Saw the first robin of the year on Saturday! Yeah! Spring is coming. Next will be the dogwoods in Mid-March. Can you believe Easter is April 4th this year? Pat, I love refinishing furniture. Your stools sound like a lovely project for the grandgirls.

Jeanie, I\'m in ASL 4 and I couldn\'t get by without aslpro! I also have a paperback dictionary. I want to be able to interpret for the hospital staff but it\'s really difficult...so nice to know that if we are ever face to face, we could sign to each other!

Here we go talking of food again. Chili sounds yummy, Jack. Jacarandas are lovely, but I don\'t have any. I have a mimosa that sheds terrible but the hummingbirds adore it and the pink jasmine.

My neighbors have a butterfly bush with purple blooms, but it doesn\'t bloom very long in Texas. That\'s it from me. Hello annette and everyone else. Happy Monday, Mar. Hope you woke up in time for work.

Elizabeth My Dear,

We have got two in our back garden (Jacarandas) for shade, they cover about half of the back as we have got a quarter acre block and they are not on the fence line, but very nice in the summer to sit under and sip ice tea with an Irish friend, also they do not interfere with the sewerage as ours is deep sewerage not like some places in Australia on septic tanks....Jack2

Hello Patricia, Annete, and Liz. You all sound very well. I had a great day myself, enjoying watching my kids and hubby ride around on the gokart. They were so funny. Just got it this weekend, was able to bribe the kids into cleaning their room in return for ticket on the gokart. It was nice but very cold.

Yes, the animals are all well, and I do love their companionship. Pat, I haven\'t really noticed a whole lot of things blloming yet, however, I must say I have been so busy I haven\'t really had time to get out in my garden and plunder. I do so love my plants and flowers. My favorite are butterfly host plants, I have several. I love butterflies. I haven\'t ever heard of jacarandas though. I have seen lots of robins though and ladybugs. Well have a nice day all, Jeanie

Jack 1-I agree it\'s a totally different game. They are both played with a ball & on a field. After that it\'s nothing in common.

Watching the Super Bowl today, just an average game so far. We have a large tri-tip on the BBQ for diner & a cold beer to wash it down.

We went pheasant hunting again today & as usual now, Molly was impressive. She is so much fun to watch.

Our weather is still mild, some rain every other day or so & the ground isn\'t frozen now so it\'s all soaking in. All the springs are running, the robins are here, & lady bugs are out in large clumps, it feels like spring.

I\'ve been spray painting small pieces of furniture this last week, I must be getting Spring Fever. I just put the first coat on two little stools that my Grandgirls used to use with a small table for their tea parties when they were small, but they\'ve grown big enough to use the kitchen table now, their legs barely fit under that little table. They are very sturdy little stools, though, with cute little turned legs, and I\'m spraying them white and will put some bands of color on the turnings, and paint some vines and flowers on them and put their names on the tops, and they can keep them for when they marry or have a place of their own to use as plant stands or stepstools in the kitchen, it\'s always nice to have a way to reach those top shelves.
