Hello chums

Annette - Yep bobble hats and thermals are the order of the day here in freezing Bedfordshire.

Seems like it\'s been snowing for weeks and the temps rarely above freezing.

Personally I reckon some people are milking it a bit and using the weather as an excuse for staying off work.

Just booked my Easter break in the Lakes - six nights at the Oddfellows Arms and five whole days of glorious freedom to wander lonely as a cloud o\'er vales and hills.

Don\'t be sad you had to end my pain,

and know that you will see me once again.

God\'s given me a place to wait for you,

and you know what? He says He loves me too!

There\'s lots of different critters all around,

in Heaven there\'s no evil to be found.

So all of us just seem to get along,

and Angels serenade us with their songs.

People here are kind they stroke my fur,

and they all seem to love it when I purr.

I\'m no longer sick so I am glad,

please don\'t fill your days by being sad.

I haven\'t really gone that far away,

and I\'m really looking forward to the day,

that we can be together up above,

in this land of peace and happiness and love.

Hi Webby. I don\'t know why I see this nci page huuu...ge! The cams photos don\'t take on the screen. Is it my fault? or has something changed in the page? What can I do to correct it? Thank you for your help.

Hi everybody. It\'s very cold here It\'s snowing in Madrid, as well.

Hi, Phillis. I don\'t forget you asked for a paella recipe. I prepared a short one in an e-mail for you, in Spanish. Then my son José María told me it wasn\'t very understandable, and had to be translated into English. As it is difficult for me -I\'m now rather lazy-, I asked him to do it for me. Well, he is busy day after day, and he\'s postponing his task, but don\'t get dispaired. Some day you will get your recipe translated.

Hugs, María

Mornin\'...

Ms Cat is still at the vet\'s, but she is not rallying, still not eating or drinking on her own, and the vet doesn\'t think she will. Susie has been wonderful in helping me with this, and we will go in to town this afternoon to do what is needed. I really can\'t write any more about it, except to say that Ms Cat has had the best of care, and a good life with probably the only person in the world who would put up with her wicked ways and actually find them endearing and funny. We were a good match, and I will miss her.

So.

Pat

Terrible about these snowstorms..This time last year we were buried under snow. I do not miss it this year. Annette, all we have of snow right now is a fuzzy little snowball that a friend gave us for our Xmas tree. I hope that\'s all we get...Ha! Fat chance of that, I\'m sure

Liz, I\'ve enjoyed the photos of your adorable new Grandson. He\'s a cutie.

Mar, I DID notice the full moon over New Years. It happens only once in a \"blue moon\"...

Phillis, A bird feeder that lets the birds come in. What fun...I should get that for our Sparrows that nest over our back door...Mr. Mies would have a fit...hehe

Webbie, thanks for keeping us so well informed. I will be checking back to see if Pat appears with news of Ms Cat.

Hello all...

Sorry to absent so much.

Treasa, I was sad to hear about your brother. I hope things get better for you soon. You\'ve endured so much.

So many losses and illness and now the GB pets too. If Seamus is anything like our Little Dash, not being able to run and play would be unbearable for him. Glad he will fully recover... I also hope Ms Cat will be better. Our daughter recently had to make a painful decision to have their Dalmatian, who had an uncurable illness put to sleep. It\'s hard to do, but harder to see them suffer.

Steph, you seem so much happier. I\'m so glad Bruce is doing so well...

I guess we won\'t get to see snow in Dublin very often but forecasters say more will come in Europe the next days. And the British and Irish isles are hit by the white stuff as well as Germany. I enjoy seeing the white pavements on the Cams in Dublin but I\'m not keen on shoveling snow before work here around.

Webbie and Mick, stay warm and save... ...and don\'t forget your bobble hats when you go out.

I love the \"seeking\" photo. What a treasure trove for musicians. My former neighbor had a small building, a shed really, which was an impractical size for his farm. For years I wondered why he had it air conditioned, but I never asked. One day he invited our little boy to visit him in the shed. The boy came home telling us that he had all kinds of instruments stored there and that he could play seven different instruments. And all those years I never knew that about the old man.

Jack 2, aren\'t birds amazing creatures. I have a mirrored bird feeder in the kitchen window which allows the birds to \"come inside\" as it extends inward from the window. This lets you watch them without their knowing. My youngest grandson who is 4, is fascinated by these birds.

You\'re having my kind of weather! The meteorologists are predicting our coldest winter in 25 years. Even though it is not like Annette or Jane\'s winter, it\'s still difficult for me to take. The only good thing is that it should kill off these horrid creatures known as fire ants.
