Hey, Liz. You are already starting on your week...we are just winding up our weekend here.

Annette, I love origami, I\'m fascinated with the masters work, but only ever made one thing before.

When I was in school, I had a Japanese drafting instructor named \"Tock\", and one day he brought in little squares of paper of different colors, and talked the class through folding a simple origami bird. Then he collected them all, and didn\'t say a word. However, the next time we had a class, when we walked down the first floor corridor, there they all were, hanging by strings from the ceiling into a stairwell, at eye level on that floor.

Continued...

Cont.

When you walked down the stairs you had a multicolored flock of birds over your head, and best of all, when the nearby door to the outside opened, it caused a draft and made all the birds sway and flutter. It was magic...beauty and art made from folding some little squares of colored paper. It was one of those things that stays in your mind forever, and now I\'ll have some of it in my own house.

Mar, I owe you a mail but I won\'t get it ready today. You are right about the help for Haiti. We already did our sharing. Poor people, I hope they will get fast help.

Phillis, hope your bug will be gone soon. Thanks for the funny mail but to be honest when I send it to ten different people it will end in the same mailboxes again where it already is (the GBers). I don\'t have ten other English speaking friends. Very difficult...

Pat, I liked your origami crane. That remembered me of some things that I did a few years ago. There are real masters of the origami technique all over the world. I always wonder how they do it. I will have to look if I can find my humble efforts somewhere. There must be also a book with guidances. Now I\'m motivated to do it again.

Miiiiieeeeeeeesss, a bunch of \'sweet old ladies\'. We are all 39+ at the very most. Except Webbie, he is 98 but he isn\'t a lady... anyway I think. hehehe And by the way, the rating for me would be \'G\' as all children like monkeys.

Jeannie, I\'m on here since January 2006 and \'met\' all the nice people that were also on at that time but in fact I met Webbie, Mar and Treasa personally when we were in Ireland in 2008. And I met Maria A. in Spain last summer. Probably it\'s a bit easier for me than for you to meet the European GBers as it isn\'t too far away. Yet, it is also due to my fondness for travelling. I still have in mind to go to England, to the USA and to Australia some day too. But first of all I don\'t want to miss this \'bunch of neighbours\' here. Inclusive you. Enjoy the sleep in tomorrow...

Hello everyone, the first day here with temperatures above 0C/32F and it started to rain about an hour ago. The snow will melt and I hope we won\'t get floods with all the water. Forecasters say we will get frost again and then iced roads and paths are the problem. I tried to use the advantages of the situation as I was out nearly every day with the skis on the fields. I could start right from the garden fence what never was possible as long as we live here. Usually, we had to go to the nearby mountains for skiing.

Treasa, it\'s so good to see you here. Take your time to rest and recover.

Liz, I can tell you I\'m not really fond of the monkey bird smilie. I like this one much more. hehehe ...and as you can see it is absolutely different from the other. But the smilie that I like most is this one . Though I realised that I didn\'t use it very often the last time.

Thank you Pat, I do have some experience. And I have a great time at school, I have several people in my classes who are older than me. It is a great group as well, we are in it together as we are in blocks. So each semester it is the same group, until we all graduate. We all are in the Middle grades, just different subject areas.

Hey, Jeanie, I\'ve been meaning to say \"Good for you!\" about going back to school. I did that too, and have always been glad I did. A more mature student brings some life experience to further education, and so gets much more out of it than the very young. You\'ll be a better teacher than any of your classmates at the end.

Phillis, that bug is around here too, many people are sick with it. I hope you\'re better. Try just toast and tea until your tummy gets right. That\'s my mother\'s old method, and it has always worked for me.

Y\'all take care.

Thank you for speaking up, Annette. I agree. Sniping at each other and calling names makes others on this site uncomfortable, there is nothing to be gained by it. A good difference of opinion, put in a polite way can be informative, and readers can make their own decision about what they think about the matter and maybe go away with some new thoughts about it, but that kind of bickering has no possible positive results.

And the old excuse of \"I was only kidding, don\'t you have any sense of humor?\" doesn\'t cut it. It\'s just not so that you are joking. Please phone or e-mail or short wave radio each other with your ugly remarks, and spare the rest of us.

Also Phillis, I hope you are feeling better too! It is no fun being sick.

Mick, did Seamus have heartworms? From the sound of \"keeping him still,\" it sounded a bit like treatment for heartworms. I have TONS of animals, and love them all, it is so sad when they are sick or hurt too. Well I hope seamus id better soon too! Take care everyone! Jeanie

Ok well I am shocked ...and I thought you were just all a bunch of sweet ladies sharing recipies! No seriously, I am soooo loving this GB it is great and thank you all for being so kind. It does have it\'s moments juggling school and a family. But I know it will pay off eventually. I have been doing this for several years now, it has to pay off eventually. It has been a nice weekend so far, well needed. So I hope you all have a great rest of your weekends, We have a three day weekend here, so we are sleeping in tommorrow! Talk to everyone later, Jeanie

JaneyMack, wherever you are and whoever you are, we know that Liz and Jack1 have a battle on here from time to time where I don\'t want to get caught in the crossfire. And, of course, we all would help Liz if she would be in need. BUT, by any chance, could you please stop using all your swear words here. As Pat said yesterday, we want to be kind and polite to each other on this GB as this sites can be read by children and anyone else. There are enough revilements and slanders in the world. We don\'t want to have it here.

My rant for the day.

Mar, how do you keep up with everyone\'s information? It\'s amazing. I would have to take notes in order to remember the things you do.

Mr. M, you better keep an eye on your Mrs. She\'s doing strange things in elevators with ninjas...her words, not mine!LOL
