Annette, your dinners are exactly what I mean. People in the States do as Pat said, go to restaurants for Sunday dinner whereas it used to be a traditional family time. I used to go home every Sunday for dinner with the family. Now I am too far from my own family and miss those times around the dinner table.

Well, I must say, we still have dinner every Sunday all together. I don\'t know if this is considered big or not but I or Mr A or my mother or mother-in-law cook and we have dinner together. Except when we are on tour or in these days as driving is very bad now with all the snow and uncleared roads. You are welcome to have dinner with us.

...and wait... Webbie, I have to tell you, your top prices for sodium chloride can\'t draw me from the woodwork now. What would I do with all the water then?!?!?!

Hmmm, Pat, you mean I shouldn\'t give the snow away for free? I will think about that. But first I have to build a fence to keep people with flame-throwers out. They would ruin my business.

Nice shot on CAM 5 today, Steph. Pretty colors, but it looks cold as hell there.

It\'s good that Bruce is doing so well. Give him a big hug from here.

Stay warm.

Mornin\'...

Phillis, you are such an early bird! The only way I\'d be on this computer at 4 AM is if I hadn\'t been to sleep all night, I think.

Yes, the big Sunday dinner seems to have gone the way of the dinosaurs, which is too bad, it was nice. You\'ll find the after-church crowd in a restaurant, these days. I remember my mother\'s Sunday roast beef and mashed potatoes, and then the stew we called \"Mulligan\" on Monday, which was laundry washing day, made from the leftovers. The stew was as delicious as the original roast beef. There was a nice predictable rhythm to life in those days.

It\'s still cold here, record cold both as to temps and duration, I\'m afraid, but I\'ll get through if the well and pump continue working, and I don\'t get any frozen and burst water pipes.

Should warm up to 50F and sunny today, not too bad.

Gotta go...I\'ve got work to do. Take Care, Everybody.

Yesterday, the hubby and I were lamenting the fact that we missed the big Sunday dinners we used to have. Then, lo and behold, his sister and husband came over to let me drive the new Dodge Charger (sweet ride for a v6) and they stayed for dinner. Called over his cousin, too. I served western supper and shortbread cookies. We had a wonderful visit. I\'m not a Scot, but I wish I\'d had some cake to serve! It\'s a pity we\'re all too medicated to drink here. We would have toasted Arizona\'s win over Green Bay. Sorry, cheeseheads, we are not Packers fans.

\"Rubber ducky, you\'re the one. You make bath time so much fun...\" and that\'s all I can remember of that song. The oddest money maker I\'ve ever heard of is making jewelry from dried dung. How enchanting, don\'t ya think? I guess that\'s for the woman who wants to repel men.

Annette, I am sure that this new money-making enterprise of yours will be more of a success than the time Sarah and I went to breeding rubber duckies.

We just couldn\'t get the little buggers to understand what they were supposed to do.

Good Luck!

Annette, that is an absolutely brilliant idea, selling your snow to people in hot climates so they can build an igloo. I\'ve always wanted to build one, but the only available material here is beach sand, and that stuff keeps crumbling, and crumbling, and falling in, you can\'t get up much above 3 or 4 courses, and roofing it over would be impossible. Gawd, the sand in your eyes and hair!

I\'ll arrange for Webbie to send me a containerful about July, it\'s a little too chilly now for a bulding project, unless I do it indoors.

There must be a million others like me who will want to do it, you are going to be rich, girl friend!

Awwwww, Jeez, 4ket and pi*k it all, somebody stole Madam Woo\'s Snow Removal Method, and is touting it on the Internet. Thanks for exposing those charlatans, Webbie. Lawsuits will follow.

Total failure re origami cranes in the folding session today. We couldn\'t make heads or tails (pun intended, hehehehehe) out of the instructions, and gave it up until we research it more.

However, Erin taught me to fold a \"Cootie Catcher\", and tell fortunes with it, so it wasn\'t a compete loss. She says her first grade teacher taught them to do it. Now that\'s an excellent teacher, she taught them something very useful, in addition to the alphabet.

I\'m off to take a couple of Advils. Reading all those small print origami instructions gave me a headache. Bummer.
