Terrible about these snowstorms..This time last year we were buried under snow. I do not miss it this year. Annette, all we have of snow right now is a fuzzy little snowball that a friend gave us for our Xmas tree. I hope that\'s all we get...Ha! Fat chance of that, I\'m sure

Liz, I\'ve enjoyed the photos of your adorable new Grandson. He\'s a cutie.

Mar, I DID notice the full moon over New Years. It happens only once in a \"blue moon\"...

Phillis, A bird feeder that lets the birds come in. What fun...I should get that for our Sparrows that nest over our back door...Mr. Mies would have a fit...hehe

Webbie, thanks for keeping us so well informed. I will be checking back to see if Pat appears with news of Ms Cat.

Hello all...

Sorry to absent so much.

Treasa, I was sad to hear about your brother. I hope things get better for you soon. You\'ve endured so much.

So many losses and illness and now the GB pets too. If Seamus is anything like our Little Dash, not being able to run and play would be unbearable for him. Glad he will fully recover... I also hope Ms Cat will be better. Our daughter recently had to make a painful decision to have their Dalmatian, who had an uncurable illness put to sleep. It\'s hard to do, but harder to see them suffer.

Steph, you seem so much happier. I\'m so glad Bruce is doing so well...

I guess we won\'t get to see snow in Dublin very often but forecasters say more will come in Europe the next days. And the British and Irish isles are hit by the white stuff as well as Germany. I enjoy seeing the white pavements on the Cams in Dublin but I\'m not keen on shoveling snow before work here around.

Webbie and Mick, stay warm and save... ...and don\'t forget your bobble hats when you go out.

I love the \"seeking\" photo. What a treasure trove for musicians. My former neighbor had a small building, a shed really, which was an impractical size for his farm. For years I wondered why he had it air conditioned, but I never asked. One day he invited our little boy to visit him in the shed. The boy came home telling us that he had all kinds of instruments stored there and that he could play seven different instruments. And all those years I never knew that about the old man.

Jack 2, aren\'t birds amazing creatures. I have a mirrored bird feeder in the kitchen window which allows the birds to \"come inside\" as it extends inward from the window. This lets you watch them without their knowing. My youngest grandson who is 4, is fascinated by these birds.

You\'re having my kind of weather! The meteorologists are predicting our coldest winter in 25 years. Even though it is not like Annette or Jane\'s winter, it\'s still difficult for me to take. The only good thing is that it should kill off these horrid creatures known as fire ants.

Treasa, I\'m so sorry about your brother. I\'m so sad that he lost his fight against his illness. Take much care of yourself now.

Pat, it seems Ms Cat is in good hands. The vet will care about her.

Webbie, that\'s a great site about the birds. I like the voices.

...and the picture on Cam5 is great, too. Thanks Dermot.

Mr.Mies, I agree with you, 2010 started wonderfully, I had loads of fun on New Yearís Day, and Saturday 2nd was absolutely perfect: shopping in the morning with my favourite sister, a huge lunch for up to 13 people in my parentsí home (thanks, mom), a couple of pints in a pub with my sisters and favourite aunts, and dancing in the pubs with my sisters and brothers-in-law until 2am!

Mies, did you see the weird full moon on New Yearís Eve? Unfortunately I missed it (I was too busy having fun) but it must have been thrilling!

I hope heíll be ok soon, heís too young for being ill, poor dog I understand you, changes in work are always stressful, but youíll be used to them quite soon, youíll see Youíre right about how civilized weíre now, some days ago a cop friend in my small hometown Leůn was telling me how many crimes happened there every year, way too many for a small apparently peaceful town, too bad Iíll join you in your good proposal for 2010, Iíll try to visit this wonderful GB more often
