to take a couple of Advils.

Bye!

Ha, I love that Tokyo Tower on CAM 5 today, Douglas Forster. It looks like the offspring of the Eiffel Tower and a pagoda roof! Great. Thank you.

Hello everyone, I hope you\'re all starting a great week. I\'m tired after a tiring but funny weekend in a different town 3 hours driving from here (Zaragoza), I spent the weekend there with some friends and their lovely boys (7 and 4 years old, sooo funny!), and now I\'m tired but happy. I hope you\'re all happy too

Steph, I read something about Bruce being better, I truly hope he\'s improving faster and faster everyday

Everyone else, enjoy the week, take care and have all the fun you can, we\'ll talk longer soon. Hugs and kisses for everyone!

Phillis, Pat, I heard about Nora Roberts but never read a book of her. There must be a few of her in German here around. I\'m in the middle of a very good crime novel. And there\'s another one waiting on my desk. And some other books, too. I bought a lot when I was out for our \'Autumn Readings\'. And there are some more to come... Can\'t wait for the days off around Christmas to read them all.

Neat collection of cleeks, Webbie. That\'s always a joy to see Tina Turner. What a powerful woman.

Liz, you did it right. Enjoy the sun and the warm wind and the water. And when I\'m fed up with our cold weather I\'ll hibernate in Oz.

Hello everyone, storms swoosh around the house. Typical autumn storms. It\'s pretty warm for this time of the year but raining a lot. I was out between two rain showers to get some of my apples in the house. Our one and only apple tree had very much apples this year. They are delicious. It\'s a kind of apples that can remain on the tree until December and you can keep them in a cold place until February. The storm took a lot of them down... so much apple cake from the spotted apples in the next time.

Steph, I\'m so glad Bruce is doing better. And I\'ll keep my fingers crossed for your big test. You\'ll make it.

Mr Mies, I see you found your way home in that thick fog. Did you cut out a bit for Mies as a present to hide behind it? hehehe

Madam Woo, here.

So glad you are being sensible about your problem, Little Old Lady. The world will be a better place if you cease doing good works.

Sorry, the multicolored mohair yarn will not do,you must obtain a long length of that heavy rope that they use to tie up battleships with, the kind that will put rope burns on your neck if you struggle during treatment. Wrap it tightly around your neck several timres, and Madam Woo guarantees it will be effective.

By the way, do you have a knitting pattern for a nice, soft, fuzzy turtleneck sweater, Madam Woo covets one in tunic length for winter wear with jeans and some red patent leather clogs, and has been unsuccessful in finding either the right sweater or the clogs. Just send me the pattern, it\'s about time that y\'all repay Madam Woo for dispensing her sure-fire cures on this GB.

Hey, Steph. I\'m following Bruce\'s recovery on that website...I am glad he\'s doing well, and you take extra good care of yourself, too, Chickie. You will have a lot to do when he comes home.

Blue Monday, Phillis? Sorry about your headache. I have a friend who gets migraines. They\'re the pits.

I\'m off to check out the cleeks, Webbie. They look good. Also nice cottage on CAM 5, Mike Lester. Love the thatched roof, how nicely it\'s done, that is a real art, and it\'s a treat to see it. It looks like gray fur, so clipped and even. Thanks.

Mornin\'...

Grandgirls talked us into letting them have one last swim for the summer at the waterfall yesterday. Beautifully sunny day, and just over 80F, but they didn\'t stay in long, and looked just a little blue when they got out, and wrapped up in their towels pretty quick. Marks the end of summer, I guess.

That sounds like a good first time out for Molly, Mr. Mies. Totally amazing to see a critter doing what it was born to do, the knowledge is in it\'s genes. That always makes me think of race memory, I believe it exists in humans, and gives us a stronger emotional reaction about things similar to those experienced by our ancestors. Imprinted on the brain, maybe, like instincts. Not easy to explain, or scientifically provable, perhaps, but I couldn\'t be convinced by anyone that it isn\'t there. Miles and generations from Ireland, some Irish music could make me cry, even as a small child with no awareness of geography at all.

Go figure.

Charming cottage photo.

Pat: JD Robb and Nora Roberts are indeed one and the same. Robb writes blood and guts; Roberts writes love stories, of which I am not too fond. I enjoyed these (Born In...trilogy) because of the setting: County Clare.

Chilly northern wind blowing in Mountain Cedar. Has my head all messed up. But at least it\'s not snow!

It\'s p*nking Monday here with a migraine to boot.

Good news about Bruce. Luck on the test, Stephanie.

Wish my dogs were as good as the Mies\'!

Chuck & I took Molly, his 4 month old English Setter, out for her first hunt. She pointed 2 pheasants & did a great job. I can\'t wait until she\'s grown. She has a great nose, I guess breeding is everything. Her Mother & Father are both National Champion field trial dogs.

Hello all! I am getting back into the swing of things. Bruce is still at the University of Utah hospital, but doing much better.

Mieses, you keep the snow up there, I don\'t want any until Dec. 21, okay!

I hope everyone is still doing well, and that there isn\'t too much grief around. Well off to work again this week, big test for college on Friday, (4hr. test?) Yuck!

Little Old Lady here.

Madam Woo, Thank you for your interest in curing my extremely bad habit of helping the poor and homeless. I am well aware that if I had stayed home, and did more productive things like knitting in front of the TV watching Oprah, I would not have been in the way of the Speed Demon in the truckie...So sorry, My Bad....

Also, I don\'t seem to have rope just laying around the house. Would a nice multi-colored mohair yarn do?

Madam Woo, here.

To the little old lady run off the road by a perfectly nice person in a fast truckie...you must stop this dangerous activity of feeding the homeless.

Here is a cure, it could be permanent or at least, used every time you have the urge to do that it will stop you.

You must tie yourself to the refrigerator very tightly, wrapping the rope around your neck several times so that any struggling will cause you to choke, and you must stay there until the urge passes. If you choke to death, we have a permanent cure, but at any rate, you have avoided giving in to temptation for that day.

You\'re welcome. Madam Woo is always ready to do her bit to help mankind.
