Pat, I didn\'t know they had another name. We simply called them Russian nesting dolls. Thanks for the info. Never too old to learn, unless you\'re Webbie who only admits to 89...should I be running?

Webmaster-Comment: ....lorl.......well some ladies stick on 39........89 doesn't seem too bad then.

Good morning, all and happy Christmas Eve! Hi, Mike.

Liz & Pat, how long have you been chatting here? The odd thing is there are lots of people who come here, but don\'t chat. Wonder why...

I\'m bristling with energy and nothing to do as hubby is still asleep and mustn\'t make much noise.

Yesterday, people wore shorts and grilled out, but today I am being serenaded by the sound of the North wind and soon the sn*w will be here. Isn\'t it amazing? We may have a white Christmas in Texas. A very rare thing, indeed.

The carved wooden nesting dolls are Russian, and are called \"Matryoshka\" dolls. My children had one when they were little tykes, and I knew they had a particular name. They are very traditional. Isn\'t the internet wonderful?

You\'re welcome.

♫ Hah! Look at that, Annette. I did it! Good for you, to figure out how to do that! Thank you.

That\'s a very different Nativity scene on CAM 5, S. O\'Muiri. I wouldn\'t know what to call the style of it, but it is bright and folksy and appealing to me. It makes me think of those traditional little wooden dolls that you can open up and find another nested inside that opens up until you get to the smallest one that doesn\'t open. They have a particular name, which I can\'t remember, and I can\'t remember what country they are from, either. They have a sort of a Russian look, as does that Nativity scene. I\'ll have to do some research to find what they are called and their country. Enjoyed seeing that, thank you.

Whatho chaps.

Just a quick visit to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to one and all and a belated happy birthday to webbie.

Treasa - Looks like we\'ve been sharing the weather again.

Heavy snow on Friday and a raging blizzard on Monday, took me four hours to drive 15 miles from our Luton office

to home.

Freezing temps all week, but raining now and snow disappearing fast.

Would have been nice to have a white Christmas, but everybody is pretty fed up with struggling to get about.

Don\'t know why, but a few inches of snow and the country grinds to a halt.

Been pretty hectic trying to get two papers out in a short week, but we should be home by lunchtime tomorrow ready to stuff my face with mince pies and turkey.

Mornin\'...

Ha ha, great Ned Kelly cleek, Webbie. I began to laugh out loud along about the time of the seven swans aswimming in the bathbub, and, of course, it gets worse and worse from there until you fall out of your chair laughing. Very funny. An uncontrolable laugh session is a great way to start a day. I\'m wired, now.

I\'m off to frolic and cavort, since I am all prepared for Christmas, and I hope y\'all have a great day. You especially, Webbie. Happy Birthday, again.

Hope you have a great day, and don\'t go too mad on the Guinness and Fosters.....

40 foot first I suppose... then celebrations. You will have to break the ice at the 40 foot.... and wear your wet suit. Anyway Webbie, have a great day. Breithla sona duit, agus cead ceann eile mar sin.

Everyone else have a great day. Last of the Christmas shopping to be done today...

Weather still very very cold. minus 8c last night and roads remain very dangerous for driving.

Take care everyone, and stay safe. Catch you all later.
