Thanks for the cleeks, Webbie. Nice variety there too, something for everybody, Martina McBride to Montovani. Can\'t start seriously on my day without my cleeks, anymore, even if there aren\'t any, I have to go back and listen to some old ones.

I do not venture downtown or into the stores or malls on this day, Black Friday, so I\'ll be working at home all day.

Ya\'ll have a nice day, and a good weekend.

Bye!

Pat

It sounds like the Americans on this GB had a nice Thanksgiving. Wot, Mieses, no pumpkin pie??!!! Actually, I like sweet potato pie better, but that\'s cheating on Thanksgiving.

Annette, here\'s a new (to me, anyway) recipe for cranberries, so simple, too. Rinse and put a 12 ounce package of fresh cranberries in a 2 quart dish with 3/4 cuo of sugar and 1/4 cup of orange juice, cover with plastic wrap with a couple of holes poked in it with a fork, and microwave it for 7/10 minutes, stirring it a couple of times until the berries begin to pop. Delicious. You\'re welcome.

It will be warm enough this afternoon to go out and finish weeding under my oak. I got the hydrangeas in, but left the cleaning out in that garden unfinished.

Phillis, I thought your climate might be much like mine here, but from what you say, it seems it is colder. Do you ever get snow? Most of our winter days are in the high 60s and low 70s, except for 3 or 4 freezes at night, mostly in late December and January, and by late February and early March it is definitely Spring. I have a beautiful white camellia blooming right now, the blossoms that are open will get nipped if we get a frost tonight, but that doesn\'t bother the buds, they seem not to get damaged by cold.

Mornin\'...

Nice lighthouse on CAM 5, Mr. Mies. Isn\'t that the one where you had to walk 5 miles to get to it, and when she realized you had to walk 5 miles to get back, Mies threw one of her hissy fits? Hehehehehe.

Bright, sunny day here, a little cool,it will only get up to about 65F, but we may have a a frost before morning. Which means that I have to bring all tender plants in from the deck, which I always forget to do until 11 PM, and freeze my fanny off doing it. And always forget to bring in one of them, and lose it. Last year I forgot to bring in my beautiful Christmas Cactus...killed that outright. Bummer. I am going to buy another, p**k this time, which I like better than the peach.

I\'m impressed Mr. M; lovely photo of the lighthouse.

Jack, trust you\'re feeling better.

Happy Day-After Thanksgiving to you all. Hope your pants still fit. I\'m relieved to say I did not overeat. Worked in the morning, then dinner at my neighbors. The daughter and grandkids were visiting the other side of their family, so I had a rather easy day of it. Very little cooking. Burned the bread pudding as I fell asleep while it was in the oven...oh well. The pups enjoyed it.

Wouldn\'t have wanted to make the Mayflower trip, can you imagine the bravery it took to sail in those days?

Off to work again. Hugs to all and please be safe.

Hey, Mieses, that\'s a fabulous picture on the CAM today. Mr A would say a good picture composition. I will show him the picture this evening.

Have to hurry as I\'m already late for work. It starts in about an hour.

See you later...

Thanks Webbie for posting our picture of the New Dungeness Lighthouse on CAM5.

We are watching a History Channel program about the Mayflowers crossing of the Atlantic. I\'m glad I never had to sail in those days.

Liz-Slight menu change, they were out of pecan pie, so custard pie w/whipped cream instead. Your plate will be in the fridge, we\'ll leave the light on.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Nice picture om CAM5 Dee Langevin. Nice fall view, very creative scarecrow, it gives you the feeling of fall. It reminded me of Olmstead Park that Mies & I visited a few years ago. THANK YOU.

We will have a quiet Thanksgiving Day here, Caleb is visiting his Mother, our Daughter is at her In-Laws, & Shawn is with Julies parents. We are having a smoked turkey, pecan pie, & hot buttered rum.

But wait, I\'m not finished yet. That\'s a very fine scarecrow on CAM 5 today, Dee Langevin, and a serious garden. Thank you.

Also, Webbie, the short swim that the CAMS had seems to have been beneficial...the colors on all of them are coming through especially nicely today.

Bye! Now I\'m really gone.

Nice Thanksgiving picture, Webbie. Good to hear Elvis and \"Dixie\" this morning, too. How do countries that don\'t have Thanksgiving kick off the Christmas season? Y\'all should start a Thanksgiving Day, too. I don\'t see how anybody manages without one.

Well, now that I\'ve criticized 99% of all the countries in the world, I\'m off to making my wreath. Hehehehehe.

Take Care, All.

I wish Jack 1 and the lady a safe and enjoyable trip.

Perhaps Janey Mack will tell us her gender, Jack 2. I am always glad to see her/his posts, the three of you against one Liz is a little much, it\'s good to see someone jumping in on the other side to even things out a little bit, and Janey has your numbers, all of you. That is, if Janey is real. Jack has had so many incarnations you never know.

Mornin\'...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYBODY!

It promises to be a lovely day here, sunny and low 60sF. Perfect for \"Over the river and through the woods\", but not to Grandmother\'s house...it\'s Grandmother who goes over the river, etc., as she has already done her share of the Thanksgiving cooking, and it\'s the next generation\'s job, now. I\'ll be making my Florida-Georgia three-counties-two-dinners run later in the day. The truckie is all gassed up.

This morning I am making a pine cone wreath for my kitchen door, pine cones wired onto a metal form, with a Christmas ornament hung in the middle and a red bow, but it will stay up permanently, I\'ll change out the Christmas ornament for some Spring flowers or something, and with a change of ornaments and ribbon color, it can suit each season. There\'s your craft idea for the day. You\'re welcome.

Webmaster-Comment: ...just finished the mopping up now and cams back on. Jack might not have any time for me when he gets here - for the past few days two young ones have been in and out asking when he is going to be here and if I had had any word from him. I expect a few more callers also. They all want to be at the airport to greet him when he arrives. Oh well - long may he reign....lorl
