And (sorry I\'m too late) HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WEBBIE!!! How old are you right now? Weren\'t you already 98 last year? Are you 99 now? Over that??? Anyway, no matter how old you are, I\'m sure your PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT!!!!! (what\'s wrong with this word???)

Webbie, by the way, I wish you the happiest Christmas ever, I hope you\'ll have a great time, in the 40 Foot, in the O\'Shea\'s... wherever. Thank you very very much for keeping us all together here, dear friend!

I\'m running (as always!!!!), but I\'ll spend a couple of minutes to write some posts for you. I\'m on holidays in my hometown, León, but even though I don\'t have to work, I still can\'t stop, I go everywhere with my mother and sisters, I visit relatives and friends constantly... I\'m exahusted!!! But happy, of course, I love being here with my family, I hope you all are having some happy days too. MERRY XMAS, FRIENDS!!!

My friend about 50 miles north of me claims to have 4 foot snowdrifts around her house. We only have a few inches but it was very awesome to watch it snow sideways. 72 farenheit yesterday, 26 right now. Weird.

Fishing from the window sounds like a good way to go!

Five years of chat time, wow!

It\'s nice to see everyone popping in to wish a Merry Christmas to everybody. Hope all are well and safe where you are, except those who partied without us. I hope they have a headache. No names will be mentioned...

I just Googled \"Riblet Mansion\" & found some nice pictures & history.

Our clear blue skys & warm temperatures have passed. But they said on the weather this morning \"if you don\'t have snow on the ground now you won\'t have a white Christmas\" I can live with out it, I\'ve had a white Christmas or 2 in my time. Last Christmas Eve Shawn & I spent 3 1/2 hours clearing his driveway.

Merry Christmas to all.

We had a major fire here Tuesday night that gutted the Riblet Mansion, built by Byron Riblet, who invented the arial tramway. There were several antiques destroyed but the mansion it self didn\'t have any major structure damage, and will be restored. I think Mies & I sent pictures of it around a few years ago. It is now owned by Arbor Crest Winery & is on a rock bluff overlooking the Spokane Valley. At one time it was only accessed by a tramway across the Spokane River & they would stop the car sometimes & fish out of the window.

Good morning, all and happy Christmas Eve! Hi, Mike.

Liz & Pat, how long have you been chatting here? The odd thing is there are lots of people who come here, but don\'t chat. Wonder why...

I\'m bristling with energy and nothing to do as hubby is still asleep and mustn\'t make much noise.

Yesterday, people wore shorts and grilled out, but today I am being serenaded by the sound of the North wind and soon the sn*w will be here. Isn\'t it amazing? We may have a white Christmas in Texas. A very rare thing, indeed.

The carved wooden nesting dolls are Russian, and are called \"Matryoshka\" dolls. My children had one when they were little tykes, and I knew they had a particular name. They are very traditional. Isn\'t the internet wonderful?

You\'re welcome.

♫ Hah! Look at that, Annette. I did it! Good for you, to figure out how to do that! Thank you.

That\'s a very different Nativity scene on CAM 5, S. O\'Muiri. I wouldn\'t know what to call the style of it, but it is bright and folksy and appealing to me. It makes me think of those traditional little wooden dolls that you can open up and find another nested inside that opens up until you get to the smallest one that doesn\'t open. They have a particular name, which I can\'t remember, and I can\'t remember what country they are from, either. They have a sort of a Russian look, as does that Nativity scene. I\'ll have to do some research to find what they are called and their country. Enjoyed seeing that, thank you.
